As an FS Developer who loves PKMs and gathering information for use, I actually appreciate that you went into a lot of detail very speedily. I prefer this type of learning, rather than other tutorials where a topic will be longwinded and dragged on for so long unnecessarily. This is very functional. Thank you, Marc.
*grabs coffee after 50 tips* because I'm going to do whatever Marc tells me to do at this point. What an insane video. I know kung fu. Thank you for this.
Wow, man! WOOOOW. It feels like I found an unbelievably powerful magic wand and you came like "Hey, kid... Do you know how to use it? Come here, lemme show you". Thank you so much!!!
Wow... Just solid content for so long, thanks very much for making this. I previously trialed Tana a while before and thought it was too confusing/complex, but am now thinking of revisiting it!.
Thank you! I’ve noticed its easy for folks to focus most on the complex elements (since that’s what most exciting for someone who has used a lot of similar apps and takes the basics for granted) It’s an incredible app just out of the box!
Thank you for creating this video! It's very well-made and has been extremely helpful in my journey to learn Tana. I am looking forward to more of your updates and have already subscribed your channel and liked this video!
Epic! I'm Looking to build my Second Brain framework and found this video through suggested vids on your "100 Roam tips" (best program walk through I've ever seen! Amazing work, thank you!) I'm curious about your switch from Roam to Tana - what prompted it, whats the benefit, was it easy to migrate your database of info from one to the other? I don't want to spend half my life migrating my second brain from platform to platform in search of the "perfect fit". Plus, storing my life behind a paid subscription is intimidating!
It’s pretty easy to migrate from Roam - just migrate it to a new workspace and you can choose what you want to bring into your primary workspace when you find yourself referencing it organically Better things about Tana: - supertags exist and allow you to capture things anywhere - queries vs. search nodes (latter is 100% better and a core feature) - node views exist and allow Notion level visual clarity, variety, and organization - commands and command buttons and fields being native features and highly useful - embedding and node refs mean that the promise of info reusability is much more practical - development not being semi abandoned and team and company trajectory much brighter and less mercurial and more customer friendly - smartest people and community have navigated there so more good ideas get surfaced (ucg, creators, slack) - myriad quality of life things (banners, node descriptions, avatars, super tag templates and defaults, super tag parent / inheritance, daily node templates and weekly and monthly nodes, native chat in group graphs, transcription and AI integration that’s non trivial in utility and can replace other AI apps entirely)
How would you even know that all exists and how to use it???... I don't see how that's possible even if you're just sitting there for days clicking around through trial and error.
@@MarcKoenig yeah but subscription based companies are really getting annoying. Everyone is doing that sooooo unjustifiably so. There are soooo few companies that can justify it with ongoing updates and features. But everyone thinks they are clever business people by adding subscription to every freaking thing. It’s astonishing!!! Like a copy paste app or a clipboard history app or screenshot app having subscription is an abomination. Ironically I think a web browser has more justification to charge a subscription since they constantly protecting and updating security protocols. But they don’t charge because we are the product. I’d rather pay for a browser at that point.

The email list / waitlist signup page isn't working. It accepts inputs, but then goes to a blank gray box. Great video, BTW.

I was not prepared for how fantastic the video is. Wow.
Also not prepared for the Tip64 little reference!
Nice catch! And thank you ;)

Hi Marc, not working with/for Tiago anymore? Great video. Greetz
Tiago and I parted last August, been solo as a RUclips agency and working on this new phase of Tana content! Thank you
Very good and in-depth video, but I would have really liked if you had created a video for Windows, too
Good idea
mind blowing, superb. where I can find the Tana Pro course ?
Thank you! Releasing in a couple months: appnotes.pro scroll to the bottom to sign up and get notified 🙏
can I do the following in tana: create a page at a specific place according to a template from anywhere and post a reference wherever I am?
nice video
Cheers :)

i'm so sick of subscriptions!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! and if they want to do it in a subscription way then it HAS TO BE ALOT CHEAPER!!!!!!!!
I suspect they will roll out a cheaper tier subscription early next year. Also there’s a free tier already!
