I was also impressed with these pencils. They have very pretty colors, sharpen well and are a good budget oil pencil. I do have FC Polychromos and use them often, but these are a great alternate to FC's and at 30% of the cost of FC's, an incredible bargain!
I do love them! I still would say I love Polys more, but that is the color selection and performance. However, these are incredibly good for their price and definitely a favorite of mine.
@colorfullyoptimistic Amazon has sold out of the 120. I hope you enjoy them if you purchase. @Lucy_just_adds_colour turned me on to them 😉 she’s another great channel❤️
I'm very impressed with these colored pencils set, I'm thinking of buying them. After watching your review of these pencils, I'm not sure if I will buy them.
Thank you Kori for your wonderful video’s. You are instrumental in my coloring journey. I completely quit coloring 6 or 7 years ago because I hate my original set of Prismatic Premiere pencils I bought 8 years ago. I had no idea there were other sets and wonderful people like yourself to learn from. I watch your reviews, Karen from Zucchini Kitty, and Ryans from Color and recover. Then I decided to start out with a couple budget friendly sets. I still don’t get why everyone loves Prisma Premier so much. Mine are so waxy and hard for me to color with. I chose the black widow set and I bought some new coloring books and then I found out about the pdf’s on etsy, thank you so much!! Anyway, for me,I’m enjoying coloring again and learning how to put colors together and applying many skills to my rock painting. Side note, your nails always look fabulous. I despise when people say “mean things” because they don’t have anything better to say. Thank you. You’re amazing.
I too feel it is unnecessary to be mean if you disagree. I'm so sorry to hear a set of Prismacolor pencils stopped you from coloring! They definitely aren't for everyone. They're actually my favorite haha, but I know they frustrate a lot of people, and that's totally okay. That's why there are sooooo many kinds out there to choose from :). I'm so happy to hear that you enjoy it again and you're having fun. That is what this hobby is all about!
Also I heard you could lay down a base color with prisma colors then add SCHPIRERR FARBEN to add bolder colors. Have you tried using prisma colors then layer these on top? It's just I prefer using pencils that are open stock like prisma where you can go to an art stock and buy a new pencil for $1.25 and not over $2.
I don't find these blend well with Prismas or other wax-based pencils to be honest. I have tried with Black Widow, Castle Arts, and Prisma and did not like how they played together.
@Paula Johnson Please keep in mind prices fluctuate on Amazon and these were purchased a few months ago (see publishing date of the video). Since then, the price has gone down quite a bit since then :). The previous commenter was asking about blending Prisma and SF - not Poly and SF. Prisma is wax-based, Polys are oil-based. Yes, these blend with Polys well. I know about the dull blades with T'gaal - mine wasn't old :). Thank you for sharing your opinions - always appreciated.
No, not yet! I did finally get my Brutfuner review out and things have just been very hectic, but it is on my to do list. They are both very very good though. But, now that the Brut review is out, I plan to do the other next month comparing them for you guys :)
These are not open stock unless you say spending $2 per pencil on etsy is open lol. I suppose you could replace single colors with a poly chromos? Do SCHPIRERR FARBEN work well with poly chromos then?
I don't think I said they were open stock? Any who, they do well with Polys yes, but this is a budget oil-based pencil and if you are ready for more high end ones, then you might want to skip these and just snag Polys because you can buy those open stock :)
Amazon has their own set of colored pencils and I bought us out and they're really nice and mine was 120 pencils all different colors and I don't like them I wound up accidentally getting two sets so my son don't have a set and I don't have a set to but that's the way to go and it was 3199 their new just

Oh I totally agree! These blend so smoothly and are a great starter oil-based pencil for those not ready to try PC's.
No Place Like Home is a reference to Dorothy’s Ruby Slippers in the Wizard of Oz movie perhaps. 😁 Lovely review! I have these on my wish list.
Aha! You could be right. I didn't even think of that part :).
Schpirrer Farben are one of my favorite pencil brands. Do I like them better than Polychromos? Maybe!!!!
I do love them! I still would say I love Polys more, but that is the color selection and performance. However, these are incredibly good for their price and definitely a favorite of mine.
Gosh
love the colours chart 🥰my brains can digest the colours info much better as I’m
dyslexic seeing everything in different way
The colors are quite pretty!
If you want to try another oil based pencil, try Creyart. Very budget friendly and 120 colors. Great review! On my way to Amazon (for the Creyart)
I'll check it out! I'm always looking for a good oil-based pencil that is worth it. Sadly, I had to return Art-n-Fly - was not impressed.

@@bethbristow8722 Yes, I watch her quite a bit - love her stuff. I'll add them to my list - I'm sure they will pop up again soon :)

They are okay, but they are a budget pencil and you have to keep that in mind. They are never going to perform like an artist grade pencil.

Just ordered these, so excited to try them out
Hope you like them!
I got these for my son for Christmas......very excited to give them to him
I hope he likes them :)

Appreciated the review.. I may consider these..
They're not bad for a budget pencil.
I've watched 5 reviews now. Trying to decide if I need another set of budget oil (leaning) pencils. Hmmm
These are a great budget pencil. I was so impressed with them
Wondering if you ever did the Brutfuner compare to Schpirrer Farben video?

Your pronunciation is very good, so don’t worry about it.
Awe thanks!
Yet some say there are too many yellows in that set.
We all see and feel differently about color palettes :)
Ooff, twice as expensive on Amazon Spain, so quite expensive for a budget set…
Awe that sucks. Some countries will not have them cheap sadly
@@ColorfullyOptimistic, especially with imports from the US. Prismacolors are very expensive here too....
What is up with the names (lol).
Lol who knows but they're fun

Yes, I have those Amazon ones and they are pretty nice - I have a review on my channel for them :)
