How To Use 3D Puff Vinyl With The Cricut EasyPress 2

- Puff heat transfer vinyl is a special htv that when applied properly it creates a puff effect on your material or shirt. This 3d puff heat transfer vinyl was so unique that I had to try it.
For puff htv to expand correctly you need the right amount of pressure, which is hard to do with the Cricut EasyPress.
I tested things for 2 weeks, and just when I was ready to give up a friend had a suggestion that actually worked.

This video saved me from wasting the walakut puff vinyl from Heat Transfer Warehouse. In my opinion, if a Cricut product can cut the vinyl then a Cricut product should also be able to apply the product. Thank you so much!
Tip: Stretch The Shirt After You Press It To Make Sure Its Durable & To Make It Last Longer
Thank you so much for this video it was so helpful. I bought my 3D vinyl and I guess I didn't read the small print I was just so excited until came in the mail and I open up my box and the note said not recommend for the Cricut Easy Press. I search and came across your page and I am glad I did because I was going to count as a lost. Keep up the great work.
Oh my gosh! Thank you so much for doing this video. I too was excited to make a shirt with my daughter for my grandbaby. Not only were we doing puff, we were layering it with glitter htv. I was so caught up in slicing out the tail part (which was going to be pink puff) I looked up the settings online really quick, did the glitter bunny first, then the puff tail but it came out wrinkly (like well I can't describe it any better than it looked like a brain? lol) still super cute and it puffed but it was wrinkly. I had done 275 degrees for 10 seconds. Now I can't wait to break everything back out and try it again at 310:) THANK YOU AGAIN
Same as the comment above. I was having a hell of a time trying to properly apply EasyPuff with my cricut press (same as the one in the video). I almost thought that the material was no good but that didn't seem like something the good ol' Siser co. would produce. Thanks for the vid!
@TechVdot8 this was from a while ago but after that I heard somewhere that the puff won't work with the easy press because you can't get enough pressure. I just got a hand me down heat press and I will try it in the near future to see if I can get it to work better:)
...on a side note almost all of the samples I did with the puff and easy press fell apart after washing them about 5-6 times.
@@meeshlvslobster yikes! The falling apart after a few washes is not very promising. I was just thinking of doing some samples as well with these settings (and sounds like maybe with a ton of pressure). I didn't buy a ton of this material but it does suck to think that I might not be able to make good use of it.
@TechVdot8 I would try it with a regular heat press and wash it at least 5 times to see how it holds up before you make something for sale or something important :) just to be sure.
Did it work for you?
Thank you so much for making this vid, I was told it couldn’t be done with a Cricut press and there were no vids on RUclips about it
It takes a lil work but it can be done.
Very cute! Thanks for the extra tip about the crease down the center.
Thank you for this video! It finally puffed for me. 🙌🏾
Thank you so much for that video I bought the vinyl and was scared to use it now I am definitely going to make a T-shirt thank you.
Thank you so much for this video!!!! Have you tried puff on a sweatshirt?
Hey Sis thank you for the tutorial it was very informative and I did make a t shirt and it came out great 👍
You’re very welcome!
Dope. Thanks. I will definitely try this
Trying my first one today!
Great Video, thank you for sharing!!!
Thank you this was very helpful!
You’re welcome!
Thank you very much!!!
I was ready to give up🤦🏽♂️
What puff vinyl do you use???
Does it have to be a towel or can you use the EasyPress mat?
What brand vinyl did you use! Your tutorial was amazing and I want to make sure my project looks as great as yours!
You are simply amazing
Thank you!
Mines still come out wrinkled even with all pressure
Thanks for sharing 👍
Hoq long does it stay on for 🤔🤔
To get a smoother result do 320° for 8 sec but put a pillow underneath the garment and put the pressure verry strong thats important.
Can you explain how to get stronger pressure
@@leroymiller2657 yes of course. So if your machine doesn't let you adjust the pressure, you can add a teflon pillow or fold a shirt in a square a little bigger then the design then press.
Can you do puff and regular htv on same shirt? Not talking layer just like one word puff and rest htv
Yes, but do the puff last because it's the most sensitive.
Thank you so much! Is the 3D puffy similar to siser flock vinyl?
No completely different. Puff is 3 dimensional. Think marshmallow vinyl.
