    Thank you! I was just about to read your blog-post about the physical objects system, but this makes it even more comfortable!

    This is a great system. There is a wealth of data related to consumer electronics, vehicles, home consumables, etc. that are the perfect use case for a "second brain". This was exactly what I started using obsidian for, my methodology was much more simplistic and disorganized but your general method is much more usable.

      Honestly, I think that’s the right approach: gather info first and figure out structure/organization next. Too many people get stuck figuring out organization and never actually write or enter real data. So you’re in a good place for figuring out how a system would work best for the info you have already.

    These are all great man. Huge value. I’ve added almost all of these to my vault, and I’m sure excited for your book notes one.

    Another great video, thanks, inspires me to build a physical object system myself 😊hadn't thought of it before 😜

      Thanks! It's super handy to have little notes about the things you own all in one place. There have been numerous times when I've randomly needed a piece of information and was able to grab it quickly from my notes.

    • @MichaelHHeng
      @MichaelHHeng 7 месяцев назад +1

      Yes, just like that! And: You can assign the manuals and always have them to hand!

    • @DannBerg
      @DannBerg  7 месяцев назад +1

      @@MichaelHHeng Exactly! And once you do the work of backfilling the system, it's super easy to keep up-to-date. It's an extra two minutes to create the new note and assign the manual each time you get a new item. I'm so glad it's worked out for you, too.

    Dann, why did you put the title of the note, as link to itself, in [[ ]] brackets? If you already covered about it in another video, I'm sorry then, but I would be thankful for the link to it.

      Good question! This is totally optional, and just something I like:
      1. I want the title/subject of the note there visually, so it's easy to see at-a-glace what page I'm looking at
      2. The title is in brackets [[ ]] so that it automatically updates when I change/update the title of the note. It's a handy little trick I use a bunch.

      @@DannBerg Aha, nice trick! ))
      Thanks for clarification and for your videos, by the way.
