Thank you so much beta for your kind words.

My family was born in Africa for 2 generations and as the African countries were being granted independence and due to the instability of the new government my father planned to move to UK. In 1968 the laws were changing and we had to make a quick decision to emigrate to UK. My mom, brother and I went first as my dad had to give a 6 month notice to leave his government job. In those days there was no TV, phone, or other type of media except newspapers. We arrived in the middle of February in Uk with no earthly idea as to what to expect. We were picked by a stranger who was a relative of a friend. My dad talegramed him with our flight details.
It was a most shocking experience ever. I grew up there and later at 25 emigrated to the USA. I sometimes wonder how we did it and it seems like a movie to me now.
Salute to your family, especially your parents for being so resilient.
It takes a lot of courage to uproot yourself, especially in an unstable situation and uncertain times to relocate to a land and future unknown.
You and your family are very brave and deserve all the good wishes from my family to yours❤❤
I really like this family inspite of all the struggles they went through they never gave up or thought of returning back to India hats off to this family.
Thank you Veenaji for your kind and encouraging words for our family.
During our struggles we learnt to be together as a family and fight out all odds together, which is our strength.
All was well till Trudeau. Became PM....
Uncle ji true gentle men he didn't took dowry and family struggled together what so ever.
Thank you all for your kind words and words of encouragement even. That's my family and in every sense of the word, they are the only treasure I will ever truly want. Growing up with my parents and my brother, I felt like I had hit a jackpot. Hearing them speak of our lived-in struggles on such a wonderful platform and with such a kind host @CandidCast makes my heart swell with pride. Home is where the heart is and our heart is with each other ❤❤❤❤ Thank you, Sir for giving them a chance to express themselves like this 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽
Why you did not joined?
pls pass on my best wishes to them.. so impressed by your folks.. they are a great example for eveyone
Mother is very polite and doesn't interrupt unlike that other video where the wife was interrupting the husband on every sentence (OMG) She also sounds very knowledgeable and practical, could relate even though it was many years ago.
I salute this lady. She is a glue of her family. In spite of all the adversities in her life she has never given up. 🎉🎉
She is our absolute rock. Ma shabd ka matlab humari Ma ne humein actions se dikhaya hai.
@@arpsmhey there. You are the 4th A?

Our salutations to You all , the Mukherjee family , ...simply a brave one.....and good job you , the host / podcaster !!....Keep it up ❤❤
Is it me only or anyone else felt that they should keep going with their experiences, it was such a beautiful podcast. I lost my father because of kidney ailment and i could relate what goes to a family when somone is dealing with such issue.
You should call them again for part 2. ❤
Extremely sorry to hear of your loss. Indeed going through kidney issues is tough especially for the entire family. The only way we are dealing with it as a family is taking one day at a time and being positive and making the best of each day
The upbringing is shown the the boy. Iron Lady and solid father . Soo good to hear. Thoroughly enjoyed the podcast . Every minute was an enjoyment .
Stay blessed u all
Agreed. None of them are interrupting each other

Thank you so much for your kind words for my wife. Truly she is the Rock of our family. The way she stands by the entire family selflessly to raise our children to become good human beings by instilling good values in them is commendable.
Our children are our pride and we cannot thank God for making us their parents.
God bless you🙏🙏
@akmnag your welcome 🙏no it's all you and your wife's afford the was they turned out the way they did wish all the parents were like you two God bless 🙏
Although canadian healthcare has its challenges, i liked the fact that healthcare in canada is free. The kind of health crises this family went through, in other countries it would have been unimaginably expensive. I dont mind paying extra taxes if education and healthcare benefits are included. Another thing i learnt from this family is that we can start from scratch at any age and upskill/ study at any age. Thank you for this wonderful interview.
Very true, Robin.
And yes, if you have a positive attitude and the will to make it work, you can start from scratch at any age❤
I live in India and never to wish to move in Canada but hats off this family and their struggle which is life lesson. This is really a unique Podcast.
Thank you very much for your encouragement. Appreciate it
They are hardworking couple who love each other and stood by each other always and made best choices for their children. Hats off to them and kids

