He was only in that Kevin Williamson the show creator REALLY wanted him to be. They basically had to hit him with a rolled up newspaper and be all "No! Bad creator no cookies" That's why the first half of the series finale was so heavily trying to revive something we were all convinced was dead and I legit had my shoe in my hand ready to chuck it at the TV. I think the Dawson and Joey thing was him trying to say "I'm sorry I'm gay" Keep in mind that while he claims he created both Dawson and Pacey off himself that Dawson is infinitely more Kevin. But he said that he based Joey off his childhood friend. "Fanny" For two seasons it feels like Dawson and Joey are being forced together in spite of Dawson's character continually having to tell us why they're awesome together because what we're seeing doesn't mesh up. After season 2 Williamson left the show as a writer/showrunner going off to work on other projects. This allowed the other writers the power to explore chemistry between the characters and actors without forcing Dawson and Joey to be together but still having Elements of that whole thing to deal with. It feels like to me Kevin was originally trying to create a world for his childhood friend where she got to be married to her best friend. And when he came back he was like 'no but Dawson and Joey" with the rest of the cast and writers being like "but they don't make sense" Thus instead we get the whole "soulmate forever friends always connected" nod with lead into a show in their universe where the story of Kevin and Fanny, Dawson and Joey, Colby and Sam will begin all over again over and over and over. I can even see it from his POV it's easy to think "If it wasn't for this one minute but pivotal thing we would totally be together" Well maybe not. Maybe even in a universe where Dawson is straight they just aren't the right fit.
If the actors hadn't said no at the end dawson and joey would have been end game originally that is how the script was written don't get me wrong totally a pacey/joey shipper but yeah
@@Litandharryginny I'm aware and a large part of that is due to Kevin coming back after not being part of the show for four seasons and being all "great now lets do what I intended."
I can’t believe the scene of him watching Joey sleep after Gram talked about doing it didn’t end up on this list. That scene was all Pacey. Pure love. He never told Joey and she never knew. It’s kinda the most powerful and deep thing the show ever produced. At the end of the episode, you see him sitting there thinking... and when it pans to Joey and you understand that he’s watching her, by the fire.... then you remember what Gram said? It hits you like a ton of bricks in the chest.
Yes, even though Pacey embarrassed Jack during that speech, and it could earn you detention, suspension or expulsion in real life, it was fantastic to see Pacey stand up to that homophobic jerk like that!
@@trinaq yeah his good intentions are sometimes undermined by his methods. It's like when he tried to beat up who was responsible for destroying Joey's mural. Luckily he didn't, but he should've. It's not right by it is out of his hearts' goodness.
The full context of that scene, including including him sticking it to the teacher in the office is missed. He is BY FAR the most moraly sound character in the whole show
Don't forget the finale scene: "just being in love you is enough for me. so you're off the hook". That's how selfless he is, he just want Joey happy and deeply in love the way he's in love with her even if the man isn't him 🥺
That was my favorite. In season 2 Joey said that “loving someone without the promise of that love ever thriving… that’s romance… that besides the circumstances they never stop loving” really calls back to what he said and why they ended up together.
Ugh yes!! And he never put that pressure of being her “soul mate” on her, he didn’t try to coerce her into loving him like Dawson did. He’s just my absolute favorite
YES HE DID, HE DID IT ALL THE TIME, HE TOLD HER HE LEAVEING THE STATE IF SHE DOES NOT PICK me, HE TOLD HER ALL YEAR ANYTIME SHE DID SOMETHING HE DID NOT LIKE HE LIKE YOU WOULD NOT DO THIS FOR DAWSON, HE GASLIGHTED HER FOR A YEAR, then after sleeping with her break up her in the worse way and then tell her he will not be her freind. so yea pacey was far worse then dawson.
