I dig this plugin tried the demo. Izotope low end focus can give you that boost also on master.

May I ask why you wouldn't just put it straight on the bass channel? I'm more of a beatmaker then a engineer .. but I've been using it to mold my bass track

Only because I nearly always double up the bass part with a sine wave or other instrument to either add weight or clarity...also, the drum parts carry a lot of low end information too....
