When drawing emotions do you have to change the eyes for example let’s say you draw a character who has oval eyes but you want to express that character is mad, do you change the shape of the character’s eyes or do u just alter the eyebrows and the mouth to express anger?

Yes, the shape of the eyes change all the time, which I show in many of my books on cartooning.

Awesome thank you for the tip I have about four of your books and they are helping tremendously, but I have a hard time creating different mouth expressions from my own imagination and also have a hard time creating hair from my own imagination, So I typically use the mouth expressions that you have placed in your book and I typically use the hair that you have placed in your book to create my characters, do you have any tips on how to develop the imagination to be able to create my own mouth expression and hair from my imagination? I have only been cartooning for two weeks now but I’ve seen great improvement in my craftsmanship

Sure - I suggest scanning it as a black & white photo, and working from that. In B&W, the lines are more pronounced and easier to see.
