North Korean leader Kim Jong-un has issued fresh threats on South Korea, saying that he has the legal right to “wipe out” South Korea. Kim’s comments were made at an event marking the anniversary of the founding of North Korea’s military on February 8, 2024. The remarks came one day after North Korea’s parliament voted to scrap all economic cooperation with the South, in a further blow to inter-Korea ties.
