Rear swaybar can be replaced by backing the car onto ramps. Don't need to remove or loosen anything, including the exhaust. Remove it with stock swaybar links still attached to the bar.
Great mods, thank you for these Alltrack videos. Really enjoying mine. Replacing the squishy stock control arm bushings to Audi RS3 control arm bushings for only $60 it's well worth it.
Sweet video and the car, thanks for sharing! One note, you should have bolted up the shocks without springs and with bumpstops on and measured out how much you need to cut to optimize shock travel without letting the tire contact the top of the wheel well. By just eyeballing it you are risking that tire to wheel well contact upon extreme compression (track day). When that happens tires abruptly loose traction with the road you the car goes sliding.
You’re right. And it should be done with the tires you race with. Which these are not. That is more for setting the car up for track. I ended up cutting around the amount that the wagon was lowered by. So far have not had issues with a full load and some serious bumps. No rubbing on the OEM wheel and tire combo. We will see how things are on the summer setup which you get a glimpse of in the video.
good to see the love for the Alltracks - a couple of questions - which Bilstein struts/ shocks did you use? B6 or B8? Which diameter sway bar did you choose? Whiteline has several (i chose their 22mm for my 2019 Alltrack, as I have similar goals to yours - keep it very daily drivable, but improve performance.
They are B8s. Here is a link to the cup kit showing all parts. www.stratifiedauto.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=332_240_272&products_id=1100
I want to upgrade my suspension already but I have the factory lift. I am looking for battle wagon springs that retain or increase the lift. Do I go with Atlas or Tiguan springs?
Thank you Alex and Clayton for giving this platform the TLC you are and showing everyone what potential they have.
Love watching this - the AT/GSW are great cars to mod. Really looking forward to your tuning/larger turbo journey!!!
It’s in the works!

Loading the rear suspension will help with the removal. We did this on the lift and were planning to do the rest of it anyways.
My son in law and I swapped out the standard rear sway bar and swapped in a Golf R sway bar in under an hour in the carport.

Love these OEM+ mods

Hard to say what exactly will fit. There are also spacer lift kits. The cup kit here however improves the handling so much over the stock stuff.
Nice video😀
What type of Rims ?
Those are actually snow tire rims. They are nothing special but get the job done in the snow with 225 wide tires.
@@stratifiedauto Thank’s for writhing back. My question was what model of rims is that? Not type of tires
Greetings
why? because you have the garage haha
Because modding is fun.
Crap. I expected a detailed mechanical video and it's all blah blah 😢
What kind of details are you looking for?
@stratifiedauto HumbleMechanic, M539 Restorations, ChrisFix to name a few.
