aye of course that'd pop up in my youtube recommendations Thanks for covering the simulator! I agree Big's Fishing is probably the best one, Knuckles' Treasure Hunt is the most mechanically complex out of all of those but it's infuriating to play. If you want MORE Sonic McDonald's you should probably look forward to this year's SAGE expo on September 1st. 🙌🍟 (I technically have a trailer of it but I'm pretty sure pasting a YT link in a comment is going to get me annihilated by the googlebots)
For me, Peter is one of the strangest RUclipsrs i've ever watched, not because of the topics he makes videos about, but because of the pacing of his videos and his style of jokes. And as someone who's been watching since the dawn of the "RUclips In" series, I think that it really makes him stand out overall.
I am thinking of building a raspberry pi 4 little pc with the mc’ds shell and port all the games (and some of my own custom mcdonalds games that i built in scratch)
I swear that these Sonic Lcd games from McDonald's are the most nostalgic thing from my childhood While I don't remember the first batch of them all that well I do however remember the second batch of them And the fact that when they where released At the time they promoting Sonic Hero's witch is in my opinion one of the greatest Sonic games of all time Out of all the lcd games that where made in the set the one that I remember the most was the knuckles treasure hunting one The reason as to why I remember that one in particular so fondly is because I actually managed to come across it at a rummage sale unfortunately though I no longer have it witch is unfortunate because I absolutely loved it and the memory of it will forever live in my mind
I had a decent amount of these as a little kid. I didn’t have much for a portable handheld and these were my only source of entertainment. I vividly remember playing the Tails Sky Patrol in a hospital waiting room. But then I eventually got a GameBoy Color and I genuinely forget what happened to them 😂
I actually had that Sonic Speedway one as a kid and played it fairly often when I was bored. I think my mom specifically asked for a toy at McDonalds separately even though we didn't get a Happy Meal, just so I had something to do on a long car ride.
Nintendo in 1980: "Let's make simple, easy to understand yet challenging and addictive games that play to the strengths of this very limited technology." Every other company making LCD games: "Let's make something so basic it can hardly be considered a game or something so convoluted you need to memorize an entire manual to have any idea what's going on!"
I had the Sonic racing game and the Amy with Rouge tennis ones. Loved them so much. My cousin gave me the tennis one because he didn't want to play the girl characters. Lol
I used to have some of these! So nostalgic... Anyone else remember the Crash and Spyro LCD games? I had the Crash Waterski one, and the Green Spyro one. I think they were promoting the Crash & Spyro GBA games. They don't seem to be as well-documented as these Sonic ones, either. Good times!
Dude, you unlocked memories from me I didn't know where there. I had every game except the cream one but I lost them over the time. My god these designs are popping up in front of my inner eye. They are engrained in my child brain. What did you do to me? I remember my abuse now
This video had taught me that there is no true rock bottom; that there is ALWAYS a crevice that extends below the perceived absolute lowest point imaginable.
I have the one that is on the thumbnail it is a cool skateboard game and as a kid i could never beat it but recently i visted my mother and found it STILL WORKING so i beat it :D its so epic. Also have some from crash bandicoot, gummy bear and crazy frog from mc donalds.
I had the sonic skateboard, the rouge and amy tennis, knuckles baseball, and the cream flower catching back in 2006. One time, during our ride home from school, I was playing the sonic skateboard and my uncle was kinda alarmed cause he thought the aircon control panel was malfunctioning cause the sound of the game buttons had the same sounds as the car's button.
its impressive how youre so consistent with your style of videos, yet theyre very different each time and feel fresh. thanks for making such great videos, also i unironically love sonic heros
I actually had the silver one (shown at 6:40). Except it wasn't silver and it was a game of hockey where you had to shoot the pucks as shadow and there was a E-123 Omega as the goalie. E-123 Omega moved side to side and put there hands up to stop you. You had to move side to side shoot the puck to go past them. Eventually they added more E-123 Omega's to stop you and you had to time it so the puck would go through them when there hands were down
Dude! The 2003 sonic dx promo ones! I completely forgot those things existed until now. Thanks for bringing back some memories... The actual games were mid, but they were pretty rad for a fast food toy. It was mostly the "shell" design that caught my attention at the time. The shadow one was my favorite.
I had a sonic game from McDonalds back in ‘05. It was tails ducking airplanes? Or ducking the airplanes as they shot at him? It was orange and also had a closing cover
Randomly remembered you just now and could only remember you as peter so ic. Nice to see tour still uploading. Used to be a big fan when i was in elementary school, now im almost into highschool
I had almost all of these apart from the first 03 sonic number and the shadow one I rememeber reaaaally wanted it, I also remember losing the tails one in nursery, man what a blast of nostalgia jajaja
Okay, so it must be a fever dream, I came here because I remembered a LCD sonic game from either Wendy's or McDonald's, where the goal was to get all the chaos emeralds, but there is a bung of doors, and you must find keys, and avoid enemies.
I had a bunch of those back in the day. Sadly we missed out on the Sonic Boarding and the Amy/Rouge Xtreme Volleyball because of a shipment crashing before it got to our area
when i was little i was gaven the cream flower catch (the yellow one on the video) from my brother because back then when the campaign was released i didnt exist yet so when i was around 4 or 5 my brother gave it to me and i was so happy cuz even since i was a kid ive loved sonic and also cuz when i was younger cream was one of my favorite characters 😭
I had one of these (and a spyro one) and I distinctly remember only playing them when I was grounded and had no access to literally any other electronics lmfao
I played Sonic Action Game, Shadow Grinder and Creamflower Catch. Shadow Grinder the longest. For some reason, I had fun playing it. But I liked many lcd games. Especially, popular in Poland, a collection of games in one device, called Brick Game.

obviously I have no idea what goes through the planning. but its all got an unscripted vibe, and the sarcastic nature helps lol
Not gonna lie,i kinda want this and other Sonic LCD games be recreated in some kind of Game & Watch Gallery esque fangame

I'm trying to do that with the Spyro and Crash ones, but the one I have is kaput.

I remeber having those as a kids,we used to trade for them in school back in the day, good times.
We had that tales football one when i grew up and i cherished it
You unearthed several childhood memories of young me, trying to collect all of these games. Ahhh the nostalgia!
I remember the Sonic Action Game and the Shadow and Omega hockey one.
They also made a bunch of Spyro and Crash ones.
I am obsessed with these. I LOVED them as a kid and I still have some displayed on my game shelf 😂
man, I thought I only played like one of these as a kid but I remember nearly every one of these.
Tails and Knuckles are apparently soccer athletes, it's canon

1:55 You left out one important detail about Knuckles' twin brothers and that's the fact that one's a beatnik and the other's a rastafarian
I remember 5 year old me owning the Shadow the Hedgehog grinder one.
Peter kinda looks like Chris Pratt if Chris Pratt was a dropout that played 20 year old mcdonald's sonic toys.
4:48 nah, I think that's a reference to Sonic 2 XL
There was an ad for some of these in some place or something that looked really weird 😭 (rouge looked like a mouse or rat or something)
