  • Corianton asks his father, Alma the younger, how to repent. Alma tells him that Jesus Christ will come into the world to take away our sins. Alma talks about the Resurrection of Jesus Christ. All will be resurrected because of the Savior.
    www.churchofje...
    Based on Alma 39:15; Alma 40:1-2, 4, 21, 23, 25-26; Alma 41:3-4, 6-7, 10, 14.
    Alma 39
15 And now, my son, I would say somewhat unto you concerning the coming of Christ. Behold, I say unto you, that it is he that surely shall come to take away the sins of the world; yea, he cometh to declare glad tidings of salvation unto his people.
    Alma 40
1 Now my son, here is somewhat more I would say unto thee; for I perceive that thy mind is worried concerning the resurrection of the dead.
2 Behold, I say unto you, that there is no resurrection-or, I would say, in other words, that this mortal does not put on immortality, this corruption does not put on incorruption-until after the coming of Christ.
4 Behold, there is a time appointed that all shall come forth from the dead. Now when this time cometh no one knows; but God knoweth the time which is appointed.
21 But whether it be at his resurrection or after, I do not say; but this much I say, that there is a space between death and the resurrection of the body, and a state of the soul in happiness or in misery until the time which is appointed of God that the dead shall come forth, and be reunited, both soul and body, and be brought to stand before God, and be judged according to their works.
23 The soul shall be restored to the body, and the body to the soul; yea, and every limb and joint shall be restored to its body; yea, even a hair of the head shall not be lost; but all things shall be restored to their proper and perfect frame.
25 And then shall the righteous shine forth in the kingdom of God.
26 But behold, an awful death cometh upon the wicked; for they die as to things pertaining to things of righteousness; for they are unclean, and no unclean thing can inherit the kingdom of God; but they are cast out, and consigned to partake of the fruits of their labors or their works, which have been evil; and they drink the dregs of a bitter cup.
    Alma 41
3 And it is requisite with the justice of God that men should be judged according to their works; and if their works were good in this life, and the desires of their hearts were good, that they should also, at the last day, be restored unto that which is good.
4 And if their works are evil they shall be restored unto them for evil. Therefore, all things shall be restored to their proper order, every thing to its natural frame-mortality raised to immortality, corruption to incorruption-raised to endless happiness to inherit the kingdom of God, or to endless misery to inherit the kingdom of the devil, the one on one hand, the other on the other-
6 And so it is on the other hand. If he hath repented of his sins, and desired righteousness until the end of his days, even so he shall be rewarded unto righteousness.
7 These are they that are redeemed of the Lord; yea, these are they that are taken out, that are delivered from that endless night of darkness; and thus they stand or fall; for behold, they are their own judges, whether to do good or do evil.
10 Do not suppose, because it has been spoken concerning restoration, that ye shall be restored from sin to happiness. Behold, I say unto you, wickedness never was happiness.
14 Therefore, my son, see that you are merciful unto your brethren; deal justly, judge righteously, and do good continually; and if ye do all these things then shall ye receive your reward; yea, ye shall have mercy restored unto you again; ye shall have justice restored unto you again; ye shall have a righteous judgment restored unto you again; and ye shall have good rewarded unto you again.

I truly felt the spirit during this video because I love how it was talking about how if we just have faith and keep the commandments and be a good person in this life, we will be able to go live with him again. I love all of the Book of Mormon Videos, it gives a good summary on what the book of mormon chapters are all about.

    I love the reminder that:
"... But, if they have repented of their sins, and desired righteousness until the end of their days, even so, they shall be rewarded unto righteousness."
I love this hopeful message and the Hope and Courage we can have in the Cleansing and Enabling Power of the Atonement of Jesus Christ.
There are so many times when I fall off the track,as it were, but whenever I watch a General Conference talk or hear something like this, I try to turn around and refocus. I am so grateful for the opportunity I still have to turn back to Jesus Christ and God the Father.
I am grateful for the many chances I have to turn back as well as ask Them for help to live in the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

This I know is true. There is so much to gain and understand by having faith to follow these teachings. The book does a great job to reveal the dark works of the great and abominable church which try to persuade us away from this.

It has been a little while since the last video came out, but I can highly recommend the novelization of the videos that's available! It comes in a blue cover with gold lettering.

Well, fine, but what are the rules behind this game of rack a mole? What defines Goodness and Wickedness? So far, all we've heard are vague references to those two things,, BUT THEY ARE NEVER EXPLAINED. So, nobody, and probably not even Alma, knows enough to say. And in the absence of such knowledge people can place their own interpretations and then say, "I know. Follow me.", a lot like what Alma is doing here and not a very good job of it either. So, where may that definition be found? Well, not out of Alma's mouth, but rather the Savior's. He said that the definition was contained inside of only two laws: Thou shalt love thy God with all of thy being, and the second was like unto it: Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself. Period. Period. Period. Did you get that Alma? Did the Angel mention that to you at some point? Even the very thought of Jesus was enough to remove the pangs of lawful sin from your heart but it was supposed to be replaced by Love, not the Law again. Opps.

Hint: if you want eternal life, seek Goodness. Wickedness will always lead to death. The Savior is the way to overcome otherwise imminent death.

Alma is a copy from ap.Paul. Ap was great man, apostle and Evangelist... your teachings are today Good to all man, that receive Jesus... But one thing I know: Ap. Paul Existed, but this "profect" Alma not. I Believe in the bible, and it is enought to know about God and your great plan to save all mans from your sins. I invite you to read the bible because it is true... and it alone. Turn back your hearts to Jesus... and He gonna live inside of you...

I read the Bible; as true as it is, it is lacking still. Why else would there be multitudes of churches who use the same source just to argue one’s claims? Which one will ascend further in truth if there is no further truth to give?

My Brother the Bible is truly the word of god, the Book of Mormon is also the word of god. Without the Bible, or what is considered the Torah...ie first five Books of Moses, The people in the Book of Mormon would not have had the laws of god to follow. I love the New Testament, it is the teachings of Jesus Christ, our savior and redeemer. These books testify together of Christ’s True mission as savior to the world. They confound all truth when they are used together. God Bless your faith, for these days people lack faith. God bless you, I wish you the best. I also invite you to read, the Book of Mormon: Another Testament of Jesus Christ, and find out for yourself if it contradicts the Bible’s teachings. I know both books are true. :)

@@orsonc.badger7421 Well said. When we add the truths found in both accounts of the Bible and Book of Mormon, both of them become easy to understand, even in the more vague parts, which would include this section of scripture where Alma doesn't clearly define everything. Everything had been explained before by prophets in all places and across all ages. Thanks for your comments my friend.
