For your cupboards with glass doors, use functional ‘decor’. Wooden chopping boards, that cute little crockpot, fancy plates etc
Was coming to say this, i put my "fancy" serving dishes and wine glasses and such in mine. not as often reached for so they stay pretty tidy so you don't have to worry too much that they look cluttered. Also a way to remind you that you have those "nice" things so they get used, not stashed away for that "special occasion" that may never come.

You can also put these sheets of sticky paper up that tint or blur the windows

Thank you for sharing. I found as my kids were growing things changed in the home. Do what's best for your family. I definitely agree to soak up as much time as possible. Kids grow up so fast. For the clear glass kitchen cupboards a couple of suggestions: maybe style it with kids art ( if they make a ceramic or something), or if you find something to display. Possibly tint the glass or use a privacy window so it does not see through anymore. The privacy window treatment is easy to remove if you want to change it back. Just some suggestions.

I can relate on the not having to put together furniture. My husband and I are high school sweethearts as well and we been together for 16 years tomorrow. Half of our life and he is the God sent. Your cutting boards would look great in those empty glass cabinets as decor! I love using functional decor in my kitchen
Or what about putting gathered curtains on the inside of the cabinet doors to hide whatever you want toput in there. My grandmother had those same type cabinets in her 1925 New Jersey house. She used a tiny dotted swiss fabric, and made her own curtains.

I really love the way you don’t just buy a bunch of new stuff all the time just to have them. You don’t try to look like you live in the ultimate influencer home or try to impress everyone with how much money you have. You have nice things and a beautiful home, but you don’t constantly have to have new everything. I’ve seen people get on you about single-use plastic and using plastic at all, but when you do buy plastic it’s almost always things you’re going to keep and use for a long time. You don’t surround yourself with things to show off your money or status.
You don’t come across as someone who can never be satisfied and always wants more, more, more. You just seem grateful for what you have, and who you have. God has blessed you and your family in many ways, and your gratefulness shows. I’ve been watching you for several years now and I’ve never, ever seen anything that even hints at you being boastful or obsessed with material possessions, and I love that about you. ❤
Kitchen cabinets look great! I live in NEOH and have definitely been struggling with weeks without sunshine & winter blahs. Takes a toll on the mental health like clockwork every year. Glad January is o.v.e.r!

My wonderful husband and I were high school sweethearts too and so appreciate him. He puts together furniture, helps with dishes, laundry... I am very blessed. We started dating in 1971, I was a sophomore and he was a junior. He's my rock!! I wasn't feeling well last week, sore throat, tired. It started on Thursday, I did a Covid test that night, it was negative. By Saturday I had no energy, Sunday morning I tested positive, ugh. It is now Saturday and I've been in my bedroom 7 days. My hubby leaves my meals at the door and he has been wonderful. Luckily we have a big master suite with sofa, TV, a French door out to the deck and a French door out to the porch. So I can walk outside without going thru the main part of the house. He has been upstairs in the guest room which has a bathroom. I'm planning to stay like this until Monday just to make sure. I feel good today. I'm finding things to do. I had everything for Valentines Day in my closet so I just put 12 gift bags together, lol. I've been catching up with RUclips videos now. We moved into a new house about 2 1/2 years ago and my new kitchen is so much bigger than my old kitchen. I had some idea of how I wanted to arrange things but I wasn't totally sure. I read a couple of articles that said you want to think of your dishwasher/sink, fridge and range as a triangle because that's where you will be spending most of your time. Then organize within the triangle. Dishes closest to the dishwasher to make it easier to unload, backing/cooking supplies next tot he oven/range, etc. I haven't really moved anything since I set up the kitchen.

Sunshine! We are finally getting some and it feels so good! We have been very warm (hitting 50's again this week) in MN but sunshine just makes it even better.
My high for the week is getting lots of decluttering done. It feels so good to have bags and boxes of stuff out of the house. My low is saying "see you later" to my daughter who is being deployed to not the safest place. It was so hard letting her go from that hug. She is only 19 so still a baby to me. 😢

I married my high school sweetheart, too, so I know what you mean! He would never ask me to mow the lawn, take out trash, etc. It's funny, though, because we have two daughters, and he makes them do these things and teaches them things that I can't/won't do, like cooking, grilling, changing a tire, etc. The girls get annoyed because they say I don't have to do any of that stuff, but he's trying to teach them to be independent and I love it.
Your before-and-after shots blew my mind
I have been with my husband since we met when I was in 8th grade and he was 9th. We had our oldest daughter who is going to be 14 on Friday when we were 16 and 17. We have never been apart and so I definitely understand what you mean. It's just how things go lol. We got married in 2016 and had our second daughter in 2017, bought our dream home in December of 2017 and completed our little family last year with our son after 4 years of miscarriages and an ectopic pregnacy that I had emergency surgery for and lost my left tube and ovary. We got incredibly lucky that we have been together for so long and have been through so much, I couldn't imagine doing that with anyone else.
I like how the kitchen turn out lots of room for everything. Yes, enjoy the time with the girls' time is going very quick. Have a great weekend 😊

Yes! My husband and I have known eachother since Kinder and we’ve been together since our sophomore year of HS and we are the same way! 😂 I can count on one hand the number of times I’ve had to put anything together or even pump my own gas! I joke that i have a gas fairy and my car never runs empty! 🥰
Can't wait to watch this. I am having a terrible day and need to vent. Today is my husband's birthday party and my Sgt kept me at work to work a double. This was my husband's day to relax and I was going to watch your show, clean, along with cook for the party. I had the day scheduled off and he forced me to stay and work a whooping 16 hours. I will be getting off work as my guests are arriving. All I got was a "sorry". I'm so upset I want to shed tears. Good news, my husband and I are in the same field so he understands my crazy schedule and I walked him through step by step how to cook the taco meat. Looks like I will be buying an energy drink and do my best to still make his day special. Thanks for making this a safe space and providing us with motivation. I look forward to your videos every week.
