LITERALLY I say this word for word that I think he’s smart in that reaction. I’m almost done editing it! Should be up by Friday or Saturday. But I have a HotD ep to get live before then that I’ve uploaded 7 times and still haven’t cleared copyrights on it 🤣 so rip to my schedule
*Fun fact* The show is actually based on a true gang. The Peaky Blinders were a street gang based in Birmingham, England, which operated from the 1880s until the 1920s

yup.... furthermore, i know it's not immediately apparent quite yet, but John also served alongside his brothers in France! just makes it a little funnier that lipps thinks he's a kid!🙂

The show that you have reviewed is basically set in a period of history 40 years later than it first started e.g 1880 to about the start of WWI, they were not really anything more than vicious thugs, with as much animosity towards each other as they showed to the general population at the time, if you want to find out more abouf them, check out a channel by Carl Chinn, who is a Brummie born n bred and also a professor of history based at the University of Birmingham, you will also hear him speaking in a true Brummie dialect. The term Peaky Blinders, from stories passed down via my own family was derived from the fact that they were known for wearing flat peaked caps which they a piece of slate sewn into the peak of the cap, and used it to strike victims across the bridge of their noses, causing their victims to be blinded by the blood entering into their vision so blinfing them. Hence the term "Peaky Blinders". Hope you find that useful, and do please look up Carl Chinn, he is a great guy to listen to, even if the Brummie dialect takes a bit of getting used to.

@@LippsReacts I can't wait, this is definitely a great show. Another one i would recommend you note down as a potential reaction is the Last Kingdom. It is set in England too but like 1000 years prior, gives GOT vibes but with the English + Vikings. (dont want to spoil anything)😂

That's because back then life expectancy was like 45 for men, so once you're 18 you are pretty much a man, and capable of starting your own family
