- SEGA had their main Sonic the Hedgehog characters made into McDonald's Happy Meal toys in 1993 for the release of the 3rd Sonic game that would later combine with Sonic & Knuckles to complete. Let's look at all FIVE Sonic the Hedgehog 3 toys, including the under age 3 special ask toy that most don't know about. Tails and "Egg Man" Robotnik are here also. In Europe, Tails' toy was different. It was mounted atop a flying saucer, had a ripcord that went through it, and his Tails were molded in 3D.
Very interesting, the tails do look better there. May have to hunt for one of those also as I search for Eggman.

These were my go to Sonic toys as a kid. I remember the ball one having Tails on it.
There may have been other ball toys in stores with other characters. This ball was for the 3 and under and you had to ask for it special, not many people asked for the younger kid toy. Because if they could talk, they saw and wanted the real toys of the time!
I would have played with them all like crazy too but am just now getting them.
This is why I started my YT. Because I got these toys and wanted to show them off like you did. Thank you for putting Sonic Ball in my life.

When Sonic Adventure was being done they had actually intended Jaleen White to voice Sonic how it didn't happen is a mystery because he voice Sonic in Sonic Underground a year later.
I really love him as the voice of Sonic. I'm also shocked one of the streaming services haven't offered to do a Steve Urkel MOVIE with him. It would be cool to see him in one of the Sonic movies also.
Interesting indeed there's a Japanese version of Robotnik. The yellow ball looks like Sonic's exercise ball in preparation for his speed competition.
I'm going to keep an eye out for one since it looks more like the game.

All of them look really fun to play with
Some nice and simple functions, I wanted them because they are "vintage" of the time the original games came out but they are a fun group to play around with also.
I had these toys growing up.. I entered a raffle and won a SEGA sonic video game and became a sonic nerd for lyfe... chili dogs here I come!

The sonic launcher is a complete win
I would have been pretty satisfied with it as a figure back then, despite the orange base.
If I had these toys back then, I would have spent time launching the Sonic toy into the Robotnik toy and pretending it was a boss battle.

Yeah Tails needed to be a molded shape even if he was a little flat, not just a sticker.
The reason for it being 2 separate games was due to time they hadn't figured the lock on technology yet also the day I beat Sonic 3 was the same day Sonic and Knuckles came out I was happy because I could play Knuckles (my favorite character main because he's red) but infuriated because I had just beat Sonic 3 my father use to carried a photo of me when I was age 9 of a school picture with a Sonic shirt he bought me.
