We sang this at my son's funeral. I can't hear it and not think of that day. In my mind, I sometimes sing it as "Heavenly Father, are you really there? Do you hear and answer every mother's prayer?" I don't think I've ever prayed more fervently for anything or anyone more than for my own children. And it does make you realize how much our Heavenly parents love us and want everything good for us.
I’ve not heard this song before and it made me cry. I can imagine you at your child’s funeral with this playing. Gosh I have sobbed. I am sorry you lost your child. ❤️

I remember when I first was looking into the Church back in 2014 and I loved being there for the messages. I didn't understand a lot of things at first, but the people who led by example helped me feel like a relationship with God was definitely a reality. The feeling of attending Sacrament was wonderful and I disliked that walking back out into the world just to be reminded of how much craziness there is in the world, but when I was baptized my life changed. I didn't have a big vision or a huge "Aha" moment. My life changed because I chose to allow God to guide me. Even now with the things I still struggle with, not once have I ever felt that God didn't want me and that highly encourages me to keep changing for the better each day.
May Our Lord and Savior continue to guide and direct you on the Covenant Path as you journey through life. We Love you Dominick❤

All the feels! Not sure why, but I'm tearing up watching this video. I know that Heavenly Father is always there for me as I have turned to Him so many times in my life. I have never been able to get through this song without becoming weepy. Especially when I sang it with the Primary children as a teacher. I'd be wiping away the tears and my class would be like what's wrong sister Haughton?

I have definitely felt like a lot of the people in this video. I think we all have. And I love being able to go to my Heavenly Father. But something that struck me as I watched the video, was just that I needed to look outside of myself more. I should be more observant in my busy life. There might be someone feeling lost, lonely, or forgotten. I want to be an answer to those silent prayers. I want everyone to feel how much they are loved and valued. Thanks for the video!

Tylor, I never respond to comments in this chat for reasons I won't explain now, but when I made this video, I was truly hoping that someone who saw it would look deeper to see that often our prayers are answered by others who are brave and in tune enough to follow promptings to look outside themselves and BE the answer to someone else's prayer. The world, as well as the Church, needs many more tadpoles such as yourself. Your words represent a feeling of love for all. More people need to put down their mobiles and be as you said, more observant of others.
There are many who are feeling lost, lonely, or forgotten! Mental health issues are all around us. Imagine being the answer to silent or screamed prayers. Who knows what actions such as what you suggest could prevent.
Humans want to feel loved. Pets are okay to a point but human interaction is essential. Your desires of what you want show how Christlike you are. You have helped me just by reading your message. I desire to be more like you.

I love the depictions of prayer in seemingly non-traditional ways. Sometimes, my prayers are in the moment, driving, working, and dealing with others. It is a tender mercy to be reminded that Heavenly Father hears all of my prayers, not just the ones said on my knees ❤

I wish I felt Heavenly Father was there. Decades of pain, depression, bitter divorce, trying to do my best but failing, and I don't feel it.
Mark, we're sorry for the challenges and hardship you face. Life can be very difficult, but we know Heavenly Father knows what you are going through and loves you. Pray to Him about your needs and desires for support, and we know He will guide you and help you. We also encourage you to seek help from Church leaders, trusted friends and family, and professionals. We know you can receive strength and comfort from the Lord, who promised: “Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. … For my yoke is easy, and my burden light” (Matthew 11:28, 30).

I love this hymn ever since I was a kid because it shows that God truly hears and answers our prayers even if it doesn't seem that way at first. I know that God lives, that Joseph Smith was a Prophet, and that The Book of Mormon is true, and may God answer all our prayers in the future. God bless you all❤

I just watched this video again. It has helped to lift my spirits. I was feeling alone today. This brought me to the realization the Heavenly Father is really there & He weeps when we weep & He is joyful when we are joyful. His love has no ending.
Of all the beautiful people having a hard day, I could relate to the mom and the daughter not getting along, but making amends at the end. Thank you!

I prayed for God to answer my prayers for over 30 years. I trusted in the promises that he would answer me and that by his spirit I could know the truth of all things. That knowledge never came. Every time I prayed and the answer didn’t come, I blamed myself: my faith, my worthiness, my value. Accepting that my faith had been misplaced was the hardest experience I ever went through, but it brought a peace I had been looking for my entire life.

I appreciate your response. That means a lot. I consider it important to validate that for some people, no answer is the answer. This is why I felt it important to share my experience-because I don't consider that it is all too uncommon. I have great hope that we can all do better at creating spaces for people who receive answers different than those we receive ourselves.
Three years ago one of my daughters passed through the veil after much suffering. Oh, it hurts so much. I know all will be made right, because of Christ
A year ago my daughter came to me in a dream. She danced ( she loved dancing) she held me tight, she was so very happy. All will be well 💜

I think it's such a huge miracle that we can open up a line of communication with our perfect loving Heavenly Father anytime we want or need Him. No special equipment, no contract of service and no interference (static, dropped calls). All we need to do is reach out in humble prayer and He is there. Wow!!
Beautiful! This Primary song has always been my go-to when my mind is spinning out in darkness or fear or anxiety. It resets me. I love love love the way the musicians arranged this, for the portrayal of real and universal struggles we all experience at times, and the reminder that we are often the answers to other's prayers- evidence that Heavenly Father is there and is aware of us.
Maybe she needed more love, care affection, none discriminatory remarks, more therapy session, prayer sessions, daily devotional, confidence to start again and to leave strange company. Even she left where the open arms. Jesus is here with us but who acknowledges him? Do you love Jesus? Thanks for the post. I cried and I threw a dirty flower away.

Was a member for over 30 years I left, but I do think that the people of the chruch are Good people, regardless of my feelings of the chruch, it did teach me to be closer to my father in heaven and thats a blessing.

My mom and I sang this in church. She loved this song. How grateful I am for her and all she taught me. in June it will be 2 years since she passed. I miss her every day but know we will be together again and sing once more.

Remember: He never said it would be easy, He just said it would be worth it. Through faith, we can ask Jesus Christ for help with our burdens, and He can heal us and give us strength, understanding, and patience to continue on.
This just became my favorite movie. I know it's about the Lord being there but how many people need a friend. How many people need a good word or even just a "hello". I pray I'll be able to do this. "When we are in the service of our fellow men, we are only in the service of our God.

I know peoples views are unfavorable toward our church. But it never stops growing. No matter what is thrown at it. Man is fallible. His church is indestructible. People make mistakes and leadership too and i have learned this. Even Joseph Smith had to repent at times. Its okay. but living life as he wants turns us from coal to diamond as he applies pressures to form us by following ordinances and principles. As long as we call on him he helps us thru our infirmities to get us thru the process. Trust in the lord. We are not alone.
In the end, it's not man's opinions that matter. It's what Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ says that matters.

Love this - we all have our struggles and I love that we can turn to our Heavenly Father. It is so often that He then reaches out to lift us up, by using others in our lives!

2020 (year of pandemic) has been the "best" year so far this decade as a LOT has (and continues) to go wrong in my wife's and our lives. BUT, as we have remained faithful in reading and studying the scriptures daily, saying our prayers, etc. we continue to ALSO see His hand in all of the good things that have happened and continue to happen. It is so easy to get discouraged at times, but this is the tool of the adversary and one that we must not let overcome the positive things in our lives, for there are many. We just have to look for them, acknowledge them, and give thanks to our Heavenly Father for all that He does do for us, each and every day. Thanks so much for these videos.

My Grandma Hope taught me this song when I was a little girl and since then, I've sung it many times in Primary and other places. I love this video because there is always HOPE in prayer, our Savior, and our Father in Heaven.
