Great review! The first portable version of the full Resident Evil 4 experience is exactly what fans of this game want, tank controls and all. And you build the case as to why you give the rating you gave. In the world of reviewing games on a ten point scale, you can't ask for more than that.
I've bought this 4 times, including the Wii version. And despite my SLIGHT disappointment on the lack of motion controls and $30 price point...I'm still going to go for the fifth time, and pay $30 for the Switch version. I mean RE4 on the go... I just HAVE to. Call it a novelty purchase if you want, but I just love this game.

Essential purchase...but a physical collectable copy would have been ever better.Still,it's Resident Evil 4 HD on the Switch and it's portable. They just announced that when resident evil 5 and 6 release on October 29th 2019 their will be a retail copy triple pack with resident evil 4 on the cartridge and download codes for 5 and 6 for 60 bucks
The lack of motion aiming is a big disappointment. Selling this game higher then the other versions is not a good choice. Without the added benefit of motion aiming, why bother paying more for this version? Is it so you can play RE4 portably? That's not a benefit of this version, that's an benefit of the switch. Though I'm getting mixed messages. I heard that much later capcom added motion aiming to the physical version only. Can anyone verify if RE4 on the switch does have motion aiming?
From what I've heard, Easy Mode was removed for all North American versions of the HD Remaster on consoles. The PAL/Japanese versions and PC version have it, but North America does not. Though I don't know if that's still true for the Switch PAL/Japanese versions as I've only played the NA version.

Just got this for ps5 & switch. Gonna be my first time playing. Hoping it's as fun as everyone has claimed since I was a kid

It’s similar but RE4 does not have the Strafing feature that 5 has.