Pacey was painted as the screw up but he's honestly just a teenager. Everyone screws up but for him he could never get rid of that reputation (in town or to his father). But Pacey tries new things, cares for people, fights for them, he literally grows the entire series. And eventually he comes into his own and finds a job he likes, stays close with his friends, & chooses to be with the woman he loves. He's a success in every respect. The fact he was charming & sweet was just icing on the cake
Yes, Pacey at his best, in both cases! The father scene ALWAYS makes me emotional, especially since he's in a coma at the time, so can't respond to his son's pleas. 😢💔
@@mightybitchy it actually wasn’t that over the top. I just recently watched the show (I’m 24 now) and could relate so so much with him and his action. As stupid as it sounds I also was proud of his reaction (I know He is fictional). I found my self during my high school times in him. Standing up for others, taking all the shit and being maybe stupid for yourself just to stand up for others
Ya, but that was wrong. He was "15", and didn't know better. She was literally a child predator. She was in her late 30s having s*x with a literal 15-year-old. I really hoped she would face the consequences of doing what she did.
best pacey speech is in the final season when him and joey are stuck in the supermarket and he tells her that he wants to kiss her all the time, "especially when he is arguing with her"
When I rediscovered the show as it was ending I was going through a really rough time in my life including separation from my now ex-wife, losing my dad . That speech helped me to learn to start letting go when I can't have who I want in my life.
It’s funny that Pacey is pitched as the slacking, underachieving screw up of the show while Dawson is pitched as the good, moral, nice guy and yet Pacey turned out to the best character of the show and Dawson, the worst! It’s no wonder why Joey picked him.
@@mightybitchy yeah- he could more than Dawson at least- like when Dawson had devin look at his script and she didn’t like soem of it and was giving him constructive criticism, he totally freaked out and got all annoyed at her cause she had a different opinion
I love them both but I'm glad Joey ended up with Pacey. I do believe both guys love Joey without a doubt. However, Joey made the best choice not just for her but for them. Dawson and Joey had big dreams, but different paths. One of them has to give up their dreams so they can be together. With her choosing Pacey no one has to give up anything, Pacey really didn't have a big career path, he is the go with the flow kind of guy. He is willing to drop anything for Joey. Even if Dawson is willing to give up being a big director in Hollywood for Joey but he would have regretted his decision since there is one thing Dawson loves more than Joey which is film. In the end, all three of them got the happy ending that they wanted. Dawson finally became the director he always dreams of and finally meeting his idol. Pacey got the girl of his dreams. Joey became a career woman and finally found true love.
I genuinely don't understand why people like his character so much. Him and Joey were dead to me after they did what they did behind Dawson's back. I thought for the entire show that there was just no girl good enough for dawson
Pacey saw Joey at her absolute worst and fell for her. Dawson saw her at her absolute best and fell for her. Pacey realizing he likes Joey is a great moment. He liked her before Dawson had a clue. And yet he still made sure he wasn't going to be stepping on toes when he made a move. She lets him down and rather than wallow or pine he makes an effort to let go and move on. Dawson had no such consideration for Pacey's feelings when he made a move on Joey. Then later in season 3 when Joey now returns Pacey's feelings Dawson's all "you betrayed me she's my ex!" uhm and he liked the girl before you had a clue dude. You don't get dibs because she was too busy pining over your ignorant ass to realize what a catch Pacey was.
@@CMFilmsOfficial The show kept saying they were soulmates but never showed they were. If I were to look at them without ever knowing the soulmate thing I'd say that Pacey and Joey are soulmates. He's the one that knows her the best. Dawson's a good guy until his own feelings are involved then he becomes an asshole pretty much every single time. The things that sabotaged their relationship was Dawson and Joey not being a good fit. Jack came along when she was re-discovering a connection to her dead mother that Dawson was dismissive of. It wasn't fear there it was the fact she felt like Dawson wasn't seeing her. And he wasn't. He never did it was like he had a Joey shaped blind spot. Then he pressured her into being the one to wear a wire and destroy her dad in spite of the fact he himself was a credible witness. He was a sanctimonious ass throughout that whole thing acting like she should be treating him like a bloody hero in a difficult situation. Then when he comes back he rejects her attempts to make up with him and does the whole "go sit on that shelf and don't develop feelings for anyone else while I sow some wild oats" that whole "we can be together just not right now" thing in every show is BS. It's almost always the guy saying it and it's always him expecting her to wait for him while he goes off and has other relationships. When they next get a chance in college he first shoves her away after the death of his dad. Having been there that's a dick move. He blamed his feelings for her and his own selfish short sighted decisions for the death of his father. So it was all her fault. The last time he makes her the other woman. Something everyone that knows Joey knows is her Kryptonite. Infidelity is the hill she will die on. Every time. Her dad cheated on her mom while her mom was dying and that's a wound that will never properly heal. Dawson did worse than cheating on Joey. He cheated on someone else with Joey. He made Joey the other woman. The relationship that scared Joey was Pacey because the connection she had with him was more real than any other. He could truly hurt her. Dawson could only disappoint her. I will point out that Dawson is based on gay show creator Kevin Williamson and Joey is based on his childhood friend Fanny. The repeated attempts to make them soulmates reflects him trying to honor friendships from his childhood while ignoring the fact that maybe it's not that he was gay that they never would have made a good couple. In the show Pacey and Joey have an almost instinctual knowledge of each other. They are the ones that get scared of each other. They are the ones that run away out of fear. Dawson never seems to doubt his relationship with Joey and never really tries to understand her.
