- A lot of people have asked me why I called myself and my channel "Metatron" in this video I will satisfy your curiosity, I'll tell you why I chose this name and who the Metatron is supposed to be and at the end of the video there will be some fun facts about my channel ;) I hope you enjoy it.

GokuInfintysaiyan I know this is very late but Metatron in Judaism served as the Voice of God and the Face of God and was often portrayed as either equal of higher than even Michael due to his position. In fact sometimes he was even referred to as the Lesser YHWH.

Metatron's history is in the Akashic Records, which is the Cosmic Consciousness where the Creator can communicate with those who can hear him.
Well, that's pretty much what he said.
Check out the Books of Enoch, which were part of the Dead Sea scrolls, but is not considered Canonical except in the Ethiopian Bible.
The angels or "gods" in the Heavenly Council are discussed in more detail. The Bible we have today only mentions Michael and Gabriel, both archangels, maybe Azazel too, if I'm not mistaken. There are good and bad angels, but they all originate from Heaven.
It's so interesting, it would be worthwhile checking it out in addition to the Bible.

You know, having written a novel based around Angels and a lore I've created for them inspired by the bible, I've done a fair bit of research into them. I haven't quite heard this take, and I honestly love it. It's a way of respecting religion without necessarily being religious. So glad my 5AM dive down the RUclips rabbit hole brought me here.

I like the idea of you discussing your personal beliefs but I can understand your reservations on it. In my opinion people talking about their own beliefs and how they are different and similar to an others is the first part of true dialogue, and in doing so you gain a greater understanding of that person and of your own belief structure as well. Also a fanatic who believes that others must change to follow their own beliefs do so because they have doubt and the existence of another set of beliefs increases that doubt. I feel this holds to those die hard atheists who feel it necessary to mock, insult and "debunk" religious thought and belief. Very interesting vid.
You should make video about medieval clergy and priesthood, I would love it since I study theology

Don't know if the Metatron (the one in the Heavens) is helping you doing your videos. Fact is, they are really good, and one sees there's a lot of knowledge and intelligence behind them. I'm a happy new subscriber (from Northern Italy, but leaving between Germany and Prague - so, closer to the Golem than to the Metatron, I guess).

Did not know of the depths of the classification of angels. I will most certainly be doing personal research on the topic, as I do with most of the things you talk about.
Very interesting video as usual. I find the history and origins of names very interesting. I decided to look into my names origin because of the part in you're video mentioning names ending in 'el' and found that Daniel means 'God is my judge'. Thanks again for another superb video
In speaking of Metatron, Raphael, Michael, Auriel, Khamiel, etc, the proper term to use is Archangel. You have certainly got the right ideal about Metatron, and may think me to be too punctilious about using the prefix 'Arch'. But as the Archangel of Kether, the first point of Manifestation, it is a Being of supreme power, holiness worthy of the highest respect.

To be honest I wondered about this as well after I started to watch your channel. However at this point, I already knew all that. I got so curious that I did a little research in to it. What you mentioned today I knew for a while. People want to be told information, not many reach out to acquire knowledge for them selves... cheers!!

Same. I am very much against religion in modern society (Note I do respect other peoples believes as long as they do not intervene with those that don't want to have anything to do with it like anti gay practices and stuff) but I too find the "lore' and culture very interesting.
The mere fact that Metatron have an "non-traditionally-angelic" name is exactly what got me curious about him, way before getting to know this channel.

Metatron - I see you have a StarCraft poster. I love StarCraft, i've been playing for nearly 20 years (hard to believe). Are you a huge StarCraft fan? I would assume you are, it seems to be something right up your alley (very high skill ceiling).
I learned about Meteatron from the Shin Megami Tensei RPG series,along with much of my knowledge concerning mythology I'm sad to say.

I have been here from the very start and I must say that I would be very interested in your personal beliefs. Some might say that RUclips should first and foremost be about the content itself and I would have to agree, but I also think there is a natural desire to learn about the presenter of the content and get to know them a little bit as a person.
Don't worry about "forcing" anyone to hear about your personal beliefs. You simply can't. If somebody doesn't want to listen to that particular video, they just.. well, they just won't.
I understand that in some cases the "cult of personality" that forms around some RUclipsrs might cause certain issues, but I also think that this only becomes problematic with large audiences that follow say a journalist or news channel that is very opinionated. I believe this because then a single video can lead to thousands over thousands of fans viciously attacking those who disagree. I would like to believe that the kind of person your channel attracts would be too mature and restrained to do such a thing.
In the meantime, I'm looking forward to learning more from you and sharing your videos and the knowledge contained therein with friends. Carry on, Raph :)

I really like your analysis of the Bible. I read that the Septuagint was probably the first translation of The Bible from Hebrew and Aramaic to Greek and that as a translation reflected the interpretation of the Jewish sages from the third or second century BC at the time of the second Temple.As I understand that was the Bible quoted in the New Testament and was widely used by the early Christians. As I also understand current Jewish Tanak is based on the Masoretic redactions performed during the first 10 centuries AC (AD). It was the period after the destruction of the second Temple (no Temple was available for the ceremonies) and the development of the rabbinic Judaism with the Oral Torah, so Masoretic redaction has to deal with these events and the existence of another religion (Christianity) that also used the same books. There are a few but important differences between the Septuagint translation and the Masoretic redaction. I read that the Septuagint even when is a translation is closer to the Hebrew texts fragments found in the Dead Sea rolls that the Masoretic redaction. I would appreciate if you can discuss about this. Thanks for you work.

Interesting I didn't even know that the metatron was an angel in Judaism I only thought about the cube metatron as a very interesting full of knowledge and sacred geometry for the geek. Thanks for the information. Sometimes I feel like you're wasting a bit of you're knowledge in all those games and war gears analysis but I still find them very much enjoyable.

I always thought metatron was awesome because he is the scribe of God but he is one of the most op Angels. Scribes are keepers and writers of knowledge so it reflects pretty well that knowledge is power. Nice video.

Metatron IS NOT A PART OF THE HEBREW BIBLE, but his name appears briefly in several passages of the Talmud. His legends are predominantly found in mystical Kabbalistic texts. He is variously identified as the Prince (or Angel) of the Presence, as Michael the archangel, or as Enoch after his bodily ascent into heaven.
I hear you on respect, but it shouldn't be a given. Respect should be given only to beliefs worthy of respect. Respect the person by all means, but don't ever feel you have to respect their beliefs.
