I installed identical pump. The noise is not only hardly noticeable, but actually reassuring. The issue I have is that when tested ( hose pouring fresh water into ski while tilted up ) shows little flow out of PWC. The outlet for the pump is VERY constricting. 1/3 of the water pours back in. The hoses it connects to are designed for siphoning water out while the impeller is running, and not a free flow for a bilge pump. I will be drilling a simple outlet for the bilge pump, and reconnecting the cut off hose section to siphon as designed.
The pump is 24V, so using 12V I expect 1/2-1/4 the published volume of water, but an increase ( maybe ) of the service life. The life is 150 hrs, so I don’t expect to have 150 hours on my Seadoo for 4 years of so.
If the carbon seal leaks, or if I hit an object at 50MPH ( say, a coconut ), a bilge may make the difference between making shore or not.
Please try to read on the pump the producer # will be IL200P and a last part... let me know if is 12 o 24 .
Tks a lot
was explaining the power connection not worth it?
Should have done more detail there. Sorry about that.
That runs if running audio only too? Will kill battery fast. I’m buying same ski, probably will do one with a float switch direct to battery , so that it will kick on if docked and off and water accumulates also. Nice video, enjoy your ski, beauty!
It's been fine since I've had it installed. It shouldn't kill the battery unless it's an old end of life battery. I did find it odd that it runs nonstop but BRP says that's how it's suppose to function.
Where are you ridding when you get yours?
@@ChadHughes_Rate_Ride_DIY I’ll be in North Carolina riding Lake Norman, Jordan Lake and occasional beach trips.
@maccam2626 join the jet rider nation group on Facebook. We have a huge community of riders. You can find some riders in your area for group rides if you want. It's a blast!
@@ChadHughes_Rate_Ride_DIY will do thanks for the suggestion
Hello, is it necessary to put Bilge Pump on the jet ski? thank you.
It's more of an insurance policy. You never know when the carbon seal will go or a hose blows off. It's definitely worth it!
Ok thanks you for you help.
Did you have a hard time getting the mounting bracket bolt in? I had a hell of a time, had to use washers because I could not get the bolt down any further.
It was very difficult to get that in. I'm not sure why these don't just come standard from the factory. It's an essential piece of the ski. That would be like selling the ski without a battery. It would only add $200 to the price and give the customer a good feeling knowing they have an insurance policy.
Won't running the pump dry just burn it out?
You would think so but it won't. I confirmed with the dealer that this is how it's designed to function.
It runs all the time and making that noise?? Oh no, is a nope for me
Honestly you don't even hear it with the engine running.
