- MORE PLACES IN SCOTLAND WE LOVE// Happy Friday, This is our last vlog from our trip to Scotland and we hope you enjoyed the series. On our way back to the Scottish Borders, we stopped at St. Conan's Kirk, a church from 1886 and rated as one of the most beautiful buildings in Scotland.
Then we went on to Stirling Castle, one of Scotland's grandest castles. At first we were a bit unsure whether it would be too touristy for us but it wasn't at all and we really loved it. The people who work there are so delightful and incredibly helpful. It was such a pleasure to talk to them.
As on our way up to the Highlands, we stayed another night at Crookston House in the Scottish Borders, the most wonderful and romantic Bed & Breakfast. We also couldn't help but film The Kelpies that you can see from the motorway. They are the world's largest equine sculptures and really worth seeing! See you again next week. Kirsten & Joerg xx

Hello Kirsten and Joerg thankyou so much for all your work in bringing us another lovely video. I'm starting to look forward so much to these videos every week and how you go to so much trouble to make sure that we enjoy them . They are more interesting than the stuff on the tv lately and I have seen it said that you two should have your own TV programme . However, if you did that I think it may be done to suit the TV station and they would want it done the way they say . When that happens it's completely unnatural ,very false . At the moment your lovely videos are so uncomplicated and natural and everyone seems to enjoy them. So please don't change ,they are a little bit of escapism away from the daily grind and we love them . Have a lovely weekend and I look forward to seeing you both on screen again soon . Isn 't it great, that we can travel everywhere online? I go for walks in Stockholm, row a boat in Sweden, discover cafes in South Korea and little streets in Tokyo, learn from a Dao master in China, watch a tame mountainlion in Russia and help feed Koalas in Australia. :-)
But first on my list for travelling in the real world is Scotland or Whales.
@@crowkraehenfrau2604 Yes, it is great! I have been to places all over planet Earth (online) that for the most part I would not have been able to go to. The UK, Iceland, Portugal, Italy, Greece, Nigeria, Ghana, Antarctica, Germany, Belgian, Australia, Japan, Taiwan, South Korea, The Philippines, Saudi Arabia, Mexico, Belize, Poland...to name a few. This is a good way to (actually) learn about other cultures. As an American and when I was growing up my primary and secondary schools would teach about world history. Today not so much if hardly any!
This pandemic is kinda like a double-edge sword in that we were all stuck at home and we had to find something to do without going mad!

I have the same surname as yourself and my grandfather was from scotland I was born in England but I said in another video that Scotland does stand out to us English in many ways ....ask where the best salmon is from we all know, ask where the queens favourite place is we all know, we all love your shortbread and your Whskey and your porridge you are more prominant in English culture that some probably don't realise and this is a compliment to your beautiful country.
Thank you for a lovely journey that you shared with us. I really appreciated that you wrote the names of the places you were visiting. I did a screen shot of each one and put iin a folder 📂 named Scotland so that hopefully when we can visit again I have lots of very interesting places to vist. Happy weekend to both of you 💕

I loved this last video of your Scotland trip… The Castle was just beautiful and the gardens divine! When we were in Scotland we accidentally came upon the Kelpies while we were driving along the motorway.. Had no idea about them and it was so exciting to see them! The music selections - perfect for this footage. I too, love small intimate places to stay. You are able to get a personal connection more so than large and crowded areas. I can’t wait until entry is allowed to the UK. Your videos are helping me map out places in which to visit when I holiday in June 2022- hopefully. 😊
Sterling Castle was just fantastic! I loved seeing the "Unicorn Tapestries" hanging. Internet pictures do not do the Kelpies justice in how large they really are, they are wonderful sculptures. Bucket list trip😁

How beautiful St. Conan’s Kirk is and such a beautiful view. The historical Stirling Castle has amazing history throughout Scotland Royalty and is really wonderful to see. Such an amazing building. I loved the Garden as well quite beautiful, and the view was breathtaking! I adore the Kelpies such great artistry. How lovely to end your trip in Scotland at the beautiful B and B. I love the fabric, Draperies and chair, at Crookston house. It always amazes me, every time I watch something about the stately homes, it’s hard for me to imagine that people actually lived there. Beautiful.
It's a wonderful house, isn't it? Crookston House is actually a family home so people still live there, it's wonderful.

Thank you for another lovely video. The Scottish ones have made me feel quite homesick. You're a couple after my own heart - frequently in tea shops 🤣 I now live in Yorkshire and I think you both would love Helmsley and the surrounding area. Tea shops and National Trust properties (I notice that you're members) galore. One of them, Nunnington Hall, has a marvellous collection of miniature rooms.

Yes, sadly we had to drive to our accommodation and ran out of time but the Kelpies are definitely great.
I look forward to your video's they always make me happy, I married into a German Family, his father is from Bavaria ,I am Hungarian by birth, but left when I was 1 years old, and lived in England till 14 years old then my parents came to Australia ,so have so many beautiful memories of England. I have never been to Germany, but its on our list ,as their is family there for my husband Hugs to Both xoxox
