They may not be the quickest to act, but when Clan Ghost Bear get going they are simply unstoppable. Facing these juggernauts is a terrifying prospect whether on the battlefield or in a game of American Football. This is a mix dedicated to them and it hits like a UAC20 to the dome, this is KODIAK!
Clan Ghost Bear have always been one of my favourite clans for the sense of cameraderie and fellowship they foster between their citizens, and I'm glad to be able to dedicate this mix to them. The mix itself is a 100 BPM selection of truly wonderful Cyberpunk-esque Synthwave, with a smattering of Darksynth for good measure.
Relax to the retro sounds and nostalgic beats of this Synthwave mix, created specifically for the enjoyment of Battletech and Mechwarrior fans. The retro '80s aesthetic of Battletech matches perfectly with this retro-inspired music.
These retro-futuristic sounds make the ideal background music to a Battletech or Alpha Strike game, or indeed ideal listening in a seedy backstreet bar on Canopus IV while you enjoy some well-deserved R&R.

@@KMCA779 nah, Smoke Jaguar doesn't really roll that way. Considering his feelings on the Bears (and the fact they largely reside in the Sphere), my money is on a Ghost Bear.

@timstinies9519 honestly just learning about them made me love them. My first MW game was MW4, so I delved deeply into the lore. I found the clans, and I just LOVED the clan mechs. Specifically the ones CGB made. Their rules, the way they live, they just resonate with me the most personally

my Kodiak in mech warrior online is painted in Goliath Scorpion delta galaxy colors.... and it looks like MOLTEN LAVA :D
Oh man that Kodiak skin sounds AMAZING! I had no idea the Goliath Scorpions used them too. They're one of my favourite clans, and will definitely get their own mix - probably with a psychedelic edge! 😁

As a kid, was introduced to Mechwarrior through the K'nex toys. First model was a Cauldron Born. Clan Ghost Bear ever since.

Just imagine exploring the ethos of each Clan through music. The pride and arrogance of the Jade Falcon. Smoke Jaguar ferocity and ruthlessness. Blood Spirit tenacity and spite.
It would be a monumental task-- but music can often express what the written word cannot.
My favorite ComGuards Unit is the 12th Division.

@@JasonSkye My roommate and I are doing the same. We uh... weren't quite prepared properly for the massive amount of oof that is the Free Rasalhague mission line... Bring assaults. Lots of them if possible.

Could do without the slower stuff personally but rest is pretty solid.
Clan mechs are easy mode. Back in mechwarrior 2 my favorite loadout was a masakari with an UAC20, I think 7 ERMed lasers (maybe 10?), larger engine and the rest of the weight went to DHS and armor. Set joystick primary fire to shoot, and on release cycle to next weapon in group, put all weapons in same group. Now you just spam the trigger and keep a sustained rain of ERMed laser fire with the occasional blat of an AC20 thrown in.
It was game breaking, literally game breaking lol
For TT though, I typically played IS with a romp in clanner tech now and then when my buddies wanted. I love their tech but the later MW franchise ruined the IP for me with the stupid restricted hardpoints (have MS to thank for that on MW4), and bullet sponge damage models. So TT is where it's at for me. The whole point was that battles were supposed to be FAST. Only time we had slow combat is when some asshole loaded up a madcat with nothing but unguided SRM racks to bump up head shot chances.....I might be that asshole :D :D
