Back in the day, I thought 5 and 6 couldn’t compare to 4 for atmosphere and tension. But now, I can accept them on their own terms as more action oriented and still fun. Just being able to play them on the Switch gives them new life. Funny how the years can change your perspective.
I love RE6, play it on all systems. Still enjoy it most on PS3 since it has re net support. But switch was cool sadly it's totally dead online for the xtra modes. While ps3 still has plenty of people still on

To be honest, I like Resident Evil 6. The production for this game is insane, the game got crazy sequence and some epic moments here and there. Sure the game isn't like the other resident evil. But the way the story is going on, action is necessary. Also love the mix genre of horror, action, adventure, puzzel. Can't really complain for horror or action not being there.
Yes it is, controls are almost the same as re revelations 2. Maybe a little complicated in some aspects but once you get used to them they work pretty well
too this is a short explain what resident evil 6 is. most that you shoot very short on an enemy and his done( normal enemys, some mutations are tougher but made sence) is refreshing in resi 4 and5 gameplay and shootouts are longer and a headshot with a pistol did not kill a zombie is, it feels just better in 6 you feel like a hero its lot action. the remakes are some i could't play actually but i would like to. Heard re2 remake is an A+ game
I loved this game I loved the fact that it was a bunch of games into one because when I finished one campaign I would have another to play and this was the game that brought me into the series.the only complaint that I have with this game is that like you said the final boss for Leon was repetitive but that’s it.
I remember initially being pretty upset about having to stand still and shoot way back in the day when Resident Evil 4 came out on PS2. However, when I joined the military soon after and would go back to playing that game, I had new found respect for the shooting aspect of the game. Because if you are running while taking shots, you are only going to make those shots if luck is heavily in your favor. So it's actually realistic given the small amount of ammo you have to use in the game. Yes I can shoot while moving in real life, I'm trained to.....but if I have a choice, I will zero in on my target and throw lead with precision to neutralize a target most effectively.
If you can land a shot while moving you either really suck at walking or shooting 😂 the military never walks and shoots because you always have backup. No reason to when you got 3 guys covering. So the use bounding cover or leap frogging. You can absolutely fire while being mobile and hit any man size target closer than 25 feet. Which in resident evil is sniper range 🤣 most combat is at about 7 feet.
Playing it now after playing Resident Evil 5. It's an excellent game and runs beautifully on Switch Lite. I love how you can perform WWE style melee moves to finish off zombies. They're hilarious and incredibly fun. 😁
Worth the purchase the community is helpful. Take a few minutes to acclimate yourself to the controls. You'll be partying attacks and meleeing Zambies to death.
I... find myself missing this game. Haven’t played it since it was new on 360, and the quality of the graphics are... not dissimilar, which is surprising. Thanks for the informative video!
I still think its funny how RE8 isn’t talked down like 6. At least 6 has Zombies & 2 player, & so many characters, it also recalls old events from the series.
Might pick this up if it's on a sale like I did with Resi 0, 1 and the Revelations games. Played this on PC years ago and liked it quite a lot, especially Leon and Chris' campaigns.

for me resident evil 4 was not so good like everyone said. i played it on switch. for me resident evil 6 is really top, i like it on the switch because you can from beginning choose a campaign. for me its a really good resident evil. re 2 and 3 are legends, and sure i would like to play the remakes on switch, but re 6 shows a lot what for power the switch had. and for me its a very good port. i did download it for switch and still regret nothing. from all resident evil games who are available for switch re6 is just the best you become a lot for your money. its that resident evil with the most action. and i need to day the old ones are really good but i play them so much, and re 6 is simply you get much for ur money. cherry birkins campaign reminds me on nemesis , leons is more like the older games , and chris is much shooting and there is adas witch i don't even remember very good. fact its lot of play time, lot story, lot action and shootouts, and the graphic is like the original. i don't understand why so much sayd its the weakest resident evil.i play actually sherrys story and its lot action ok. this quiet parts are rare but there is leons who is not so much shooting. but you can play as several characters. and there is something too the story is really good and the cutscenes are in a really good quality. i forgot how good this is. Absolutely Awesome as This Game is incredible on the Nintendo Switch Lite, and I’m quite surprised just how much fun the game is too play as I passed on it year’s ago when it came out for 360 cause I couldn’t get past the initial part, and then because of all the hate, and ridicule the game received from a vast majority of gamers I thought well it’s probably not gonna be fun, and I never played as all I ever heard was how it’s the worst game of the series, and then it was on sale this week for Switch for $14.99, and My Woman let Me order it, and I’ve been playing about 4 hours so far into the first Leon campaign, and the game’s utterly fantastic to say the least ! I played Resident Evil 4 a few months back, and so far this is far better than that game was as the production value of 6 is off the charts, and it’s a blast too play handheld like all the other Resident Evil games on Switch Lite !
I have played 4 and 5 so I do think I’ll get 6 I have 4 on the switch but I see little reason to get 5. Might get revelation 2, but one seems better on my 3ds

