I never worked in a factory. But before I left for college I work in a landscaping company in Houston making 350-450 a week. It sucked working in Texas heat but totally worth it. Had a great experience working and met a lot of other Hispanics working hard to support their families in Mexico that was struggling there. Even met the one old man named Hector (67) how worked to make fulfill a promise to his granddaughter that she will have a college fund by the time she was 18. I much I didn't want to have a job like that, it was totally worth it and I had some mad crazy money for college life. 👌🏽

I worked in an aluminum factory in my senior year. Fuck dude, that shit was depressing af. It was so damn loud and we weren't really able to talk. You do the same mundane task for hours and literally run out of things to think about. The best lesson it taught me was how fucked up my life would be if I didn't do well and graduate from school.

I work at a small yogurt shop over the summer. Just 2 weeks ago the local elderly homeless man who hangs out nearby came in to the store at around 9 pm, clearly drunk and holding a Subway sandwich bag in his hand. He bumbled something about wanting a knife to spread his mustard around or some shit, and I, against my better judgment handed him a small knife. I expected he would just use it there in the store but nope, he walked out and into the night with it. Still hasn't brought it back.

Yo, I'm doing the exact same shit Reign!! I worked night shift for a month last summer in a factory doing the same boring thing for 8 hours, 6 days a week! Now I'm working all summer for 5 months getting that steady paper, haha. Both of my parents work in the same factory and god bless them, I can't believe the hard work they've been doing ALL THESE YEARS!! It really does open your eyes and appreciate the value of hard work.
