dude I grew up in Toronto around the same time as him. His family, my family, and most of us brown friends families were all basically the same in terms of wealth. We were definitely not rich or anything, but definitely was not "poverty" either. And we definitely went to the theater to see tons of Hollywood movies growing up. Again, not like every week, but at least once every month or two.

When my parents used to take me to the desi theatre sometimes while the movie is playing the audio would stop working or it would only come from one speaker in the theatre. My Dad would get so pissed and start asking people beside him if the sound is shit. Once his consensus was done, he would walk out of the theatre room and go find the owner/manager and tell them that the sound is bad which in the end, got everyone in the theatre room free tickets to use for next time😂😂😂 oh and he would sometimes bring the owner in the theatre and make him listen to how bad the audio was😶😶

There are many times you and your mom can try and jump a traffic signal living in a western society and city. And I can assure you that at certain times she will be caught and given a fine and a many times your mom will be able to sneak and escape a traffic fine and punishment. Ultimately, who should be blamed If she does it intentionally??? Some rules are made for civilized educated people and the theatre staff and management expects that If you are coming to a theatre to watch a movie then you be educated and moral enough and have some etiquettes to not do what you have just mentioned.

I can so relate to that. Growing up In the black community it's pretty similar movie going experience. At least 2 or 3 people will start yelling at the screen "Are you crazy don't open the door!!" then one person will say "Shut up! I can't hear." then the fight was on from there. Usher and security would tell everyone to shut up or get out. At least 1 or 2 people would be thrown out. You only saw parts of the movie. So when I go to a Bollywood theater

My movie theater story is that this random family sitting next to me had very annoying son. He kept disturbing everyone around him by walking up and down the isle. When the mom told him to shut up he would cry. One point in the movie, the main actor and actress we're arguing and fighting and the kid next to me goes, mom look, that was you and dad. You and dad fight like this when you want to divorce but dad doesn't.
