July 2024 Update: We made the Thor300 more resilient and the Logic and POwer boards are now soldered together and siliconed to ensure it is beginner friendly. Moreover, you only need 5 bolts to assemble it! Therefore the mounting/ assembly section in the beginnining can be skipped.
@@jernejfajdiga322 I came from pc, where if there isn’t thermal paste between the cpu and heat sink the computer will blue screen. Where I like to ride (ambient 90-100F, uphill) I want to have all the thermal conductivity headroom I can get.
@@jernejfajdiga322 I am wondering if they are using Silicon carbide for power electronics! When the GT came out riding on 90f ambient would overheated the motor easily, I was thinking they needed heat pipe to pull heat out of the stator faster. I hope next generation superflux comes with better thermal solutions. I don’t see company innovating on that.
you should add what connectors size and pin count for people who need to order those parts as not everyone purchases a complete box. add the links in your description and bingo bango
I have a Pint that I am planning on replacing the controller of with a VESC controller, and am considering the Thor300. Will my stock Pint lights plug into this and function just fine? Or will I need to modify the connector or replace the LEDs altogether?
Shipment update is at the end of the video :D Red and black boxes allmostttt our the door. Before 15 April all should ship. Cast and purple/orange boxes will ship 30 April.
@@Fungineers are all of the black and red boxes sold out? i would change from purple to whatever is available if i can get the box sooner, site said black and red sold out, also said purple would ship 30 March not April

What thermal paste should I use ?
thermal paste is not required. the thermal conductivity is so good that we don't need thermal paste for onewheels.

From my experience on Thor300 and superflux HT the HT will overheat before Thor300. (Thor300 is lid mounted without thermal paste).

@@wayofflow955 Haha If you can overheat superflux HT then congrats. I tested it on all steepest hill that I found and no success on overheating it 🤣
