  • Today I’m reviewing what’s been the biggest upgrade to my camping inventory so far - the TentBox Lite 2.0. This roof-tent has become the most important accessory for my travels and I’m very much keen on spreading the joy.
    Let me explain why!

Just got one of these. I find if you put Vaseline into the zip runs then it makes them flow a lot smoother, especially where it goes round a corner.

Lite 1 in 40mph winds on the NC500 last week had no issues with the poles popping out, the one thing I would check is the stitching on both ends, where the straps hold the fly sheet down as mine were coming away, luckily I have a tailor shop around the corner, which double stitched them to make them stronger ... good info 🤟

Thinking of doing the NC500 myself soon so I'll see how it holds up, thanks for mentioning 👍

Hey dude great video, my big concern at the moment is im 6 foot 3, will I still have room inside the lite 2.0?

Hey, thanks! So the Lite 2.0 mattress is 220cm in height which would probably be fine, but if you wanted a bit more wriggle room then the 2.0 XL is 20cm taller on top of that at 240cm. There are TentBox dealers around the UK so if you search you may be able to find a place to look inside one before buying - or look on the TentBox website for any ambassadors who might live in your area and they might be able to help out.

Does this have any blackout properties built in the material? Doesn’t look so.

The Slate Grey version (this one) has very good blackout capability when all the windows are completely closed. Not a problem at all using it over the summer with early sunrise etc. It can heat up inside quite quickly on a hot day without the windows open but I guess that's a different problem.
The other colours (Sunset Orange and Forest Green) won't be as good for blackout from what I've read but I haven't tried them personally.
