I see why the classic blood effect was removed in the post-orange box build, is not too noticeable on some environments
Hope that someone release a mod that makes the classic blood more visible

I do like the classic fire better, but I still had to turn off classic effects because the classic blood is terrible.

yo can use the classic fire without having to use classic blood! you have to put "r_classic_blood 0" in the console!

You can activate Classic Effects independently using the console with r_classic_blood and r_classic_fire commands, in case you only want one of the two.

I prefer the classic blood and fire, but I also grew up playing the original CD launch version of Half Life 2, so anything that looks more updated bugs me.

You should export your videos differently, this is interlaced. Otherwise though good comparison!

my export settings probably messed up, but it looked fine before uploading so thats weird. But surprisingly, the interlacing gives of that classic tv vibe which fits well so i'd rather not reupload it and lose the views and the interest.
