Dawson's Creek is a provocative drama about the coming-of-age of a group of teenage best friends in a small New England coastal town. Dawson Leery seems to have the perfect life. I just read the book “Freaks, Gleeks and Dawson’s Creek” and was stunned to read Michelle Williamson wasn’t considered “pretty enough” by the WB’s standards… she’s freaking gorgeous. Wth?

Dawson is lucky he didn't end up with manipulative Joey! Season 3 they really ruined the show I thought. They turned Pacey into a love sick moron! Joey into a manipulative self centered shit and Dawson was the only one they kept truthful and loyal.

I agree. I wish they had never introduced the love triangle. Or that they put an end to it after season 4 because they dragged it out unnecessarily and made Dawson such a villain because most fans see him only through that love triangle and not all the other amazing ways that he was a great friend

You know I was in my early 20’s when this show came out. as a straight White male, I really didn’t give two shits about the show I’ll be honest with you. As I’ve grown older, I’ve tried looking back at things that I wrote off in years past. I actually like to think that I’m very open minded nowadays. and while the show definitely has some cute moments, it’s so hard for me to watch younger people bumbling through adolescence, without rolling my eyes every second. The popular word today I feel would be used is “cringe”.