pacey like her after he spyed on her getting changed, sorry that does not make him a good guy. and if you going to blame dawson for not realizing he loved her, then you have to blame joey for not like pacey you cant have a double standards. and dawson dated her first, and pacey lied about it,
you wrong, he did see joey, he was not dismissive of her art he did not like one peice, like dawson said that no different then when we fight over a moive, as for her dad, he ran deeper into a fire to save her dad, he talk to joey about turning her dad in, SO her dad would get less jail time. even her dad said DAWSON was right. and for him turning her down, SHE TOLD HIM i never want to see you again, would you trust her after that, he was heart broken, she was in the wrong. his dad he was haveing a break down, and joey even said she did not wnat to be there any way. and again no he did not make her the other women, since she was not his girlfriend, so everything you said is worng. BUt pacey did sleep with a marreid women, did sleep with one that was going to get marreid and did cheat on his girlfriend.
@@stevemyopinion423 Okay lets tackle the one that, uhm wow, being the "other woman" doesn't mean you're the girlfriend. It means you're the one that he cheated on his girlfriend with. He called her art "A hobby" that's being dismissive of it at a time she had been expressing to him a thought of maybe doing this as a career in the future. She was even talking to an architect that was giving her lots of great advice. I would understand that I had just helped her destroy her family and maybe she just wants to hurt alone for a bit. I don't think Dawson was wrong in trying to get her dad sent to jail. I think he was right. Where he was wrong was in acting like it should be no big deal and Joey should be thanking him after they just sent her own dad to prison. He made it very clear repeatedly the following year that he 100% expected them to end up together again when he wants to be. That doesn't look like trust issues. I broke down when my father died suddenly as well. I was an asshole. But I never blamed anyone else for any of the decisions I'd made. That's the difference. So did Charlie. Joey's trigger about infidelity is "Don't involve me" She was upset when Dawson's mom cheated because after her mom died and her dad went to prison they were the closest thing to parental figures she knew. Bessie was still just big sister. Dawson directly involved her in his cheating. He had a girlfriend and the first time they sleep together is making her the other woman. Again in case you missed it being the other woman/man means that the person you slept with is in a relationship. They cheated on that relationship to sleep with you. I don't think 99.9% of the people in the world are bad people. My ex-wife cheated on me. To my knowledge she's never cheated on anyone else. With me the relationship was bad. With her current husband the relationship is good. This is because people are more complex than good/evil right/wrong. Dawson & Joey simply aren't a good fit. He does better with girlfriends that are all about supporting his vision. Who are okay with playing third wheel to his career.
@@stevemyopinion423 Yeah I blamed Dawson for not realizing he had feelings for Joey until she was presenting a fantasy image of herself. Joey realized she had feelings for Pacey when he was being Pacey. It's not a double standard it's literally the same standard. If Dawson had realized he had feelings for her when she was being herself that would be good. But he wanted to stick her in a box. He had an image of who she was and deviations were not acceptable. She never wanted to change Pacey which was a problem for Pacey because Pacey felt bad about himself and so the fact she didn't want to change him reinforced his feelings of being worthless because if she didn't want to change him that meant he wasn't worth changing and must in fact be worthless. He created this feedback loop in his own mind that destroyed him. And their relationship.
Joshua was given really good lines/material, and certainly knew how to deliver them perfectly. He was a very good actor, with an in-depth understanding of how to portray just the right amount of emotion to each aspect of his character, for his age during that time, outstanding performances. Michelle was also in a league of her own.
