The Stand Easy position for the Officer with the sword looks so cool.

Was this in recognition of her becoming a Commander? Who of course as it later turned out, was relieved from command of her ship for allegedly having a sexual relationship with a married officer who reported to her, whilst they were on tour. This was widely reported in the public news domain.

@@StuartMorris7 Happy now? And if not perhaps you should remove in your title the reference to Cdr. Sarah West. To become the first ever female officer to be given command of her own ship, she hardly covered herself in glory during her command did she.

This is is a straight record of an event in 2013, not about any subsequent happenings.

@@StuartMorris7 Well it is an important reference as I have her on record saying how she hoped she would be an inspiration to other women, as a role model. Case closed.

Jonny Owens The RIF RAF?! You must be having a laugh! The ‘Senior Service’ will never allow the junior service to do such things.

I agree. I was a seaman, not a soldier. If I wanted to march around carrying firearms I would have enlisted in the Army.
