- Major League Baseball at a minor league stadium? Hell yeah! Last month, when the Toronto Blue Jays were forced to move their home games to Sahlen Field in Buffalo, New York, I decided I needed to be there. Even though I wouldn't be able to get inside, I wanted to see what it was like outside the ballpark. Would I at least be able to see inside? Could I find a way to snag a baseball that reached the street? It turned out to be a VERY cool experience. This video (filmed by Chris Yon on August 14, 2020) shows how it all went down.

stadium is sick..legal gambling casino within walking distance too! Concerts all over..Lake erie and canalside...Summer with MLB might have Buffalo a top 5 city in the US during the summer

I haven't lived in Buffalo for a while so I'm not sure if the U.S. and Canadian flags have always been there around the stadium, but that's pretty standard all over Buffalo. Especially in downtown. Dual U.S. and Canadian flags are everywhere. Even in front of city hall. Strangely, once you cross the Peace Bridge from downtown Buffalo, NY into Ft. Erie, ON Canada, the dual flags just disappear. Buffalo loves its connection with Canada. It doesn't seem to be reciprocated on the other side of the border...at least flag wise.
I think that's because a lot of Canadians go to Buffalo/western New York/Erie, PA for shopping (cheaper prices at least when the dollar is/was at par lol) while not alot of Americans venture up into Canada considering only 30% of Americans have passports...they also play the Canadian anthem at Sabres games...

@@jona8418 nope only in buffalo in canada and when a canadian team is the road team (in the bubble during this pandemic its played at every game but under normal.circumstances only when as outlined above)

I just about grew up in Angel Stadium. Never got close to catching a foul ball. I still wish that I could-it is exciting when one comes close! Of course, my enthusiasm is tempered when I remember hearing about how Manny Mota killed a girl with his foul ball. What a tragedy for the fan and the player! Kids follow Zack’s instructions. its worth the trip as a baseball fan in the summer..Summers in Buffalo are hard to beat...And Niagara Falls is 15 mins away.....Ive lived all over i will take buffalo in the summer over anywhere else

The reason why the Toronto Blue Jays had to play their home games at Sahlen Field this 2020 season is because the Canadian government denied premssion playing their games at Rogers Centre because of repeated travels of crossing the border and spreading the Coronavirus to other players in Canada while also receiving it. Sahlen Field is normally home to the Buffalo Bisons Triple-A Minor League Baseball Team

Congrats Zack! I have been to all 30 current parks(as an Indians fan living in San Diego) as I finished up with number 30 in Miami last year. I was at the game where Kluber got drilled up the middle and broke his arm. Counting old parks not currently in use I am at about 38 parks. One of my highlights was catching the 1st Padres home run at Petco Park on Apr. 15, 2004 in section 130, row 2 seat 9. Mark Loretta hit it off of Dodgers Hideo Nomo in the bottom of the 1st. I was supposed to be at Globe Life Field in Arlington in June to watch the Tribe vs Rangers but got screwed by Covid 19. Had to also cancel 4 spring training games in Arizona as well as trips to LA, Anaheim, Cleveland and Wrigley...sucks. Keep the faith and we will have fans at baseball games soon.
You should go to the Durham Bulls Athletic Park in Durham, NC. The ballpark may not have pro baseball but it’s a really cool park. Its also got a ginormous bull that lights up, emits smoke and moves its tail for home runs and wins. It’s also only a few minutes away from the Durham Athletic Park where the iconic Bull Durham movie was filmed