I know this is replying 2 years later, but you are 100% correct. I just discovered this show in the spring and was completely blown away by Joshua's acting abilities. And they did give him great lines, but is delivery was incredible
Every Pacey moment was the best Pacey moment. He is one of my favorite characters of all time. His loyalty, wit and compassion were his best assets. Loved him from beginning to end
When it came on Netflix and I watched the first season, I wasn't a huge fan of pacey. Didn't like Dawson one bit but after seeing pacey with Andy I was completely sold. The way he helped her out of the bathroom I was like yeah the hype for him is understandable. From then on he had me hooked! Joshua is such an amazing actor, I have started watching other things he has been in!
That's qctually why season 2 is my favorite, andie was great for pacey, and when she got sick, he was great, and we saw how hurt he was his dad spoke down on her...josh, ive liked him since his mighty ducks days lol
Oh I feel the same… in the beginning I wasn’t a big fan of Pacey but neither Dawson’s… It all changed for me when Pace was with Andie and after when he was falling for Joey… I totally understood the hype… he is perfect, by far the best character on the show !!
The one person who disliked this video is the one person in the world that actually liked Dawson 😂 Pacey is the single most perfect character to grace the TV screen.
@@2xtimesss347 literally- I never liked Dawson, he was some of whiny kid who couldn’t take any critical, and after 6 seasons guess what?!?! I still hate him
yea pacey so was good lied to his best freind lost his money by being stupid, sleeping with a married women, cheated on adrey, no he was just not that good of a person.
@@blackhawk5724 actually, in that same episode Grams said something like "you know you are in love with someone when you can sit by the fire and watch them sleep" something like that. so its like oh he's in love w her
Honestly in my mind you can split it up like this Seasons 1 and 2 Dawson's Creek Seasons 3 and 4 Pacey's Creek Seasons 5 and 6 Joey's Creek. They were all there but it felt like those were the foci for those seasons with everything else happening around them.
One of my favorites was when Dawson's dad died and Pacey takes Dawson to the bend in the road and does the whole speech about how Dawson didn't kill his dad. And how the driver had worked a double shift and had kids of his own, he was the one killed Mitch and he would have to live with that for the rest of his life.
Missed at least two of my favorite moments: acting out the English Patient monologue for baby Alex, aka the moment that made me fall in love with Pacey Witter, and when he talks Andie's mom out of the grocery store, giving her back a dignity everyone else had robbed her of.
Pacey was always the best character. He always put people before himself. He could have and definitely should have thrown the teacher under the bus, but he got himself in trouble to help her.
As much as I love "I remember everything, "I think the best Pacey moment is helping Andie when she was having her mental health crisis. That's some real, adult I care about you regardless of whether we're a couple stuff. Love is at its best when it's selfless, and that moment becomes more meaningful to me the older I get.
@@Johnnysmithy24 oh didnt even remember that lol, I actually agree that was the best gesture he had, still he wasn't right for her, they were not good together as a couple and everyone could see it all seemed forced, they were trying to fit in with the ideas they had of them as romantic partners
@@samigane1845 I don’t agree that they were not good together. Everytime they broke up it was because the writers tried to throw obstacles in the way to have more drama(content), like Joey being a confused mess. But with Pacey and Joey, they broke up organically because of their own flaws that made them incompatible.
Yes, after the "Worst of Dawson" list, we just needed to be reminded of how awesome Pacey was, especially the "Brave heart" monologue! Joey definitely choose the better guy, in my book! 💘👫
@@lisazelko3353 they didn't show it yet in my country, I tried my best to avoid spoiler, I didn't expect to find one in a Dawson's creek dedicated video 🤷♀️ my bad I guess?
Joshua just as a whole made the whole show better for me, such an important character that no one could of played better. 😭👏👏 I can't even pick my favorite part that pacey was a part of in this show.
I had this weird growth. I was in high school as a Junior when the show hit the air. I watched it some and then stopped. I remember being all for Dawson. Then college, marriage, army. I came back to the show in it's last season after losing my dad, divorce, etc a real shit year. They were rerunning the show in order on another network and I started watching it and that's when I started seeing things I hadn't before and was suddenly all for Pacey admittedly in part because in high school I had been the Pacey character. Slacker screw up who's got a brain but feels like this is as good as it's ever going to get.
