Started on July, transferred about 50% of my degree from sophia and sdc. So far, I'm already at 60% of my program, though and the month its not over yet!
@@ROLOGamingOfficial that’s fantastic! Which program are you in?
How long it take you?
To finish with Sofia learning
@@Knowledgeefficient The software engineering program.
@@julianherrera962 In sophia I did finished 15 classes (about 45 credits) in about than 3 months and halfr.
I’m starting WGU in August.. your advice is awesome! It’s been a while since I’ve been in school, and my first time doing WGU.
Good luck! You got this!
I wish I knew these before starting at WGU. You the man!
Thanks! Glad it was helpful!
I anticipate starting WGU in September. I'm a bit nervous about it. Thanks for this useful knowledge video.
You got this! What program?
I'm also starting in September. Working towards my BA in Education.
@@crystalvieira1344 that is amazing! My sister did that program and now works as a professor at a community college
This was incredibly helpful! I had no idea that there was a referral program. Does family/friends have to enroll at WGU in order to get paid?
Nope! All they have to do is click the link and read about WGU and you get paid! I believe back when I did it I got around $20 per person, and ended up getting about $240 of in store credit 😀
Thank you!
Great advice! Though I’m a bit nervous to return back to school, let alone an “online” university college model. This is still better than going onsite on campus and way more affordable in terms of tuition/gas/wear and tear(car)/time. My question is are these mentors really strict or push you to complete your college work? I know there’s no time limit but you have to keep up with class. I’d like to have a bachelors it’s something I always felt left out in my mind. Formal degrees nowadays are not exactly necessary to get good jobs but it’s something I like to have to get passed the HR phase.
@@corpuzone this university is perfect to “check the box” for holding a degree. Because of WGU I was able to get a promotion at work. The mentors are not strict necessarily, they just check up on you weekly to make sure you’re doing well. Also, in case you don’t like your mentor you can always request a new one.
@@Knowledgeefficient TY! 🙏
Great thanks! How does it work for employment experience?
Great video!
Did you also schedule meetings with instructors regularly? It seems like instructors would be helpful to speak with since they are knowledgeable in the subject matter vs. Mentors who are more knowledgeable about the WGU process, is that correct?
@@ApartmentC6 I met with an instructor once, and it was when I didn’t pass an OA exam. Him and I reviewed key concepts and I was given additional assignments to complete before attempting the OA exam a second time. It was very beneficial, however I felt for all my other classes it was unnecessary to meet with instructors since I grasped the content pretty well. It was very motivating for my mentor to call me every week to check in on me.
@@Knowledgeefficient thank you, it is taking me some time to get used to the idea of never interfacing with professors. I might be the one person who calls instructors just to talk things out.
How do you determine which one is hard vs easy?
@@thesouthernmonarch most people consider classes that require PAs to be easier than OAs. On social media you can also read about other people’s experiences with your WGU program and see which classes will take more time than others.