Hello sir I need your guidance@axmukhar
Need yr guidance sir
One more thing uncle is very right I am from Himalaya in india and we look like north east and I faced so many racism in india . Here in America I didn't faced any racism.
I feel for the family but if anyone ever wonders why Canada is not doing well financially then look no further than this....
There is a simple logic: if you are extracting more value out of the country than you are putting in (in terms of taxes) then it is not sustainable in the long run. There is a reason why US healthcare is costly because healthcare "IS" fundamentally extremely expensive-
1) the equipments are not something that is manufactured in millions in Chinese factories, they are made with high tolerances and are made in small unit. The building and other facilities also cost more money than other normal buildings like a mall or factory.
2) the people who provide service are not your average joes, they are some of the most sharp minded and hard working people and hence their wages reflect that.
Just imagine how much you have to pay for a good meal at a good restaurant and multiply it by around 20X, say a meal would cost $100 for two people then it should cost you at least $2000 for one days or few hours of medical services. Could be more or less depending on various factors.
People would argue "well but we paid taxes for 10-20 years and we didn't use the healthcare system at that time so we should be able to use it more if needed now" well you also used all other facilities like roads, public transportation, police protection, defense forces for the nation, justice system, education system and many other things, all of which cost billions of dollars EACH year.
So for medical services, if you were to ACTUALLY pay money out of your pocket then you'd simply go broke after a week or two of medical service at best. I understand medical factors are out of peoples hand but because the healthcare system is overburdened the government has to either shutdown public free system or increase taxes to balance the finances. There is no free lunch, Canada just can't keep doing what it is doing.
People cribbing about working in a lower position, not working in the same field as they used to back home OR not earning as much as they used to back home, should learn something from Mr. Mukherjee. Even after working as an AVP in India, he didn't give up living through all the hardships in Canada and even sold Credit Cards for living, he is so down to earth and graceful. Salute to his attitude and Respect for whole Mujherjee Family! Canada is definitely not for people who don't want to come out of their comfort zone and for those who are accustomed to having domestic help in their native countrym they should not come to Canada. Wish there were more immigrants like Mujherjee family & their helpful friends in Canada.
Nothing courageous in leaving your decent paying job and start working at an entry level position. It's called foolishness and I expect people in their 40s to be more mature and thoughtful before taking such impulsive decision that not only ruined their financial & mental stability but also put themselves & their family into never ending spiral of uncertainty. The amount of love people have for "Phoren" despite having a stable lifestyle in India is beyond my comprehension, if they show even 50% of that louuuve for their motherland, India would have progressed so much (not a patriotic rant but it's a total senseless decision for a salaried employee to literally throw his prime earning years and be jobless or doing an entry level job)
Most people who leave India want to get rid of the mindset and negativity which prevails in the country, which will never change no matter how progressive and open minded rest of the world becomes. It forces people to take such decisions even at older ages and we all can very well see how happy this family is in Canada.
Thank you very much for your kind words. Feel humbled
A true hardworking gentleman who knows how to live his life to the fullest. His priorities are clear and has no shame in working hard to achieve what he wants in life.

This is a wonderful family and I'm glad they spoke the truth!
If you have a positive attitude doors will open up.
I'm also glad they talked about the elephant in the room on South Asian managers harassing, abusing, and taking advantage of employees. This should be brought up on the main stream media.
This family is the kind of people you'd want as your neighbors!
Wow, Positive Family 👍

Aunty ji is cleverly passing difficult questions. Uncle ji is controlled by Aunty ji 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Everything is fine with this family. The zeal to move abroad, the hard work they did before going, life style changes etc. only thing is that since they were well placed in india, it was not necessary for them to go there. But after all, its their life. If anyone has good salary plus property in india, i think not required to move.out.of country.
thinking same, don't understand why people glorify doing hardwork abroad, if same family put same efforts in India they can live better life in India itself.
@@nikhilkumar-YT I think people are giving more importance the Mirage of great life abroad instead of a fruitful and satisfying life in India n that too living amongst parents, children n known circles.
Canada days are gone now Canada is hell,..
I'm 44 from Thane, Mumbai, India. Since last few years I was planning to immigrate but couldn't fit the point system. I'm always wondering if I'm old enough to again go abroad , especially countries which are far from India, like Canada, Aus, NZ etc , I'm saying 'again' because back in 2006 , I was in the US, MI for my Masters in Information Systems, but had to return back as didn't get job and had to return to Mu.bai in 2010. This video has given me some strength and courage since you started afresh at 49, kudos to you !!
Not sure how I'm gonna fit in point system for any country😮
Do not give up hope. Stay positive and keep trying. Everything will work for you.
God bless you
