Its crazy that theyre criticizing the Texans for wanting less than 3 games when just a couple days ago Stephen A AND SHANNON were on here saying he shouldnt get more than two games.
The NFL is such a weak league now when hits were appreciated now are demonized. When you could win with a defensive team. When qb didn't run out of the pocket because they knew they would get laid out. This weak league is pathetic.
Nick Casero spoke about the being consistency in punishment. Instead of addressing that Stephen A goes off about Nick Casero's short comings as a GM. Jeff Saturday talking about the suspension like Nick Casero said they shouldn't have suspended AL. Nick spoke on consistency and some of the things spoken about AL in the letter from the league. They are choosing to change the subject instead of addressing Nick Casero's comments. QB slides are also some bs when QBs pull the fake slide bs.
Three of you are wrong, Steve and Saturday. Casserio has to defend. The issue here is running QBs, all of you should urge the NFL to change the rules on running QB. It is the prime objective to tackle, this is football. The defender is not his job to protect the QB, it is to tackle. The issue is now qb slide needs to be addressed and take a change. The defender should be suspended for the Altercation but not to play defense.
And to add on top - QBs shouldn’t be allowed to fake going out of bounds on a run. The amount of extra yards they get because the defender can’t even touch him in fear of a flag is crazy.
Anyone who has never played football ever shouldn't speak qb slid late. By the time he did other dude was committing to tackle. There was no way he could have pulled up or if he did then it could have been worse to the head
Azeez grow up, used to be my neighbor, good kid all around I was the first one to give his little cousin some shoulder pads well respectful kid I’m happy he made it
I stopped watching football years ago, but this hit they are complaining about has been happening for decades. They should just have the qb spike the ball when hes in the open field if you cant tackle them. Running up field and sliding as a defender is running full speed where he has to make a spur of the moment decision will be the reason this accident continues
Same for bill walsh same for bill belicheck same for every owner/GM that’s like saying what if Bill Belichick didn’t draft Tom Brady he wouldn’t have Super Bowls well, of course, but he still drafted him Yes, I’m not surprised. Saturday is defending the quarterback because that’s what he spent years in NFL but just like everybody else says what about all the late hits on receivers running backs offensive line defensive line safeties
They mind as well start holding hands and singing red rover in the NFL. 3 games suspension is way too high for this hit. Buddy is getting caught up because this was against Trevor Lawrence
Football is a game of mayhem! There are so many rules that minimize damage, but it's inevitable when 2 to 3 hundred lb men running at high speeds collide. Physicality gives an edge to teams that practice it, so where should the line be drawn?
Agree with Doggy. Seeing reports come out that Lawrence might miss the rest of the season. Only fair to suspend the player with the dirty hit for the same timeframe
I’m all for players being safe, but over time, the league has gotten soft. I’m trying to figure out @ what point did the players start & the league start saying, no, we can’t hit hard anymore. I’m sorry, but I grew up & enjoyed that hard nose, punish you & make you think type of tackling. Remember when the late Sean Taylor hit the kicker in the Pro Bowl???
It's the fact that they didn't reprimand him earlier this season and then just hit him with a three-game suspension without any prior ejections or suspensions this year. It's a bit much
The entire last paragraph of the statement announcing his suspension was attacking Azeez’s character, from an ex-player who has a filmography of cheap and dirty hits.
Only thing stephen a is wrong about is bring up the GMs past tenure. The GM is wrong to bring up consistency for the simple fact of the NFL warning the player on 7 separate occasions. The play was a bang bang play however lowering your shoulder on the hit doesnt help his case
What a lot of hot air from Jeff and Steven A.! The punishment MUST fit the crime! If you hurt someone on a deliberately dirty play and they are out for the season, then you should be suspended for the season as well. No ifs, ands, buts or maybes! Fair is fair and that is right from the Bible, in case you are wondering. Chris Russo is 100% correct.
I rarely agree with Mad Dog, but this is one of those times. I was surprised it WASN’T the rest of the year & just 3 games. I figure there must be something in the CBA that a first suspension for on-field incident can’t be more than 3 games.
