Thanks for this lesson! I appreciate it very much. I've heard that box pattern shuffle groove referred to as "Uptown" when ascending and called "Downtown" when descending. These fills will be fun to add. Have a great weekend.
@TastyGuitarcom I've got a black made in Japan Tele that I'll never get rid of. Awesome tone and dynamics for days, and it has a slick maple neck. I have to name drop on this one, but It was given to me by one of my guitar hero's and friends on my birthday several years ago. Rock and Roll HOF and longtime PFunk lead guitar legend, Michael Kidd Funkadelic Hampton. Strange, but for some reason, it doesn't sound nearly as good in my hands, but it's definitely a prize possession and unique in my stable of guitars. Thanks as always for posting some of the best rhythm guitar lessons and content on RUclips...!
I suppose that for that strummed attack on one particular string one needs to apply a lot of left and right hand muting on the other strings to sound clean.
Yeah, I completely understand. My cruise ship days are behind me. But we still do The World private yacht gig, will be doing a 1 week gig this June when it comes to Thailand

Great lesson. Great channel
Thank you!
I think you just set my phone on fire. I would love a TrueFire course like this!!
Great idea for a course actually
Another tasty lesson, Maestro. Always fun to play a driving shuffle. That's a beautiful Tele with a great snappy tone.
Thanks Oldskool, yeah this tele has wicked tone, just wish it had the neck of my old black one

@@OriginalOldSkoolFunk ah, very cool, never get rid of that one!
Awesome. Can you do a lesson that moves directly from this to what to do over the four chord? Thanks!
Thanks for sharing those rhythm fills Rick ... cool stuff!

You shipping out again any time soon, Rick?
I had my time but the cruise industry's staff treatment doesn't thrill me.
Cool lesson. 😎
