I'm going to break tradition and comment on RUclips. This is the best Porsche short film I've seen. There is no other marque that brings people together; that ignites passion for engineering excellence and dynamics; and that lights up the faces of young and old alike in the same way. This is truly the zenith of automotive driving development. As a 3rd Generation German auto enthusiast and engineer, it's great to see the passion continue into the newer cars that undoubtedly are robbing some of the 6 senses from the driving experience. (yes I am slightly partial to older cars!) I've passed this onto my father who I think trained Grant in the early days at Hamiltons. Good to see Klaus and Alan as well. As for me - I'll have a sweet shifting aircooled G50 of any sort, everything else is superfluous. 'A product that is coherent in form requires no embellishment.'
As a 911 owner, which took me a while to find just the right one, I love this. Every owner I’ve met is indeed an enthusiast. Such a strong brand loyalty; I’ve never met a driver who didn’t love their car or know all the intricacies of it. Hard to meet someone who just had money to blow and doesn’t understand their car. Thank God. Those people can find another brand 😅

Truly amazing insight into the world of Porsche. The best hour I've spent watching a well put together bundle of fun with some great characters. I'm looking at my first Porsche, 911 997.1 4S, wish me luck.
Thanks for this awesome video. Great to see a film capturing people enjoying all that it means to own and drive Porsche automobiles. Engineering excellence, history, tradition, passion, racing....you can go on and on. Few other marques offer so much.
Excellent documentary. Great stories, charming characters, perfect cinematography, settings, editing and audio - wow. A nice blend of down to earth technical talk with style & heart. I now like 968's. This should get a media award. Thank you.
Wow ... there are so many things to love about this video/film, that I'm not sure where to start. Beautifully filmed, and edited - about a 'subject matter' that (in my mind at least) is second to none. I cant believe its taken You Tube 2 years to recommend to me that i watch this vid - but I'm glad that it finally did, (on the same day I had just returned from a PCV Club Run!) Serendipity ....?
Not a 911 owner, I own a 944 which I've wanted for years. I absolutely love it, the smells inside, the feeling I get driving it... it's an 88' so it's almost 30 yrs old. That being said, it still gets the senses going and feels like new. 82k miles and going strong. Thank you Porsche.
I'm in the market now for a Merc 560SEC, another excellent German car. If you don't know that car check it out here on the tube. 5.6lt V8 300hp and it's a beaut. Stay classy RHH911
VERY VERY touching I am in love with Porsche! And he said that's a Porsche he does not like Porsches however I feel like I am connected to it somehow like it runs in my blood every time I get behind the wheel of my first car which I just got recently a 86' 944 which I am gonna make it to a street legal track car bride seats, maybe a newer Porsche engine, tint the Windows, roll cage, better Porsche brakes, some Porsche rims that don't look crappy, new badge maybe, 944 badge, repaint it white, get a new decal for the back, new under spoiler, fenders, doors, new steering wheel etc.

My dad told my Mum he was going to buy a Volkswagen (Beetle) while she was pregnant with me, he came back to the 1 bedroom unit they were renting in a 356 B, 2 weeks latter I was transported home from Hospital in that same car. My Dads a champ and my Mum was considerate in his love of beautiful cars.

Fantastic movie, a credit to everyone at Autohaus Hamilton, love the passion, love the honesty, you certainly make me feel like you are a trusted Porsche business!
How i got my Porsche; A rich friend of mine, nearing retirement age, envied myself seeing me having fun in my Z3. He asked me to get him one also. I (a simple poor technician) told him, (he was a doctor); ''No Adam, rich people like you buy Porches. I'll find you one" Which I did. When I send him the pictures, he was shocked, afraid of being hijacked etc. I was very disappointed, so I bought it myself. God has a sense of humor. Never give up on your dream. It will materialize. After many years I never get over it. An awesome privilege indeed. Life is too short not to own a Porsche.
Thank you for making a great film/documentary. You have wonderfully captured the passion and love Porsche owners have for their cars and the excitement of racing them. Your blood, sweat, and tears building your business and "living the Porsche" is very admirable. I have a small collection going (997 4S, 987 CS, 986 3.4, 955 S) If I lived in Sydney you would be my go to Porsche shop for certain!! Wishing you much continued success pursuing the dream ;^)