@@reptilian_0 Honestly I'd put Grams and Audrey over Andie just because later Andie got....jus wow. Which was a large part of why the actress left the show with the whole fake rape accusations storyline that was yikes not a good feel in a time when every rape allegation was getting the same "this is fake isn't it" reaction. and because Grams became epic she went from the most judgmental to the one adult that every one of the group eventually came to rely on....except Dawson. Really I've read a lot of Fan fics where it's post high school and Dawson's just kind of gone and it feels right. By the end of the show he did feel like the one that never keeps in touch and just vanishes from their lives. I think that if he hadn't had his name in the title that when he went off to CA for college he would have left the show. It was a good time to exit the character. Most of everything we got in 5 and 6 could have still happened with circling more around Joey and Pacey coming back together. That's the one great thing about fan fiction and this show is what first got me into reading Fan Fiction. Being able to see good writers look at the story without worrying about ratings. Just exploring different paths. But the show would have been able to explore Pacey without the forever shadow of Dawson Leery hanging there. Wacky fan theory but I think that in The Creek Dawson's going to write Colby off the show at some point and make it a love letter to Pacey and Joey.
Y’all forgot the one where Pacey protected Joey when she got drunk and that guy tried to take advantage of her. It was an early episode before he realized he had feelings for Joey. Which shows how great of a guy he truly was.
42 seconds in.. andie and him apologizing, lol love the banter But all time "andie did more for my life in 6 months, than you did in 16 years." Defending andie like that to his dad, he really loved her, john disrespecting her like that, calling her a girl with a few screws loose, i felt that too, i understood, it didnt bother pacey, it genuinly hurt him.
My all time favourite Pacey moments are when he’s watching Joey sleep by the fire as grams mentioned previously “you know you really love someone when you can sit by the fire and watch them sleep.” 😭😭 And then when he says “I remember everything.” That gave me actual heart palpitations
YAASSS! From the very beginning, Pacey has always and will forever be my favorite! The way he thinks and the consideration he has before he speaks to someone about anything is what got me! And that scene in season 3 when Joey found and was wearing her mother's bracelet?! And Pacey noticed and remembered?! Dawson didn't even noticed and he claims to be her best friend or someone who loves and knows everything about her! Dawson is selfish, self absorbed and can't seem to get a clue! I can keep going but it'll take all day! Lol...PACEY ALL THE WAY! 😍👏
and yet joey tell both dawson and pacey DAWSON know her best, like dawson know all of her faces something PACEY never did, so how the hell is dawson selfish and seld absorbed, when all he did was think for his friends, i mean dawson dealing with brooks death, are joey and pacey there for dawson nope, joey cant go to college dawson pays, joey break up wtih pacey DAWSON there for her, when he breaking up with gratchin was she there for him, NOPE, sorry dawson was a far better freind to her then she was to him.
@@araybia I liked Dawson when he was with Gretchen, and in his friendship with Brooks But Pacey and Jen were the most interesting and complex characters
Pacey is THE BEST Male on Dawson's creek in my mind for sure the stand out for me is for Pacey is when he stands up/defends for himself in front of Dawson because Dawson treats him the worst throughout the show
Because Pacey keep messing up. Not Dawson Again the reason Dawson. Stop being friends with Pacey is Pacey always turn everything into a competition. Why would you want that.
He IS the best character in Dawson’s Creek. The best thing that happened to that show 🙌🏻❤️ Often times I feel Joey didn’t deserve him. He always knew he loved her and was clear about it, while Joey was all over the place with andalusí relationships, always with the toxic circle with Dawson and having Pacey as a second choice every time.
when i started viewing dawson creek ...it pacey caught my attention ..his acting is super special and never stopping since then specially when joey and pacey stuck in the pond for snail hunt project ..starting to like joey and thier love for each other.. what a sweetest scene when pacey loves each girfriends..how honest loving and treat them so special to his heart..the best part is when joey and pacey loves for each other shared ..ican't help...i ve seen it 20 more times ...pacey joey the best in this movie...now my favorite actor is joshua jackson and katie homes...love them both
So I missed watching this originally first time round when it was on tv, must have just been because it was on a weird channel I didn't have at the time and I watched it all on Netflix and the anti-prom scene had me dying... Had me SOBBING and saying I remember everything constantly. MY GOD. He is such a dream.
