Still catching up Jimmy, but really enjoying Day in the Shop marathon lol! lost internet 3 times since yesterday, not complaining, lots of folks so much worse off
@@JimmyMakingitwork yes, so very bad in NC. We got it kind of rough here in southern WV. Several people on my road lost their homes from trees crashing into their roofs, very sad. My brother was trapped in his house by a live wire that came down in front of his door but stayed connected! They were finally able to move it to allow him out for his chemo!
warning to fellow mechanic's with autotell scanners .I watched a short were a scanner was left in the car in the hot sun unplugged ,it got hot and started a fire and burnt his car dash and the interior of his truck ,its a write off
I just got the code of death as well on a 2020 hyundai Tucson! Lol it's under warranty so I sent that customer to the dealership. Time for a motor! I don't know why Hyundai and Kia decided to name that code glow relay. It makes no sense.
On the Camry with the rotten plastic connectors, I see that you used the ol' crumble and replace trick. Very smart, Jimmy! ***I used to do drugs. I still do, but I used to too.***
Autolite plugs? Our local independent, who was shop foreman at the local Chevy dealer, has been installing Autolite plugs in GM cars. I prefer to stick with the plugs the manufacturer recommends. The wrong plugs can lead to misfires that will damage ignition coils.
On that Kia, that's common. There was some recall for the wiring harness first and some update on the knock sensor. Had it with our Hyundai. After that harness "update," the tech at the dealer said that a new engine is next...and he was right 😂. We did get a new engine. I know people hate Hyundai, but our experience(other than the engine lol) has been good. I maintain the oil/fluids, brakes, etc. I'm sure others have had a different experience, but all cars break one way or another
Another Great day in the shop!
Thank you my friend!
That's nice of Rob to loan you his bit from the MAC socket set.
p.s. Now you have to go and buy your own! 😁
lol, just might do that! Thanks

Haha! Man some people got wiped out, so sad. Far worse north of Florida it seems!

And we're off to the races. lol
Good Monday Jimmy.
Morning Biggie!
Great video Jimmy 👍 👍 What happened with the Kia?
Nothing yet, I think he is checking with the dealer about warranty.
12:22 I heard that knock.
Something going on!

Yeah, I think with any tool using a lithium battery keeping then out of really hot environments is a good idea!
Thanks OB!
First First go me Good morning, Sir Jimmy
Morning! Winner!
Is Rob part owner there where you work,Jimmy?
He is the service manager.
Sad day for the KIA owner. A big win on the Toyota. S10 has been doing his own work for years, the only way you can keep these older cars alive.
Haha very true Lloyd!

Yeah, kind of baffling. Maybe trying to throw AutoZone off the tracks, haha.
Nice work!
Which scan tool is that? I like it.
It is the launch x431 Pro TT. Should be in my Amazon store. Might be a sale coming up next week! ;)
You didn’t run the scope down the Kia spark plug holes. The battleship grey is probable my least favorite color, my opinion only
Yeah, no need to on this one Tom.
I like colors, had a few white and silver vehicles, kind of prefer brighter colors nowadays myself.
good morning Jimmy, what’ scan tool do you have and did you have the chance to work with topdon scan tool ?
Yes I have, I am using both a Phoenix Lite 2 and a Launch x431 Pro TT. Both have been very good. The TOPDON has a larger screen and a kickstand. :)
@@JimmyMakingitwork thank you sir ! You are a inspiration for me !
Nice to see good flat rate work
Thanks 👍
Good morning jimmy baby have awesome week buddy

Thanks Randy. Several have found an issue with the process, but they always do, lol.

Exactly, I always prefer OEM plugs if available. Wish I could get everyone on board. :)
@@mlieser1230 agreed. Denso in Toyotas.

Very true, good maintenance reduces many of these issues.
I like the responsibility of the S10 AC owner. Most people doing their own ac work would just let the freon out in the atmosphere
Agree 100%!

So close!
Should of busted out the gtc505 ignition analyzer out with all them misfire codes in one day…
Yeah it is a handy tool. I usually only get it out when it’s difficult to swap coils.