Link no linger works to purchase the SVG😢
nice
Fireeee ❤❤❤❤🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
Do you have a full video from the start to the end on the puff heat transfer vinyl
What brand of puff vinyl did you use in your tutorial? Siser or WALAkut?
How do I place the vinyl on the matte b4 the cut out shiny side on mat and matte side up right?
When cutting any heat transfer vinyl (for T-shirts or other fabrics, etc.) the adhesive side is face up and the "good" or front facing side is laid down onto the carrier sheet.
The carrier sheet is the part you want down touching your mat so that you may cut the adhesive side (in *mirror*).
This may be verified with any piece of vinyl, PSA or HTV, by peeling a corner slightly. The transparent sheet is the liner or carrier, either static or sticky, and this goes down on the mat.
Putting the liner down on the mat ensures that a "kiss cut" on the vinyl material will cut through the material itself but not all the way through the carrier sheet on the bottom.
With PSA, the decal is peeled from the carrier, where the adhesive is now exposed. With HTV, the whole design is flipped over and pressed, activating the already-exposed adhesive. The carrier sheet is then peeled off (and also acts to protect the press surface).
Thank u Rock Star
Perfect 😍
I have some questions to ask you about a project I have been trying to get started please, call me when have time . Ty
What the name of the vinyl you used?
Can you use the puff vinyl with regular vinyl?
Can I use puff vinyl on polyester?
Hi. Can you sublimate on white puff vinyl?
Some of my 3D puff doesn’t puff up I have even pressure any idea?
Nice to the point video. 1 thing speak a lil louder. thank you.
I appreciate this video so much!! I got so excited when I ran across puff vinyl videos on tik tok not knowing my easy press wasn’t good enough lol. But this still didn’t work for me 🥴, do u know/think layering it on top of glitter HTV makes a difference?
You definitely don’t want to layer this one! Especially with glitter.
Glitter is for top layer only. It’s not meant for things to go on top of it.
Appreciate the tip much help so do yu peel warm or cold ????
Warm peel it right away!
How long did you make your saying
Awesome video! Thank you 😊 what setting did you use on the Cricut?
I just used the vinyl setting.
Thank you! I will try that. I had used the iron on setting and it didn’t cut through, I couldn’t peel it.
Super cute but what’s the purpose of the towel
The mat is too fluffy.
@@JamelaPayne oh ok thank you ma’am
Dope!
Which cricut machine is this?
So you don’t neeed anything in between the press & the vinyl when your pressing ?
I usually don’t, the transfer paper is enough in my opinion. But it’s mostly whatever you’re comfortable with.
Thank you so much for this video 🤍.
Which pen do you use for your cricut to cut on your vinyl ?
I’m having so much trouble .
I don’t understand, do you mean blade? I use the fine point blade.
@@JamelaPayne Oh yes that’s what I meant , thank you so much .
What is the base material?
What do you select before you cut the vinyl?? Do you just select regular vinyl or what I’m having a hard time??
I use regular vinyl. What kind of trouble are you having?
Is it suppose to puff up and be smooth or small bumpy squiggles?
Smooth. If you have squiggles you need more pressure.
@@JamelaPayne if you get the squiggles, do you lay a teflon sheet down and press it longer til you get the smooth?
I never tried to double press.
@@JamelaPayne Ok I feel confident enough to test it out!
Ugggghhhh the squiggles love me😭😭😭
Have you every tried to remove puff vinyl from a shirt?
hey how did you get your design on the puff sheet ?
I don’t think I understand.
What brand of puff vinyl?
WalaKut there is a link in the description.
What is you want a bigger logo
I don’t understand the question.
@@JamelaPayne what if you want a bigger logo how can that be made and what size map would you need
It doesn’t look like it was pressed enough with it looking there’s space between the shirt and vinyl
There’s no space, it’s puff vinyl so it stands up off of the shirt.
Oh I know it’s just the angle of the picture it looks like.
I angled it that way only so you could see the puff. 😊
🙏🏽
Ever used 2D puff htv?
You probably had so much trouble because it is possibly walakut puff. That stuff is terrible. Econopuff is they way to go. No testing needed
Do you have to mirror it?
Yes just like regular htv
@@JamelaPayne thank you