proud owner of 03 911 Turbo. I wanted the car but I could only dream about it. when I picked up a poster from 2000 auto show in Chicago. I bought mine more than 2 years ago. very solid car. love it. I hope to keep it forever. I wanna drive it everyday.
Absolutely my favorite watched it 10 times at least love my Porsches love my triple black 86 944 and 99, 911, 996 triple black Cab i’m not rich, but I’m not poor two great options. Yes they will make you feel alive before you hit that rev limiter😜
I'm only 20 mins. into this film yet I can already see this is the type of driving I love the most. I once spent about 15 hours driving through the night in S. Korea on roads like this, no idea where I was and the passengers not appreciating it one bit, yet it was one of the most enjoyable nights of my life. How does one get into this type of racing, in North America, for example? Or, for that matter, in Oz, where I've also spent some time? One question in particular: suspension height. I imagine it's quite different from what you'd have in typical road racing. Thanks for the film, which I'll now continue to enjoy. Cheers!
This is a true gem of a production. I aspire to create videos like this someday. Thanks for the inspiration - through the filmmaking as much as from the cars!
Really enjoyed this documentary, really pro level photography, music, and a wide range of owners/interviewees. I was never a car guy, until my buddy bought a cayenne. Don't get me wrong, I don't like SUV's at all, but something about his cayenne (and he later got the cayenne turbo) just set it apart from any cars I've ever been in. I had to go try a Cayman S for myself, two months after I got my driving license, and I was blown away. The sound, the feeling of the car, just absolutely different than anything else. I could barely control it, you have to really be careful with your inputs, especially when you don't have much experience. I've long looked at other vehicles too, Audi S5, Volvo S60, BMW 3/5 series, but something just keeps telling me there's just no substitute. I will buy a Cayman S/911 one day, I could buy one now, but financially speaking it might not be the smartest decision at my age. Thanks for being an inspiration in owning a Porsche guys.
Ricard... If you're a "Driver" (versus a Commuter), it will undoubtedly be the best purchase you'll ever make! Good Luck with your dream! -Kosta454- (Owner of a '74 911 Widebody (964 Turbo Tribute))
I got mine at 55 years old. The first year I drove it to the limits of the gauges. The speedo pegged. Passed 6 State Troopers. One smiled and waved, One raised his arms as if to ask why I was going so slow. Point being the car is in its own class. So you should be as well.
Two thoughts for you. Everyone is saving for a Porsche. Me too and I own one. Second, don’t wait. Just do it. Wait to justify the purchase and you’ll miss out on the enjoyment. These aren’t rational things. Just do it.
This is a gem of a movie, so very well made. The interviews at the begining are great. I also love the music, very good sound track. Congrats to all those involved !!
@29:47 The gentlemen talks about how the auto industry is "full of people who are miserable", I couldn't agree more. It seems the true techs and mechanics who really love what they do are getting harder to find by the day. I've worked in garages and as a parts salesmen. The common denominator that ruined it for me is peoples attitudes. I tried, I tried for years to put on a smile and while I could sell anything to everyone, at the end of the day it's either people had unexpected expenses for the car they didn't understand the costs of maintaining or they think that just because their is competition they can walk all over you and expect you to take it. I've quit working with the public in this regard because of this, which is a real loss to them as I know auto parts inside and out. I'm the kind of guy that will go the extra mile and really look at parts as to how and why they are designed, what is the history of the part etc. My current build is a 76' 924 and I have systematically went through almost the complete car and rebuilt it from the ground up. Because of the NLA list of many of the parts for this car, I was able to rebuild it from numerous parts from a half a dozen cars. Love what this movie is about and I hope Autohaus is here for a long time to come!
+Tom McBride In German the word "job" translates to "Beruf" which means "calling". No wonder that people who are just doing their jobs to earn money are miserable.
@@jaikee9477 I couldn't agree more about the statement you made there. I am American and there is a point where if you don't have a passion for it, then it's just a miserable job. For me, though it's an addiction. Porsche is in my blood and will never leave. The 911 air cooled is in my book the best invention in the world. They are a European hot rod. They are what true bliss is all summed up in lightweight metal and glass. There is nothing like getting my 68 911s and cracking the throttle on a quiet spring morning. It's a drug and it's a lifestyle.
This documentary is beautiful and 100% on target. Unfortunately, I will never own one due to the cost, but still love them as their beauty is timeless. My favorite are the 930/911 Turbos of the 1980's. Those were raw Porsches here in the states. I imagine it was like owning an uncontrolled, unrefined animal that had way too much testosterone and was meant to run wild. The car screamed and yelled at you when driven, you kicked it back, and then the turbo lag........gave you a kick in the ass along with the heat (anger) from the rear as retaliation, while shaking you around in the cockpit causing you to use two hands on the wheel. The car was driving you as much, if not more, than you were driving the car. A real head turner even today in the states....the sound, look, and it's own audacity makes everyone pay attention to it's presence. Please Porsche, bring back turbo lag, simplicity, and the raw crudeness of that era .....it's infectious😉🙏🤸♂️
Thanks for posting a great video. Enjoy my little Boxster to bits although at 6' tall I'm at it's limit. I owe a 930 body. Will forever dream to to drive her, but at my age, most likely/ hopefully one of my son's will live my dream.
The tipping point of driving a classic 911 porsche begins with an unbridled desire for a degree of self actualisation sparked by any one of numerous triggers. The fancy of a drive is tickled by one's dreams of self super car status being realised. One achieves this through a kaleidoscopic imagination and partial satiation of sitting in one and experientially enjoying the joy of the many quirks smattered with exhilaration and deft hands on feeling. From first sight followed by the solid grip, unlocking clicking handle to your gentle sliding entry on the leather seats which snugly hug your body. The moment you feel the taught steering, the car begs you to insert the key. As you slide in the key and turn the key the motor growls into a roar that spikes your adrenaline and takes your breath away... more to follow

Great film!
Saving money for a 911,watching this doc makes me want it even more, damit.
Ricard... If you're a "Driver" (versus a Commuter), it will undoubtedly be the best purchase you'll ever make! Good Luck with your dream!

I got mine at 55 years old. The first year I drove it to the limits of the gauges. The speedo pegged. Passed 6 State Troopers. One smiled and waved, One raised his arms as if to ask why I was going so slow. Point being the car is in its own class. So you should be as well.
I know exactly how you feel I'm in physical pain I want one so bad and I will drive the wheels off it no investment / show cars for me
Two thoughts for you.
Kudos...very well done!!
Fantastic effort on the video guys. This really inspires me to own one of my own someday.Great soundtrack at 4.20 as well.
cracking vid enjoyed it so much
Awesome documentary
Great film.
+Jan Aike I'd love to work at Autohaus, seems they really do have a passion for what they are doing.
Wow. This is just great.
Absolutely spectacular, but a shame that it was only uploaded in 720p.
Very awesome!
Solid effort. Very well done.
Great job guys!
it was a privelage to watch, great video. Good luck in the future with the buisness and passion :)
Great great film…

Just wondering if Magnus Walker was ever contacted to show his Porsches? He has quite a collection himself.
By chance someone knows the song in 12:47?
