I gotta be honest, Im a bit underwhelmed by the Spectrovox. There just isn't anything that it does that we cannot already do. I'll get one eventually though. I'm just going to wait till it pops up on Reverb for 400-
I'd say Arturia takes the day. One major bonus about it is that it will drive the price of a used PolyBrute (standard) down a bit. ...I'm saving up some ducketts.

Samuraaaiii!! Dude, this video has me overwhelmed. Some of these syntha are ridiculous. Especially that Arturia PolyBrute 12, wow. I felt poor just by looking at the color. The Pittsburgh Modular is calling me. The Behringer Model 15 is an instant buy for the price. Korg is smoking something, I don't know. The Moog is ok, nothing crazy about it. As far as a music store to test things first hand, I think the only one nowadays in the whole Northeast is Alto Music Store in Middletown, NY. I've seen it before and it's a big store, never been in it though. I'm going to pay it a visit in a few weeks. Great video as always. 👍👍👍👍👍

love that bullfrog video hahaha . so creative!
that pittsburgh modular looks really really interesting, and has that wood grain to it which is awesome - I have to say as well. The percussa ssp and the tiptop art are still my top modular picks . maybe now actually tiptop, because it circumvents the 1v/oct osc tuning problem - I play chords a lot, so having at least 8 voices is important. Maybe ssp does it too, I dont know. SSP has patch memory though. choices, choices!
pb12 has a pretty cool full touch keybed on there. sounds pretty cool, ill have to check out more demos. is the sound the same as the 6, though, mostly?

I love that I love when they do inverted keys that’s a sharp looking keyboard. I love that. Pittsburgh modular get rid of all their old modules. You can’t buy them anymore and they came out with this and the tigah I hope I spelt that right and I have to say they’re right on spot on great synthesizer.
As far as Arturia goes, what I don’t understand is hope somebody can correct me if I’m wrong, but it looks like it has the touché which the original poly brutehad and now the keyboard is a lot like the expressive E Osmos so I’m wondering if those two were working together, I know that they are both companies from what I understand But at $3999.99 is crazy so is Arturia the new Moog?
What’s interesting about the bullfrog ad? Reminds me a lot of Pittsburgh modular ads just goes to show you companies of cloning companies ads as well as their machines lol 😂 OK that bullfrog synthesizer is ridiculous and I will tell you that I’ve never seen knobs that big. They must’ve had them custom-made.
Pittsburgh modular is amazing and I love it because they’re made right here in the good old USA.
Very cool stuff very very cool stuff and you’re right it looks amazing .

I still think that the Roland vocoders sound better than Moog that’s just my opinion.
Even the waves vocoder, they forget the names of them, but those two sound better than this, but this is also a synthesizer so hats off to Moog I guess?
Moog living off their name they put a synth out and people automatically go. Oh it’s a Moog. I have to buy it because Moog made a synthesizer. I’m sorry, but that’s a bunch of bull.
But you know you can also achieve those sounds without spending $599 on some cheap pedals guitar pedals that is.
You can also run your sense through any of the Roland vocoder to achieve these types of sounds sorry Moog over priced underwhelmed.

@@EchoKraft I think the point you’re overlooking is the Moog is analog. It has less bands than a digital vocoder which means it’s less intelligible for speech. Drum loops on the other hand sound otherworldly. Again, different tools for different tasks.

As an owner of a Polybrute 6 I fully understand the price of the Polybrute 12, however at 4K it will have a limited diffusion IMO. Personally I really hope that Arturia comes up with an MPE midi controller based on this poly aftertouch keybed. Since they added MPE to the regular Polybrute, this might be a less expensive upgrade plan for current Polybrute owners.

All they could do is use a less powerful CPU, remove the digital to analog converter and the audio output component. This wouldn’t save that much money. If they come out with a controller only version of the Osmose that is only $100 less, people will still decide to buy the original Osmose even if they don’t really want the internal synth engine.

The Polybrute 12 sounds great. The cost is acceptable seeing you don’t have to buy a controller like the Osmose. Having said that, it is too much for a guy on a pension, like myself. • @klstay
    @klstay 23 дня назад +1

    A) The Moog makes sense to clear out old parts and access to every filter has SOME interesting possibilities, but were I looking for vocoding Waldorf STVC can be had used for $750 and is a LOT more interesting IMHO.
    B) Erica has always made solid quality kit. This looks like more of that. Not interesting to me and I honestly cannot think of who this is aimed at given their pricing.
    C) Voltage Lab 2 looks absolutely brilliant. Gets you in fairly deep if you want to lose yourself for hours just exploring sounds, but also covers a LOT of "traditional" territory IF you know what you are doing. $2k is a bit high IMHO, but going self built modular to replicate it would be the same (or more) and then you are in the vasty deep and really need to know what you are doing. Very cool.
    D) Model 15 - come on Behringer where is the Proton!?! Way more interesting to those of us who already have a Model D.
    E) PB12 - First, it continues to puzzle me why no one really talks about the voices mod source on it which is basically full access to the Sequential "vintage" type feature instead of just a knob. The keybed capabilities are truly compelling; it will be interesting to see if ASM can replicate it with a firmware bump or it will require new hardware. Great synth design just like PB6, but just like it also the shortcomings. With "unlimited" expressiveness as a main goal the morphee X/Y/Z sharing source lanes with mod/ribbon/exp2 is unfortunate. Still no second pair of outs at this price?!? No doubt same mediocre onboard effects - the bane of most synths with them. Given Matrixbrute I understand the filter choices, but that has always held it back as a polysynth IMHO. Personally I wish they would have released a PB6 desktop with polychain under $1500 over a year ago, these keybed capabilities in keylab mk3, and not wasted so many resources on the moronic astrolab. Were I spending this much there is no question the oscillators, filters, and "dual live" control layout on Super Gemini would far outweigh full travel mod/key. It does look great, but the UDO looks like modern polysynth perfection.
