I had the same issue, try running the decrypt program off your desktop if you haven’t already. It solved my issue relatively easily

hello. I don't know if I did something wrong, but I followed all the steps, deleted the save, deleted the update and it didn't work :(
What do I after put the randomized game on the Sd card? It’s not like it just boots into the game when you turn it on right
Assuming you have the luma settings enabled, just load up the game like you normally would

So after you put the mod into the title folder when you start the game the mod will just be applied?

Hey, I'm having a problem with this where I follow all the steps, but when I plug the SD card into the 3ds it either gives me an error screen or doesn't loud the randomizer. Do you know how to fix this issue?

make sure to download the right version of java, check what bit you have 32 or 64 then download whatever version you have

im trying to do it on ultra sun but every time i try, i do the steps exactly but it dosent work
if you have any game updates installed make sure you uninstalled them. some other people were having issues with that

With da games is a little bit different. You don't need to dumb the games. Insteat you just open the rom itself the file with the .nds ending. Then make your randomize options and with saving that either the itself is randomized or it creates a new randomized rom. Haven't done it for some time so I'm not entirely sure. Then after it's randomized just copy the rom to your sd or start it per emulator. It's the same for gba games

Try installing the CIA of the game with FBI and see if that helps. I was able to get carts working but I know it works a bit better with installed copies
I had to delete the update data for the game to make it work
@@RAVtech Thank you for the suggestion. As it turned out, the problem was that I forgot that I updated the game to see if that was the problem for why the method used by the4thgengamer wasn't working. Again thank you for the helpful video.

I did this with ultra moon on a cartridge but it keeps crashing when I open it. I did delete the dump of the game off of my 3ds sd card. Do I need to keep that?

I'm getting an error when booting up the game, "Error type: generic" anybody know how to fix this?
I had the same issue but fixed it, here's what I did.
Open up FBI go to Titles, then go to the game you're trying to randomize click on it, then click Import Seed. If this doesn't work and says failed to import seed then keep reading.
Go to hshop on your computer and search up the game you're trying to randomize for me it was Ultra Moon scroll down to the bottom of the page you will see Download seed for FBI, create a folder named FBI on the root of your sd card and create a folder named seed inside of it. Put the .dat file inside of the seed folder, eject your sd card, put it back in your 3ds, and go to FBI; titles; your game; import seed and it should successfully import and your randomizer should work.

Yes you can, use the same randomizer and then put them into twilight menu

for the DS games all you have to do is randomize and put it in the roms folder, then run it normally

I'm honestly not sure where I went wrong. I've done it correctly as in your video, and both times it didn't work. I can't seem to figure out where the issue is. Am I supposed to delete the save data and then dump it as a .cia and then randomize it?
I did it off a freshly downloaded alpha sapphire so it might have to be fresh, also if you have the update downloaded for the pokemon game make sure to delete it. Then dump it as a cia, run it through the decrypt tool (try running on desktop that’s how I did it), and then randomize it but make sure you have java 64bit installed or the randomizer won’t run

@@DarthMajora if you have the hshop download the game off there and try dumping that one. It took me a couple tries but I finally got it working

@@DarthMajora heartgold is easy to randomize, just download the game off a website, launch the randomizer, then open the folder and find where you put the game (but make sure to extract the game first from the folder), then once you find the settings you want and save it, open up the sd card and find your rom folder and boom your all good

You have to copy/paste the .cia file instead of moving it
