Disney doesn't want to tell a Star Wars story, they want to tell their director's/writer's personal stories in a Star Wars universe. Despite Sol being the heart and soul of the show, him and the other male characters always get put down or put in place by the strong female characters. Jecki was particularly annoying and I was actually happy when she finally died... I also wasn't alone in this. What kind of writers create the heroes to be hated such that people clap and cheer when they die?
As for breaking canon, they didn't have to make "sith" characters, they could have simply created dark side users and that would have been fine. They also only needed to do a quick Google search to confirm that Ki Adi Mundi wouldn't have been alive at that time. It's weird that they would include him of all people as a cameo, considering what he said about the Sith in the prequels. There's also been a lot of talk in the past few years about the Jedi being associated with the patriarchy, and many people being against them or wanting to belittle their importance despite them being a force of good in the universe.
I watched the video twice, but am not sure "revolutionized" is the correct word to use... or how you meant to use it? You also brought up House of the Dragon. That had a lot of negativity surrounding it post launch due to how horribly Game of Thrones ended, and changes in the lore to include the black Targaryens. That being said, the writing of the show won a lot of people over, and I hear more people praising it online compared to those deriding it. Unfortunately the same cannot be said for The Acolyte.
This isn't a matter of perspective: this show is terrible. In so many ways.

In Clone Wars, Anakin and Grievous never seen face to face due to a comment in Revenge of the Sith implying that it was the first time they meet. Even during a prisoner exchange when they have been a few meters apart, Anakin was fainted and Grievous tied down and could see only the sky.
Yet, this show fails to check established facts in the canon before shooting a scene. This is not nitpicking. Blatant lore breaking and failing to understand the Jedi philosophy just shows how less the producers cares about Star Wars.
Thank God its not the Skywalker Saga its 200 years before. Its finally a Something different.

Oh God! How I hate the STAR WARS fandom sometimes! A series like "The Andor" is overrated to the worst degree and a series like "The Acolyte" generates unnecessary nitpicking. NITPICKING! I'm beginning to suspect that many of the franchise's fans wouldn't know a good, bad or mediocre production if it hit them in their collective faces, because they're too busy judging everything, based on their own damn biases.
How is Andor overrated? HUH "Andor was critically acclaimed and consistently ranked first in the top ten on numerous publications' "Best of 2022" lists for television series, including that of IGN, Polygon, USA Today, Vulture, and Empire, among others. Numerous publications also considered Andor the best Star Wars TV show, including The Times, The Guardian and Vulture" More than 50 nominations across the board since release, won 6 out of 50...i just don't get ppl like you, how tf can you say its overrated??? TO THE WORST DEGREE WTF DOES THAT EVEN MEAN icant with these ppl seriously i just cant
@@ZoldZsoltWhat the fuck are you talking about? Why should I care how you or anyone else feel about "Andor"? I don't expect you to care how I feel. I'm supposed to love the show, because it had received a great deal of acclaim? So fucking what? Don't get me wrong. I liked Season One of "Andor". But I don't regard it in such a high degree. And I believe many critics had ignored a good deal of the series' faults.
I’m looking forward to the Mandalorian movie as well as Ahsoka season 2, the animated stuff, and Jedi 3 and I also plan to watch Andor but I’m not that excited for anything else

Disney have Made some of the best Animated films of all time. But their Star Wars Material Ruin a Great universe of Epic Stories To Much BLA BLA Nonsense from the World today, I Thank Disney for A Lot of Things. But Not Their take on Star Wars I Hate IT.
