HORROR SHORT FILM | Housewarming

- This short horror film follows a woman who recently moved into a new apartment and as with a lot of apartment buildings in the world it has a scary looking and eerie feeling basement where anything or anyone could be lurking at any time of day or night which is the perfect beginning to any horror story you could imagine.
This is our second horror short film written, directed, filmed, produced and composed by the two of us and we hope you will enjoy it.
We recently changed our name from Mountain North to The Bug Pen here on RUclips.

Short and scary! I literally jumped, the music was spot on! The laundry room looked almost identical to one I used in my condo in Carmel, NY. Glad I’m not there anymore after watching this, lol.
KatieLydia Thanks a lot! Haha, I’ve always been creeped out by laundry rooms in the basement, especially when you have to go through eerie corridors to get there!
Splendid work lads! I spilt my afternoon tea all over my tweed jacket and my english bulldog named Bisquit ran into the wall, poor Bisquit... Very scary horror short film indeed.

@@rebeccaaustin3065 yes they are like they are the animals but what can you do. Show a little extra thought and love, of course. Now my little boy Bisquit snoring and dreaming about running towards or from something though it's difficult to tell.

I would never rent from a place that had a basement like this one because I would have a heart attack every time I heard a sound. Nope! Not in any realm.

What I like about it is the killer is female. Most people don't realize many women are just as dangerous and crazy as men are portrayed.

Gradkat---um, that wasn't eye make up in the regular sense. I think they were trying to show her mental illness in that she probably doesn't sleep that much, has bags under her eyes. Or if it IS the crazy girl's make up, it'd be perfect that way--- she would make her eyes look creepy like that but still think she's beautiful.

Hey Dan! We wanted something shorter and less pretentious sounding I guess, hehe. “Bug pen” is also a reference that’s very special and nostalgic to us, which we really liked.

It wasn't my favorite of all time but it was good. Fast and to the point. Didn't rely on words so any language could watch. The only thing I did not like was the title: felt disconnected from story. Thanks for the experience

I liked this. Good length for a short I liked how at the ending we saw what the closets meant as they were foreshadowed earlier in the film. I was just unsure of what the girls motive was, or maybe there wasn't intended to be one? Which is still fine. Overall I give this 4/5 but great work. Can't wait to see more from you guys.
thanks a lot mate! actually with this film we wanted to do more of a “simple scare” and didn’t care all that much about her motive. our first film had more of a motive and was more “complex”, we wanted to try this format as well! thanks a ton for watching and the feedback!

Yup, that’s a different level of loneliness right there.
I'm clearly in the minority here as i did not like this film at all. Boring, drab and there was just no point to the storyline. If it's just horror for the sake of the scare or thrill then that failed miserably too. 3/10

The laundry girl was well tough enough to fight off her attacker same for the male. Not thought out enough. Very sketchy, didn't enjoy one bit.