Maybe you should have talked more on the frame rate. The demo's frame rate is really poor and that is the only one people are talking about. Even digital foundry. So there is no concrete source on if the frame rate is more stable or not. From what I could tell from playing the demo and looking at gamexplains vid, the final release runs a bit more stable. But not too much. But that's just from my eyes
Frame rate is very good imo.. On busy part where there are lot of explosions it can drop to 25 fps worst could be 20 fps but that's for some Qtes. Gladly Frame pacing is very good in this game so the motion blur kinda hides the fps drops pretty decently. It's just questionable that they didn't used dynamic resolution more aggresively to save up the performance.
Mercenaries on it's own is worth what most $60 games today aren't, I played hundreds of hours even if I had a high score kept playing for the fun of it, resident evil 6 campaign was good for what it was resident evil 4 still king, with rumors RE4 is been remade for ps5 I'm 50 50 on that if done justice, RE 6 I have no problem been remade but hope they don't for fks sake take out mercenaries like they did RE3, another thing why don't we have RE2 AND RE3 AMD RE7 ON SWITCH I'D BUY IT AGAIN JUST TO PLAY ON THE GO, if they don't it'll be waste opportunity.
Man, this game is a mixed bag. My biggest complaint would be the length. There's no reason a Resident Evil game or any third person shooter for that matter, should be 30 hours long. Some of those chapters just drag on, and on, and on. A little case of quantity over quality.

It's weird. No port is the best PC, xbone and ps4 run at 60 but xbone and ps4 don't have motion control aiming. PC also doesn't have the ability to skip QTEs at all with motion controls only being implemented through steam. But that feels off since it's mimicking a joustick mimicking a mouse. And no having th gyro mimick mouse doesn't work since th game freaks out and doesn't know if you're using a controller or mouse and keyboard.
More inventory space isn't an improvement, it was just the final step into the action genre, where this franchise doesn't belong imo. 6 was an abysmal Resident Evil title.

The mechanics are great but the qtes should go and the camera needs some polish. But after that, I think this game is great. It's clearly not the best re game but it's a good experience overall
I sadly have to buy a switch. Capcom was dumb enough to add 3 extra outfits per character.. but not allow them in campaign on any system but switch 🤣 how absolutely dumb can they be???? No patch ever. Not even on PC. Something that simple absolutely wrecks the game to me. Replayability goes up with every outfit. And entire run can be refreshing when your wearing a pirate outfit. O wait only in mercenaries??? Why would they put the effort in for bonus modes very few people even play.
Disappointed about the performance. One this that improve this and RE5 is a simple graphics toggle. Having prefer graphics and prefer frame rate Prefer graphics having higher resolution, and better graphics but a locked stable frame rate Prefer performnce having a lowere resolution and worse graphics but an unlocked frame rate The way both games are now, it this really bad middle ground. Where it has an unlocked frame rate but it runs at 1080p. Meaning the games would run in the 20s constantly
The story narrative and characters in RE6 were good, especially Piers'. It was alot better than RE7 in terms of storyline and character developments are concerned.

Another awesome ass thing you can do on 6 is fight when you want. Unlike 4 and awesome 5 you have to shoot the enemy and stun them to do an attack.

Please don't compare RE6 to FFVIII. They are disliked (by some) for completely different reasons, and FFVIII is a good game.
