when will you do a session with culprate? also super stocked to listen to the new album, Ive only recently discovered Culprate and was super impressed with his album deliverance. I would love to hear some stories on how he did that album.
Dude the room and how the low end especially is balanced is HUGE. Been noticing this a lot lately with what used to be our best venue here in Boise. I think a while back they hired someone new to mix sound for the house and it has been so bad lately. I'm gonna prove my theory soon tho, Zeds Dead is coming through and I suspect they will have their own man on the front house board. We will see!

So.....MrBill speaks about VDH plugins, which is Robbert van der Helm and they are on github to be compiled. But there is an autocompilator in case someone needs it. But On this Spectral Compressor I find here I cannot see the "tilt" function Au5 speaks about. It is present on a commercial plugin called MCompressor by Techivation. So....who guess?
the 0.0 vs -0.1dB talk is interesting. Mastering engineers would probably say you need the extra tiny headroom because binary is not going to be 100% accurate
Can someone explain the technique at 33:25? I kind of get it but I need a clear understanding
Create a Pre-Master track where you route everything except the kick and the snare, put the sidechain on it either before or after a limiter/clipper, then send the drums directly to the Master without any effects on it.
Ive tried clipping pads before.... I also tried peeing on an electric fence that week as well....
