I could watch this guy none stop for a full hour. I do agree, no one absolutely no one can match the performance of these guys. They are indeed a wonderful sight to behold.

This is such a powerful and moving video. I think the Royal Marines band is second to none. Brings tears to my eyes when I hear the songs and watch the march.
The Royal Marines Bands are the showpieces of the Royal Navy, and they are part of it. They show us that the Senior Service is second to none. Wonderful performers, and they always look so good on the march. The traditional wearing of the side drums , that is, on the side, make those that wear them around their neck look a bit wimpy. Best service bands ever.
Thanks for posting. I love military band music, especially marches. I knew the Royal Marines Band was good but it's the first time I've seen them perform for quite some time. I was blown away.
I'm no "muso," but the thing I like the best about the Royal Marine Band is their willingness to try new material. I never would have imagined that "Sailing" would work for a precision band. Not only have they made it work, but it takes on more meaning and they really make it shine. Even more so with "Invincible" performed here. I would have thought an orchestra would be needed. The RM Band was simply masterful. Congratulations and all respect to Lt Col Nick Grace, OBE and all the lads.
Hugo DBPHuguenot I agree there is something about people who have actually gone to the front line and fought for there country that changes the meaning and you can just feel it , Hard to explain but pretty fucking EPIC :D

SpeedyNeutrino172 Nice try but i'm afraid not. American military music has nothing on the Band of Her Majesty's Royal Marines. They are just top notch and by far the best. Britain has a very rich tradition when it comes to military music.

During the days of battleships, the bandsmen were in the bowels of the ship, locked in, yes, locked in, at transmitting stations. If the ship was sunk, they were goners.
@@heywoodjerbloume In the book "A Life On The Ocean Wave" by John Trendell. It tells of the positions in the ship that the Bandsmen went to. A very interesting book, if you love the Royal Marines Bands. On page 55 it tells of the bandsmen in the transmitting room, under control of the Gunnery Officer, and they were resposible for the accuracy of the ships guns, with instruments under a glass topped table. And page 42, 43, tells of a bandsman in the First World War being locked in the voice pipe room, unable to get out if anything happened. After stand down, he was forgotten and remained locked in. While nothing is mentioned about the gun turrets, i guess it is possible that if needed, they could be assigned a position in an ememrgency. Get the book Craven, you will enjoy it.
