You can reset the window to stay up. Super simple to do, look it up on RUclips. Great video of a sweet ride. I own a 2012 black GL 550. Solid tank and by far my favorite vehicle I've owned.

Very nice looking car. I had a 2009 but my big issue is the electronics in the back that control almost everything. My daughter accidently tipped over a 5 gallon water jug. Maybe spilled half of it. Next thing I know my ac is not blowing all internal lights flickering etc intermitently. I trade it in before it became more obvious and permanent lol.
Found this video as a comparison to a 2014 GL 450(x166) we just acquired. Picked it up from a person who was getting 5K from carvana, Sold it to us instead. Needs brake pads and just put on a set of TOYO Celsius II 275/55R19. Sweet ride, with many of the things you said the 450 did not have, including yes- paddle shifters, six disc changer, Bluetooth works wonderfully. It’s loaded, with cooling and heated cup holders. A couple of little scratches on the front right bumper. Not bad at all for the price knowing that this vehicle sells for 9550 in “rough shape”. Only 111,000 miles. We’ll see how it goes.
@@hwystr1550 Nice, nothing beats a German truck haha. The x164 450 gls did have the paddle shifters too I was wrong. Be curious to see how your ownership of the x166 goes I would like a 550 or 63 😏

The problem is that the 550 are unreliable. The timing chains have issues too
The early 5.5L, did not after like 2008