He does have history this season with that punch in the bear games. If he don't change, he will send up like that guy from Bengals and raiders burfict.
That hit was Lawrence's fault. He gotta get down sooner. When Rex was speaking Monday morning on the QB sliding thing, I found that to be completely backward. Lawrence needs to get down sooner regardless of its head first or feet first
Stephen A smith is a bozo trying to spin this narrative about Azeez. Guy plays the game hard. It’s football, they’re not playing bad mitten. The hit on Caleb Willams was legal. The hit on Lawerence wasn’t his fault. These are people are absolutely clueless.
I could care less about consistency on this matter! What Al-Shaair did was reprehensible! I didn't think he'd get 3 games, but wouldn't have had an issue if he'd been suspended the rest of the year! I don't kow if this dude is a dirty player or not, but that hit was disgusting! I don't care about anything other than how serious he could have hurt Lawrence!
Mad dog is right suspend this guy for the year. Also the NFL needs to come down on the Texans for acting like this was the QB's fault for sliding at all. The guy lead with his forearm he could easily tried to miss him like we see happen all the time. This is a watershed moment for the NFL and Tom Brady saying it was OK he was wrong too, he doesn't care about players safety anymore.
Stephen A clearly doesn’t keep up with the Texans if he’s blaming Caserio for the 2 bad seasons before 2023. He hired bridge coaches because nobody wanted to come work for us. Deshaun sat out, the defense was worst in the NFL, the offensive line wasn’t good and Deandre Hopkins/Will Fuller were gone and all there was, was Brandin Cooks, Laremy Tunsil, Zach Cunningham, and Justin Reid. We were the laughingstock of sports because of the people that came before him. I would like to disprove his other points regarding melanin, but I have to abide by the YT Guidelines because this is the world we live in now

Caleb was inbounds do your home work free game
@@markeldridge4488 did he say late hit or did he say cheap shot? learn how to read.
Caleb Williams was in bounds when Azeez hit hin so dont lie. Azeez fought back when the Bears and Jags attacked him. So dont lie.
@@jdfw2206so tackling in bounds before the whistle is a cheap shot? Wow.... go back to Soccer princess. Football isnt for you.
Tony Pollard too
I think the suspension had more to do with Azeez's "Free Palestine" cleats
Really
Saturday is a former Colt. He wants nothing more, but for the Texans to go away. Deep down he's jealous of all the Texans recent success. We drafted the better QB, plus we swept y'all in the division 😂😂😂😂
Exactly 😂
It is about what he is off the field too, the way yall have been attacking this man’s character. The way the NFL attacked his character when they released the suspension. Yall made it about him off the field. Stop being pissy when people came after yall for what you’re saying
Azeez got fined for punching a dude earlier this year. He had a dirty reputation for a reason
@ and that dude along with his teammates were already pushing him around on his sidelines what’s he supposed to do. Walk away whiles he’s already being surrounded?
If you look at it closely he used his forearm and hit him in the chest
Youre just blind. Literally blind.
You're wrong. If you think that it him in the chest. Why did Trevor Lawrence get a concussion from that. They literally medically reported that Trevor Lawrence got a concussion from that!
Yeah dude got a concussion from being hit in the chest. 🙄
@@DanielJimenez-mi5zm Yall biased. He hit his head on the turf!
@@unc54 He hit his head on the turf . . . . watch again
Its crazy that theyre criticizing the Texans for wanting less than 3 games when just a couple days ago Stephen A AND SHANNON were on here saying he shouldnt get more than two games.
The fact the league didn’t do anything but fine him after he threw a punch in the bears game. Shows he’s been given so many chances
The NFL is such a weak league now when hits were appreciated now are demonized. When you could win with a defensive team. When qb didn't run out of the pocket because they knew they would get laid out. This weak league is pathetic.
They should just turn the NFL into flag football to satisfy all the whining moms in this comment section. ☹️
Ya don't know this player history. He choked Tom Brady on the field.
