Wonderful interpretation ! I wonder who is the organist and what is the instrument played ? It sounds & looks to me like an italian organ ?

@raphaelmeyer9940 ... The organist is Francois-Henri Houbart (long-time organiste titulaire of this organ) ... The instrument is the Aristide Cavaillé-Coll organ of the Église de la Madeleine (Church of Maria Magdalena) in Paris (Aristide Cavaillé-Coll is the young man displayed @ 4:00) ... And yes, the case of the organ is in renaissance style (like many ancient Italian organs), just like the church, built to resemble an ancient Greek temple (1:12) ...

@timmiller749 ... For all I know, the CD (with all of Liszt´s major organ works: Prelude and Fugue on B-A-C-H ruclips.net/video/vSo5uBE3no0/видео.html, "Ad nos, ad salutarem undam" ruclips.net/video/rU-pKXaqhi0/видео.html and these variations) was issued on the label BNL - Syrius ... However, it would surprise me if the CD is still available ...

@2lipsonmy0rgan ... "... sind des Christen Tränenbrot" ... Liszt wrote this piece (for piano, later adapted for organ) after losing his daughter Blandine, who died at 26 years of age ... The music clearly reflects Liszt´s agony due to this loss, which is however resolved in the final chorale "Was Gott tut, das ist wohl getan" (13:47) ...