Pacey is the one character that has a real arc during the show. I´m 44 now but I realize that the show tried to show a feel of adolescence but showing maturity and the one that has those characteristics is Pacey. When I watched the show back in the 90s I was in my early 20s and for the firtst time I felt that I would've liked to be like that at that age, now I realize that we are naive and stupid when we are young and we become maybe a bit bitter an cinic trough the way life gives us, but we grow. Pacey taught me in some way how a man should be for the one who loves or well, he made me realise that I wasn't that wrong about how to love someone. Thank u Witter.
Pacey is my absolute favorite from Dawson Creek. I loved everything about him. He has the heart of gold and cared deeply for his friends. He has saved Dawson numerous times, Andie (mental illness), Jack (mean old teacher), Jen, Aubrey and of course Joey (dad, buying her a wall).
what are you talking about pacey never save dawson, but dawson save pacey, and i sick of the wall dawson paid for her college, dawson far better person.
@@stevemyopinion423 just my opinion. Growing up on Dawson’s Creek, my friends and I were always crazy about Pacey. Every girl I knew loved him more than Dawson.
ok i understand how people think that just becouse There group of friend agree on something that everyone does. for some reason people over look a lot of pacey mistake BUT bash dawson for everything he did, and for stuff he did not even do.
I like this little debate thanks for responding 😊 I believe Dawson was always a great friend but with Joey he was just too possessive for my taste. He seemed very selfish at times. Yes he paid for her College. That was beyond generous. Pacey would have paid for Joey if he had the money. I guess most people see how Dawson had a support system at home and had everything he needed. Then there was Pacey who didn’t have that. Also Joey who has a tough childhood. People just automatically put the two odd ones together so they could have something. This sounds mean but Dawson is boring and Pacey is by no means perfect but he is good fun and exciting.
Honorable mention: when he talked to college guys for joey helped joey retake english test off the hook speech In love bites he came back to dance with joey even though his heart was broken. Left new year party to console Dawson's ex girlfriend.
I loved Pacey. He was the most good looking and charming. I was so happy when he and Joey got together, sad when they broke up and happy they ended up together in the end.
I've always enjoyed seeing's Lacey's character get developed better as each season goes by, and was rooting for him whenever he had his moments to shine. I wish he would've been the main character instead of Dawson.
The “What makes you care so much?” conversation with Mitch is Top Ten. As well as the “I got in Dawson’s rowboat” scene from the season 3 premiere. More subtle but more rewarding
I watched this from day one! I was and will forever be a Pacey fan. He is who I compared all my future relationships against. Now I’ve been married for 20 years, and I admit Pacey still gives me butterflies 🦋
Amen! I'm watching the series again. I have no idea how many times I've seen it, but I usually come back to it for Pacey. Though I do love some platonic Jen and Jack wholesomeness.
Pacey was and will always be the best character of this show. 9-year-old me instantly liked him the first time she got a glimpse of him on tv and two decades later, when I finally decided to properly watch the show, I was very happy to know that she had had good taste for a kid 😂
I think at least one moment with Audrey should have been included, and the episode where he and Joey get trapped overnight in the store and she shaves off his beard and tells her how he still feels. 🥰

This allowed the other writers the power to explore chemistry between the characters and actors without forcing Dawson and Joey to be together but still having Elements of that whole thing to deal with.
It feels like to me Kevin was originally trying to create a world for his childhood friend where she got to be married to her best friend. And when he came back he was like 'no but Dawson and Joey" with the rest of the cast and writers being like "but they don't make sense"
Thus instead we get the whole "soulmate forever friends always connected" nod with lead into a show in their universe where the story of Kevin and Fanny, Dawson and Joey, Colby and Sam will begin all over again over and over and over.
Pacey ruined every guy for me when I was younger. I wanted someone like him. Unrealistic expectations.
Extreme naivety. Guys like Pacey are a nightmare on the long run.

Pacey also ruined dating for guys...
Could you imagine being a guy having to look for a wall for sale (or for rent) for someone they really like
And every dude wanted to date insert pretty girls name when they were growing up, guess what we grow up and our preferences change.
Yep this.
it not prue love it creepy as hell.
The scene where he spit in the teachers face to defend Jack.
