I have the 96 pencil set. Lovely! Hardish cores, but lay down colors easily. Not scratchy at all. Pity you don't have the additional 24 colors - they are beautiful. They give you an extra 3 purples, 6 blues, 3 greens, 3 browns, 3 grays, a red, an orange, ivory, 3 pinks, a turquoise (oh, I've already counted the turquoise as a blue). All different from the 72 set.
I love these pencils!I have the original set that only had numbers. I love the names they picked -incuding mold! They are a very nice company and it nice to know they listen to their customers.
So beautiful. I wish I could justify buying another set of pencils. I have way too many already. The struggle is real 😂 . They should have included more skin tones though.
I also own a 96 set. For the price they are a great set of colored pencils. I do wish there where more natural tones in the set. I like to do photorealism art and the browns and greys help alot. I'm trying to get some fabercastell pencils to combine the two sets and have a wide variety of the color spectrum.

I just found your channel ...I too adore these pencils. I bought mine a couple of years ago when they had no names on the pencils. So this is a newer set now, and now they've just released a 96 count set ...I am definitely getting the bigger set as it has more skin tones . ( gosh I have so many brands , inexpensive and costly , but I do agree , the elegant design , subtler colours and lovely lay down make these so tempting... great review !

I have to laugh when I hear it's an affordable art supply. I'm from Canada and paid $97 for the 72 colored pencils. It's the same for all brands pretty much so I'm very used to it. Loved your review!
The main difference, these are oil based and Castle Art pencils are wax based. Both are good affordable pencils. These are slightly more expensive though.

It is very hard for me to understand the spoken word without it. (Hearing loss issues.) I'm a newbie colorist, having discovered the joy of adult coloring books only recently. Many evenings have been spent researching pencils, pens, watercolors, markers, etc. These particular pencils have been in my Amazon cart for about 5 months now...but after your review, I think I can click "buy" without worry. I'm buying the 96 color set, but if it's true that the colors are all different than the 72 pencil set, I'll be buying them too. In answer to your question about these pencil colors, my response is that they seem a bit on the muted side, to me. I'm hoping the larger set has added some brighter colors. I have been coloring with Prismacolor Premieres since January 2022, but I'm not loving them as much as I thought I would...too much breakage and they get used up so quickly. It's great that they have open stock, but I'd rather have pencils that break less and last longer. "Colour With Claire" also reviewed the Schpirerr Farben 72 set and highly recommended them too. I'm SOLD. Thank you!
Good Morning, I just received my SCHPIRERR FARBEN 96 colored pencils. I'm so excited to start using them. SCHPIRERR FARBEN 96 doesn't come with a sharpener. I purchased an art knife and sander but I have never used this method for sharpening. Would anyone like to suggest which manual sharpener would work best for these pencils ?? Pretty Purples
I have them in 96...they are rich, but understated, bright, but not garish...like dusty summer flowers. That's the way I describe them❤.

Oh, No. I'm so sorry. That's not fair.
These are over 100€ in Spain (96 set), so it's cheaper to buy them in US, like 40$ less. Same with Prismas. It's sooooo unfair, :(
