I agree 100% with this. The problem with some kickass female chick flicks is that some of them get caught up in highlighting the female part, but they forget the kickass part. This movie seemed like a movie about regular ass girls who hijacked the real angels layer, which would have made for a great movie if that were the case, but unfortunately its just false advertisement....

I work at a theater. I saw the poster, but never knew when it was supposed to release. It just showed up on the Box Office one day and nobody noticed or cared because Ford v Ferrari (a great movie, btw) took all the attention over the weekend.
I love the 2000s Charlie’s Angels because it was on purposely not serious, but fun and playful. It was a really good movie for that time. And I enjoy the dumb plots and scenes. The new CA should have been more updated perhaps. The same thing happen with the new ocean’s 11, that genre was a thing of the past. Andre I love your reviews ! You are the best !!! Xxx
I completely agree with you that actors/actresses get too much hate for being in bad franchises. Dakota Johnson was in the Fifty Shades series, but she was fantastic in Bad Times at the El Royale and The Peanut Butter Falcon! Robert Pattinson was in Twilight, but he was fantastic in The Lighthouse, and I'm personally excited to see him as Batman!
I definitely agree with you about looking forward to Pattinson as Batman. Outside of Twilight, he's a pretty good actor, and he's definitely got the look to be Bruce Wayne. Like Andre himself said here, everyone's gotta start somewhere, and having a breakout role be in something as big as the Twilight series turned out to be isn't that bad of a place to start. Yea, his performance wasn't great there, but that's on the director(s) as no one's performances were that great in that series.

Do all Space Dramas have something similar at their baseline, yes! There is still a difference between say Star Wars, Star Trek, and Battlestar Galactica.

But then, the first credit scene rolls up, and everyone stopped what they were doing to look back on the screen. Because of how you said, how nobody was noticing that there is two after credit scenes lol.
It's sounds like the actors got to have some fun making the movie...which makes me want to give it a try.....but it sounds like the writers only halfway committed to the project. I don't care if it's a reboot. The story has to be good! The after credit scene sounds VERY interesting, btw. A training arc would have gave me Kingsman vibes, but it still sounds so new and fresh.
I feel like I'm the only one who really, really loved this movie. Like yes, the plot is really dumb. But man, it was the stupid wacky comedy I need. And I hate that it wasn't commercialized like that. But then again, I was exited to get another Charlie's Angels movie.

Djimon Hounsou survived Beauty Shop, and he was important to the plot, and he even got the girl! Don't forget, the 70s and movies based on TV shows were popular in the 90s, those two movies were likely to happen eventually. Regardless, I agree about the casting. I wanted to see the 2000 movie because I was a fan of all three women, but the only reason I know about this one and who's in it is because of this review...and I'm still meh about it. Maybe if it's on Netflix. Which the first two movies are and THEY STILL KICK ASS.
I swear people who complain about Kristen Stewart's acting haven't seen her in any other movies SINCE Twilight 🙄. She's a decent actress. Not Oscar-worthy, and she has been mis-casted a few times, but shes not as bad as people make her out to be. There are numerous other actresses who are waaaay worse than her but still get casted (like that one chick from the "Blurred Lines" video. I can't even be bothered to remember her name...)

And also, the way how you describe the after credit scenes. I haven’t heard of a movie that has two after credit scenes. I heard of one, but two sounds surprising to me. I can’t help but get reminded of that time, when I saw one of the shrek films in a packed theater, everyone is trying to leave cause its over. But then, the first credit scene rolls up, and everyone stopped what they were doing to look back on the screen. Because of how you said, how nobody was noticing that there is two after credit scenes lol.
It's sounds like the actors got to have some fun making the movie...which makes me want to give it a try.....but it sounds like the writers only halfway committed to the project. I don't care if it's a reboot. The story has to be good! The after credit scene sounds VERY interesting, btw. A training arc would have gave me Kingsman vibes, but it still sounds so new and fresh.

Don't forget, the 70s and movies based on TV shows were popular in the 90s, those two movies were likely to happen eventually. Regardless, I agree about the casting. I wanted to see the 2000 movie because I was a fan of all three women, but the only reason I know about this one and who's in it is because of this review...and I'm still meh about it. Maybe if it's on Netflix. Which the first two movies are and THEY STILL KICK ASS.

She's a decent actress. Not Oscar-worthy, and she has been mis-casted a few times, but shes not as bad as people make her out to be. There are numerous other actresses who are waaaay worse than her but still get casted (like that one chick from the "Blurred Lines" video. I can't even be bothered to remember her name...)