He is BY FAR the most moraly sound character in the whole show
you wrong again dawson did back him up and even let him stay at his house since he could not go home.
Don't forget the finale scene: "just being in love you is enough for me. so you're off the hook". That's how selfless he is, he just want Joey happy and deeply in love the way he's in love with her even if the man isn't him 🥺
Yup, he never gave her ultimatums or tried to guilt trip her into being with him! Her happiness was more important than his!
YES HE DID, HE DID IT ALL THE TIME, HE TOLD HER HE LEAVEING THE STATE IF SHE DOES NOT PICK me, HE TOLD HER ALL YEAR ANYTIME SHE DID SOMETHING HE DID NOT LIKE HE LIKE YOU WOULD NOT DO THIS FOR DAWSON, HE GASLIGHTED HER FOR A YEAR,
then after sleeping with her break up her in the worse way and then tell her he will not be her freind.
so yea pacey was far worse then dawson.
@@stevemyopinion423 You really are obsessed, aren't you. People like Pacey; live with it. And you yelling isn't going to change anyone's mind.
Standing up to the teacher, and calling out his father.
Yes, Pacey at his best, in both cases! The father scene ALWAYS makes me emotional, especially since he's in a coma at the time, so can't respond to his son's pleas. 😢💔
The part where he spits at the teacher’s face, was so over the top dramatic 😂.
You are forgetting that he sacrificed his reputation to save Tamara’s.
And he was only 15.
That’s when I fell in love with his character !
Ya, but that was wrong. He was "15", and didn't know better. She was literally a child predator. She was in her late 30s having s*x with a literal 15-year-old. I really hoped she would face the consequences of doing what she did.
best pacey speech is in the final season when him and joey are stuck in the supermarket and he tells her that he wants to kiss her all the time, "especially when he is arguing with her"
That was my favourite episode of the whole show. He was so good!
So cute aw

that is toxic as hell
In the final episode when he told Joey he was letting her off the hook. I love when he says that the simple act of being in love with her is enough
When I rediscovered the show as it was ending I was going through a really rough time in my life including separation from my now ex-wife, losing my dad . That speech helped me to learn to start letting go when I can't have who I want in my life.
All of his little love monologues are great. There wasn’t one I hated but then again I just loved Pacey with Joey. Even just Pacey, he was great.

I can't chose one, but my opinion will always be that Pacey is 100% better than Dawson , I'm so happy Pacey and Joey ended up together.
I wanted pacey and Andy to get back together

Dawson never seems to doubt his relationship with Joey and never really tries to understand her.
pacey like her after he spyed on her getting changed, sorry that does not make him a good guy.
and if you going to blame dawson for not realizing he loved her, then you have to blame joey for not like pacey you cant have a double standards.
and dawson dated her first, and pacey lied about it,
you wrong, he did see joey, he was not dismissive of her art he did not like one peice, like dawson said that no different then when we fight over a moive,
as for her dad, he ran deeper into a fire to save her dad, he talk to joey about turning her dad in, SO her dad would get less jail time. even her dad said DAWSON was right.
and for him turning her down, SHE TOLD HIM i never want to see you again, would you trust her after that, he was heart broken, she was in the wrong.
his dad he was haveing a break down, and joey even said she did not wnat to be there any way.
and again no he did not make her the other women, since she was not his girlfriend, so everything you said is worng.
And their relationship.

and because Grams became epic she went from the most judgmental to the one adult that every one of the group eventually came to rely on....except Dawson.
Wacky fan theory but I think that in The Creek Dawson's going to write Colby off the show at some point and make it a love letter to Pacey and Joey.

when i started viewing dawson creek ...it pacey caught my attention ..his acting is super special and never stopping since then specially when joey and pacey stuck in the pond for snail hunt project ..starting to like joey and thier love for each other.. what a sweetest scene when pacey loves each girfriends..how honest loving and treat them so special to his heart..the best part is when joey and pacey loves for each other shared ..ican't help...i ve seen it 20 more times ...pacey joey the best in this movie...now my favorite actor is joshua jackson and katie homes...love them both
So I missed watching this originally first time round when it was on tv, must have just been because it was on a weird channel I didn't have at the time and I watched it all on Netflix and the anti-prom scene had me dying... Had me SOBBING and saying I remember everything constantly. MY GOD. He is such a dream.
