I think this is clearly the episode where Dawson started to develop some feelings for Joey but clearly he was very much in denial
This scene made me think that Pacey and Jen were for sure gonna get together. The way that they looked at each other afterwards had so much tension!

i kinda hated joey for treating jen that way. the only reason joey was acting like that was because she was so jealous of her and dawson and that's pretty insecure and shitty. i liked joey later but still jen will be my fav girl.

This episode is always special because it's the first Dawsons Creek episode I saw was a fan ever since.

Very great episode I remember watching dc when I was in high school I still love this show this was great for Joey and Dawson who did develop feelings throughout this season.
So unfair how choosing dare means other participants are also obligated. Jen's like "Oh he has to kiss me, he was DARED!" I've never played this version of the game

Honestly tho, after reading these comments.. are your lives perfect? Like you always got the guy or girl or nobody ever stole your friends or crushes attention when you needed them, when you have a tight friendship and maybe a crush it’s hard to let someone new in, and A LOT harder when that person and your friend/crush likes each other. I get the pain Joey

This is precisely why I never liked Joey and always felt that she didn't deserve Pacey. She was always mean, rude and judgemental about people. I am not saying Joey didn't have her own set of problems, but that doesn't excuse her behavior. I always found her to be more annoying than Dawson.
I had my problems with Joey. I also felt pacey was not all that good.

@Love they just didn’t have great storylines together compared to the other couples. Different personalities too.
Opposites attract. You dont need to be identical to your partner, sometimes differences are a good thing.

jen literally kiss boys and go to school dances with other boys i get joey likes him but she is also his best friend at the end of the day and doesn’t wanna see him get hurt jen even hesitated to say she lusted for Dawson jen gets me so mad lmao .

YES! Joey was the nastiest character on TV, and everyone was always like she is the nicest. I was like, "Are we watching the same show?"

Abby Morgan was by far my favorite character I was so mad when they killed her because the show was missing a little something and they spent the rest of the show trying to get it back they brought in Drew who was kind of like a boy version of her then he bought an Audrey that brings the same kind of drama and they just never got it right but I loved Abby

Abby indeed was always bullying everyone but there is more to her story she revealed it to future character Andie in season 2 definitely check that out but yes I don’t like her being so cruel.

So question, why on earth does everyone like Jen's character? It seems I have an unpopular opinion qnd prefer Joey! I mean, yes .each character has their annoying moments HOWEVER I really didn't like Jens character. Like when she seduced Dawson when SHE was the one that ended it and he tried getting her back so many times after that! (Apologies for commenting this information under this video, I cant seem to find the clip im referring to!) 🤣
I agree somewhat. Jen is a nice girl though, and she tried really hard to be friends with Joey. But it did bother me how everyone, including Jen already knew how much Joey was in love with Dawson already yet Jen still tried to continue to pursue Dawson anyways. The only person who was oblivious to Joeys romantic feelings for Dawson was DAWSON. idk. I get that Dawson was single and that him and Joey are suppose to be just friends, but if I were in Jens shoes I wouldn't have even bothered, it's really hard to come in between two best friends of the opposite sex that have 10 years of romantic/sexual tension built up. I think Dawson was very infatuated with Jen, bc she was something "new" where with Joey?.. I think he's always been in love with her but was in denial, maybe afraid of it costing their friendship. I think he tried to force himself onto Jen to keep his feelings for Joey in the dark, but he was wrong for getting upset with Joey for trying to move on herself and date other people since he wouldn't take the hint and too busy trying to pursue Jen. He can't have his fun and expect Joey to stay single and wait for him. But I don't think Jen was wrong for giving Dawson a chance, she just realized later on that they weren't right together.
@@Bella-Mae0422 Yes for sure , you explained the characters exactly as I would have now, since writing that comment I finished the whole series about three weeks ago! The last two seasons I really liked Jen, as her character developed and her friendships with others; despite the fact no one was really there for her with her downward spirals, which was really sad because she turned out to be a really kindhearted person and loving friend, especially to Audrey and Jack! I loved her relationship with her grandmother, she had a rough time growing up but she matured and I choked up with her final scenes, fantastic acting and the writing for each character was superb...now I need to get into another series but nothing quite compares to Gilmore Girls and Dawsons Creek!

@@Bella-Mae0422 oh my gosh i just assumed that you had seen them all by your previous response *facepalm* apologies if I gave away any spoilers 😳🤦♀️ it is an amazing series though, and same here- I think I was like 2 when it first came out! I think I saw the odd ep as a child but now I want to see more stuff with the actors in like 'The Kennedys' with Katie holmes- there was something about Dawsons Creek (and Gilmore Girls, if you haven't seen it already i highly recommend) that was so cosy and I dont find any other series match up to that at all!
