@daniel seddon daniel seddon, yes, but there is a but. If just the European Union machine hadn't existed and each European country could have kept growing at its own pace and on its own path! Instead look at the big mess the European Union has made of old and beautiful Europe!
The Killing Joke's "Europe" actually says it all:
      ruclips.net/video/gy92Ypkpn6I/видео.html
"What have they done? What are they doing?"

    • @benedettobruno1669

@daniel seddon daniel seddon, spot on! The European Union Bureaucratic Machine doesn't represent the different peoples of Europe. How could it ever? There are so many differences among us!
Great Britain has been a crucially important country for the rest of the European countries and the entire World for centuries and it's impossible to imagine our Planet without such a unique and very special country. Europe and the World do need a Britain which is strong and inspiring, as it has always been so far. The Brexit Process does look like a messy and impossible quagmire but I wish that once out of it all, the British People and Great Britain will have found a new fruitful future.
From my heart I send you all the very best wishes.

Conventional wisdom would have one believe that it is insane to resist this, the mightiest of empires, but what history really shows is that today's empire is tomorrow's ashes; that nothing lasts forever, and that to not resist is to acquiesce in your own oppression. The greatest form of sanity that anyone can exercise is to resist that force that is trying to repress, oppress, and fight down the human spirit.

One of the bands (this album especially) that inspired me as a musician my band and my solo music. Found out later they were adored by bigs like Metallica and Foo Fighters. This album, "Brighter than a Thousand Suns" I thought was different from their other stuff and was my favorite.

Anyone feel that this song is PERFECT for what the whole world is going through at the moment? All too busy remembering what we've lost until the final part lifts us up..."So let the sunrise..."

Killing Joke is pretty perfect for a lot of the changes we are experiencing - a lot is open to interpretation. I got really into them in the last few years. Over fifteen albums I find the same basic message regarding the duality of man and his capacity for creative change. In short, if we believe in apocalypse we might just get it but if we believe a golden age can come than perhaps it can.

Pra mim é inexplicável o sentimento que essa música me traz. Eu fui contemporâneo na adolescência dessa época dark gótica nos anos 80 e até hoje é impactante e atemporal.
