I'm so happy to see Tana conceptualizing atomic units within the software as nodes. I was originally sold on Roam research because of their notion of "blocks", along with the backlinking.
Thanks for this induction, I was looking for something like this in order to understand more clearly the potential of this application, I love how it can be used and applied to our life in general !!!
That's amazing! Found your channel and got sold to Tana, even though I'm new to outline apps and a longtime Notion user. Quick question - When should one create a concept/reference with `@` sign as opposite to sticking a #Supertag at it. In your exemple you show @Amazon concept/entity/reference, but seems that would also work with #Amazon too. Tnx!
Your videos are amazing, thanks for sharing them. I just subscribed to the channel. I just didn't quite grasp the advantage of backlinks. You cite the example of Amazon and Toyota in different documents, and how you would need to remember the connections in order to make them. Well, isn't it exactly like that inside Tana too? Wouldn't you need to remember or know about the connections to arbitrarily make them in Tana?
I think columns was removed, I don't have that either anymore. For tabs you have to go to the menu behind the gear icon in the upper right > Tana Labs > Tabs view :)
Team, I’m diving in and pushing through this learning curve. Enjoy the journey!

Yes, it is an incredibly powerful abstraction.
Fantastically clear explanations, particularly as regards the ability to record data about the nodes - thanks!
Thank you! :)
Again, fantastic. Thank you for these!
The elephant in the room is Roam. Please tell us how Tana is better or worse than Roam in your videos. Thanks.
Video on Roam is coming soon :)
Any particular features you want to compared? Any usecase I should highlight in the comparison?

This is so exciting! This is a little bit reminiscent of Remnote. In Remnote everything is a Rem.
I was also reminded of Remnote!
I can’t wait to get my hands on this !

At 1:35, under the Calendar node, why did they skip the child 'Month'?
Why don't I have a choice of Columns and Tabs? Were they removed from the new version?
I think columns was removed, I don't have that either anymore.

3:32 - dotted outline node is a reference node
What screen capture and presentation application are you using for your tutorials?
I'm using OBS to record my screen and camera, plus two apps to highlight my cursor and my keystrokes.
remnote where everything is a rem... :D
Okay. So you tell us a bit about Tana. Looks a lot like Roam! Why don't you tell us how Tana is better than Roam?
BS. Obsidian is the best