I feel that he only got 3 games cause there's only like 5 games left, if this happened week 3 maybe he gets 5+ games suspension smh
No responsibility on the QB for sliding late. Incredible
How about be done with the running QB
Anyone who has never played football ever shouldn't speak qb slid late. By the time he did other dude was committing to tackle. There was no way he could have pulled up or if he did then it could have been worse to the head
He was going for the hammer. He was trying to injury him. It's a dirty play whatever way you wanna spin in and I played football
Azeez grow up, used to be my neighbor, good kid all around I was the first one to give his little cousin some shoulder pads well respectful kid I’m happy he made it
These takes are wild
Came in elbow brace first to the face. Suspend him the rest of the season
It’s crazy to see people do mental backflips on here instead of saying what you just said.
How about all the fake slides that QV’s are doing these days???
I stopped watching football years ago, but this hit they are complaining about has been happening for decades. They should just have the qb spike the ball when hes in the open field if you cant tackle them. Running up field and sliding as a defender is running full speed where he has to make a spur of the moment decision will be the reason this accident continues
Yeah I’m almost to that point
If Al-Shaair was warned about dirty plays 7 times, Caserio doesn't really have a leg to stand on.
Same for bill walsh same for bill belicheck same for every owner/GM that’s like saying what if Bill Belichick didn’t draft Tom Brady he wouldn’t have Super Bowls well, of course, but he still drafted him
Yes, I’m not surprised.
Not one person saying he slid late. Disney controlled show
Football is a game of mayhem! There are so many rules that minimize damage, but it's inevitable when 2 to 3 hundred lb men running at high speeds collide. Physicality gives an edge to teams that practice it, so where should the line be drawn?
A table full of 🤡
I’m a black man ! And for Stephen A to bring up race is ridiculous smh
This is the first time I’m loving a suit Stephen A’s worn to the show
not me
Agree with Doggy. Seeing reports come out that Lawrence might miss the rest of the season. Only fair to suspend the player with the dirty hit for the same timeframe
Caserio is delusional
Nope. He’s got his guys. To question Al-Shaiir’s integrity is crazy. Especially who the comment came from.
In what way ? Everything he said was correct
Good to know “it is what it is” GM. Now I know what Houston is all about.
Jeff Saturday purposefully misrepresenting Nick Caserio’s statement.
So he gets a three week paid vacation while Trevor goes to the hospital and his season ends? Sounds like justice to me. 🙄
They got this right the guy has been fined 47,800 over the years so I applaud nfl on this good job
I would love to debate Stephen A. He just hasn’t met someone who will truly challenge him
I would love to debate Ronald McDonald. He just can't make a hamburger the way Burger King does.
Heck yeah THE WHOLE YEAR!!
I rarely agree with Mad Dog, but this is one of those times. I was surprised it WASN’T the rest of the year & just 3 games. I figure there must be something in the CBA that a first suspension for on-field incident can’t be more than 3 games.
Mad dog I agree to everything you said 100%
He does have history this season with that punch in the bear games. If he don't change, he will send up like that guy from Bengals and raiders burfict.
Stop cutting the clips off. Azeez is one of the greatest humans I know and even has impacted my way of life. He is such a humble guy
Repeat offender
5 Yard penalty from original line of scrimmage for QB slide to avoid tackles.
That was an amazing hit!!!
I would like to disprove his other points regarding melanin, but I have to abide by the YT Guidelines because this is the world we live in now
Azeez is going for Vontaze Burfict title of most hated direst player.
Lazy takes
Y’all gotta chill on Coach Ryans, he definitely said that that wasn’t what they coach and that he would talk to him personally. I know Mad Dog is looking for people to be mad for this but he ain’t the one
It's about what he do on The Field, not off the field.
Play flag football if you're sooo sensitive...bang bang play move on!!!!
They can defend Azeez all day long, there is video evidence
I don't know how anyone could watch the Azeez Al-Shaair hit on Trevor Lawrence and not see him launch after the slide is initiated. That's clearly a dirty late hit.
How fast are these guys moving when the defender has to determine if he can tackle or not???
They stood up for their players. We know the hit was wrong, but they've gotta stand up for their player. I think they're just calling Houston brass dumb for the ill-timed statements.
#freeazeez 🤘🏼😎 i stand with Nick 💯🙌🏼