The part in season 1 where he takes Joey to see her dad in prison. That is another good example of how truly amazing Pacey is!
She asked him just because he have a car! Joey don't care at all about Pacey in season 1, she think he was an idiot and a pig.
Just started watching Dawson's creek and I'm in love with Pacey.
"I remember everything" at the top, YES
I agree!
I don't about you guys but the scene where he helps Andy's mother out of the grocery store in S2 E8 was really when I fell in love with Pacey.
The show should have been named Pacey's Creek. He was the real protagonist.
It's not true at all!
@@VNn2023 it's an opinion, not a fact, know the difference?
I will love Pacey forever, the best character in the series, I was glad that he stayed with Joey in the end, thanks for this video
I like this little debate thanks for responding 😊
I believe Dawson was always a great friend but with Joey he was just too possessive for my taste.
BTW it’s now on Netflix 😊
Omg how did when Pacey helped Andies mum in the supermarket not get on the list
Right? So sweet!!!
Honorable mention:
when he talked to college guys for joey
helped joey retake english test
off the hook speech
In love bites he came back to dance with joey even though his heart was broken.
Left new year party to console Dawson's ex girlfriend.
" I remember everything"
One of the best scenes ever on that show!
I loved the fact he stuck up for Jack and what he believes in ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
I love Pacey. I wish such a man like him existed in my life. He was probably my first ever teen drama crush and watched the show mostly for him.
Joshua and Katie have so much chemistry screen I love it 10 out of 10
We noticed Pacey/Joshua Jackson's acting right off whether he's acting on Dawson's Creek or at the many movies he has been in!
Joey: you bought me a wall??
Pacey: not bought, rented
Joey: ... YOu BouGht Me a WaLL!?!?!
You're off the hook speech is the best of all!
Pacey really was the best guy ever. I was sooo happy him and Joey ended up together
The “What makes you care so much?” conversation with Mitch is Top Ten. As well as the “I got in Dawson’s rowboat” scene from the season 3 premiere. More subtle but more rewarding
yes best countdown ever... he is my favorite!! so glad its on netflix so everyone can see how amazing he is and how he was meant for joey!!
He always knew his brother was gay before his brother knew! Insight
I watched this from day one! I was and will forever be a Pacey fan. He is who I compared all my future relationships against. Now I’ve been married for 20 years, and I admit Pacey still gives me butterflies 🦋
AntiProm and Joey's mom's bracelet. "I remember everything". The best moment.
Loved these two together! This guy is a great actor!
YEP. He is the reason why I'm watching Dawson's Creek in 2021. Can I hear an Amem?
Amen! I'm watching the series again. I have no idea how many times I've seen it, but I usually come back to it for Pacey. Though I do love some platonic Jen and Jack wholesomeness.
Dawson and Joey deserved each other, Pacey deserved better
I think there should be a list for Jen. Her and Pacey were my favorites ❤️
I was having such a bad day, I NEEDED THIS THANK YOU
Pacey was and will always be the best character of this show. 9-year-old me instantly liked him the first time she got a glimpse of him on tv and two decades later, when I finally decided to properly watch the show, I was very happy to know that she had had good taste for a kid 😂
i'm still binge watching Dawson's Creek On Netflix
Same I’ve watched the whole show and once it came out on Netflix I was like “time to rewatch it”
Honestly same 😂✋
Why in the holy crap am I crying? I really miss Pacey's Creek 😢
Oh and also... this list could go on and on. There are way too many amazing moments.
#2 all time favorite. Definitely gave me unrealistic expectations. “You can’t say something like that and not expect me to kiss you” 😌
Mine is the bracelet speech at the prom. Love, just love
My 2nd was in the Kmart. I still can't get enough of Pacey
"I'm gonna kiss you now" what Joshua Jackson could say to me...but...too late now, he's married with a baby daughter 😭 😭😭 Fringe was a great show too.
I think at least one moment with Audrey should have been included, and the episode where he and Joey get trapped overnight in the store and she shaves off his beard and tells her how he still feels. 🥰
Why is this list only focused on the first 3 seasons?
he was glowing in the earlier seasons
Because the first three seasons were the best!
Less spoilers for the end? *shrugs*
