So silly to see all the guys on talk shows when the Bills win big and all they talk about are the Chiefs and bring up Allen's mistakes. This was touted as the BIGGEST game ever BEFORE Bills won and now oh it was oh, fun game...or ho hum but not a playoff. The defense got TWO pivotal interceptions off of Mahomes bookended first play and last play. Thanks for some kudos for Allen.
The Bills offense against the Chiefs in the playoffs has been better than the regular season. The issue is the defense gives up 15 more points (35) to the Chiefs in the playoffs. It's hard to beat any team you give up 35 to.
They called a retired linebacker in from vacationing with his family to start the game against the KC in the playoffs last year. They were dealing with injuries on the defensive side of the ball to put it mildly.
@@seanbeck3042it's January in a game that has a 100% injury rate. Every team has injuries. The Bills were missing Milano, Bernard, Hyde, Miller, Tray White....that's 4 allpros and a probowler on defence.
I'm a Bills fan and I am not going to say Allen will win. Lamar played great in their head to head and they need to win against the Lions in convincing fashion. Goff is also playing at an MVP level.
Chiefs fan and I agree. I’ve always been critical of Allen in the past simply due to his decision-making, but he’s completely evolved and he looks unstoppable. All of this Burrow and Lamar stuff over the years has been silly. When Allen plays his best, it’s just as good as Mahomes best. I have a sneaking suspicion that the Bills are going to beat the Chiefs in January this year.
@mjamitche5245 hello? Don't care about that. I only made the statement because they didn't remember that when they mentioned the guys from the Bills who missed the game.
Interesting take that the game seemed closer than the score. Allen throws a bad INT on 4th down but they were likely giving the ball to KC anyway- Conner then had a big return that led to a KC score. KC really didn’t move the ball well overall. Obviously on one drive they couldn’t be stopped, but you could make a case that game wasn’t as close as the score
We have a Josh Allen. He can do things Patrick Mahomes can't do. Allen's better than Mahomes. And now that we stopped trying to validate a diva-cum-drop artist, and another 2nd flat-out drop artist, and we have working man personalities up and down the roster, and a working man's game plan and ability to win that way....I'd like to run back the Ravens and Texans games now that we're a little healthier (and oh btw yesterday we were down Kincaid and Coleman, as well as RT Spencer Brown, and Dawkins missed a few plays too). I told people that Super Bowl was possible if the youth stepped up, which much of it has, as well as vets and the Cooper trade. And here we are I was expecting 11 or 12 wins with a peak of 14 and basement of 9 and we're obviously up to that basement and looking like we can beat just about anybody. Hope we're cleaned up mistake-wise and even more lethal and efficient on both sides come playoffs. We don't seem like we're wasting all of our steam either :: this doesn't feel like it's going to fall apart,.cuz we keep seeing the games won in a number of different ways. I think the thing to take away from all of it, the Allen scramble for the win. Yes amazing. Yes, the defense picked zone and showed the same look earlier and played man. The pump fake is awesome as well. It's really all about, McDermott decided that it was better to ride or die with Allen instead of kicking the FG and Mahomes has over 2 min. Bad combo. What I think you are missing with Josh on some of the late missed throws, and maybe it didn't register to you, but somehow he hurt his throwing hand. I'm not even sure what happened, but it was shortly after that he under threw that wide open deep ball. Hopefully it was just a minor issue.
I’m not sure that’s what happened last year- Buffalo winning the regular season match because KC used vanilla plays, only to pull out the “real plays” in the playoffs. Buffalo’s D was decimated in the playoffs, even playing a LB who was sitting on his couch the whole time. Buffalo was without 5 starters on D, and didn’t have superstar defensive players to compensate. That’s the reason why Kelce suddenly looked like an all-pro again in the game
