      Dude, please don't be sorry for putting out quality content. I wish more youtubers would be like you. Id rather have quality than quantity. Its unfortunate however that quantity is rewarded more on youtube :(

    • @FrinksmovementTV
      @FrinksmovementTV  3 года назад +2

      Yeah but don't worry, im not gonna be this channel. I just love making these videos, and apart from providing you guys with information I actually fulfill myself artistically. Far more important than views for me, especially now when there is a couple of you and i know i talk to someone not to myself ;)

      bro, really stay with your quality, we love it

    • @emiki6
      @emiki6 3 года назад +1

      Always take your time, it's necessary for this quality. Frequency does not worth it, we can and we will wait. Low frequency and high amplitude is the best. Around 5-15 (max 20) video / year is the best in this format. Keep the quality and forget the quantity. Forget everything and do what you enjoy and like, that is the best you can do for us too! Thank you!

    Basicall you could do
    Day 1:
    Skill Shoulders(Handstand)
    Strength Pull(Weighed Pullups(5-8))
    Hypertrophy Push(Ring Pushups 8-12)
    Day 2:
    Skill Push(Planche Work)
    Strength Shoulders(Overheadpress 5-8)
    Hypertrophy Pull(Weighted Pullups 8-12)
    Day 3:
    Skill Pull(Frontlever)
    Strength Push(Weighted Dips 5-8)

    To the muscle building part:
    I'm training with the multiplier method detailed in Matteo Spinazzola's book: 1 set/exercise/every other workout, set until failure and beyond, high reps (depending on the load), part ROM (for now, for some exercises), Alternating 3 different loads ("periodisation" only on a weekly scale). Etc. Using only calisthenics.
    One thing is for sure, I don't know if I ever built muscle this fast, (also the repetitions are truly multiplying in just 1-3 weeks and so the strength improves too, because I have to raise the loads relative frequently). I want to say, that it's surprisingly easy to build muscle with basic calisthenics exercises inspite that I struggled for years with muscle building.
    I highly recommend his book, it's mainly about the mental part of life and training.
    Also, the X3 bar's system is using the 1 set/exercise/every other workout approach too, with 15-40 reps, no periodisation, mostly compound exercises (loaded by rubber bands), full (and part) ROM and in terms of muscle building (and bone density and connective tissue), people have very good results with it. (also only 15 min/workout). So if we think about what builds muscle, there may be approaches, that seems counterproductive, but are probably superior (depending on the circumstances).
    Great video! This is the content, that we truly need.

    • @FrinksmovementTV
      @FrinksmovementTV  3 года назад +1

      Thank you for the comment! Matteo's approach is very interesting. I did not read it but its interesting to me that he touches uppon mental side as well

    • @emiki6
      @emiki6 3 года назад

      @@FrinksmovementTV in the first 3/4 of the book, he wrote about his experiences in life and training, his believes and theories, all of it is about the mental aspect (and philosophy). After that, he describes his methods. The Multiplier method has a very big mental part in it (and for that, the first 3/4 of the book is necessary, because the multiplier's mental part is crazy! I laughed out loud when I first read it, because it' absurdity. :D )
      IMO the book is very useful because it's independent of the conventional ideas (and skeptic about them too), it talks about what almost nobody talk about, thus it's very valuable. It opens up our way of thinking in some areas.

    Your videos are super informative and helpful. Have you thought about publishing a book for calisthenic athletes?

      @@FrinksmovementTV oh I see, you still have to finish it! Okay I look forwards to that then! It is incredible comprehensive, I’m actually impressed. I would like to do smth similar but for other disciplines like beatboxing or piano bc I’m a musician. Anyways, yeah I wanted to start calisthenics bc I love the movement, the skills and the grace of everything, it really inspires me. Plus I have always been skinny, athletic and agile, I really like sports. But yeah I don’t know what to do because I started hitting the gym, bc I want to build some muscle mass first, but now that I am doing that I would like to do 50/50 split of weights and calisthenics, that’s why I ended up in your channel. The only thing I need is an exercise index with every calisthenic movement there is, specially the most basic/intermediate ones. From there with your videos I can manage myself and do the rest. But I have been searching for hours for an exercise index for all calisthenic movements and I didn’t find anything

      @@toothless2323 So, I think I know what you mean.
      What is your current level? If its beginner I would say you don't need as many exercises and your program should look rather simple. For example, you can scale push ups with incline/decline positions and at some point transition to pike push ups and dips plus add weight to the push up. You can also go and add planche/handstand elements further on
      With Pull its similar. You can start with Australian pull up variations and then transition to pull ups/chin ups or do them assisted. Then start adding some weight for them and t some point starting to add one arm pull up variations.
      Anyways, not sure the answer you have been looking for but Im open to elaborate if anything is not clear. If you are really having trouble with finding anything, I do offer consultations or programming on my website. With one of these services I would show you everything step by step frinksmovement.com/coaching/
